Absolutely shocking ! my daughter has been locked out of her account due to technical error from their end. Customer service is now not responding to my questions .
She has spent her own pocket money to buy star coins. I am so disappointed with this company.Do not sign up with this game it’s a rip off !!!

I wish i could give them ZERO! What a damn fraud!!! Child spent WEEKS ‘growing’ her damn horse only to find out we had to BUY it for her to actually ‘ride’ the damn thing!!! Only after spending $$$ to do so did we find out also have to BUY a membership for the game. WHAT a damn ripoff!!! Save your $; run far, FAR away!!!

Updates have gotten smaller. and more boring
No in game content, They ignore players, They use covid as a silly excuse. \(O.O)/ I bought a horse recently (icelandic horse) and named it Star and then I was about to click "buy" But then a network error struck. I logged on with 959 less star coins, and NO HORSE! They never focus on main quests. The customer service is not great. Star stable, We all loved you until this. Stop digging your own grave.

This is the worst app I've ever brought my daughter. She has had many though covid being so ill. Every app on every device I've purchased dose not work and asking for a refund I had lots of condescending reply in the end I've had to ask PayPal to refund me and Google. When we got the app the things we purchased where never given and I've also had to fight for refund. I suggest after my experience to go elsewhere my daughter very upset and is in love with horses but her health won't let her ride I've had such a battle. As I do what I can to feed the gap. All the reviews are not what they say . Thanks

I’ve only been playing Star Stable for a year, and I’ve seen a huge decrease in the quality of the game. The team is focused pushing out content for on money and ignores the feedback of players.

I used to really enjoy this game however, now it feels they are becoming money-hungry and don't listen to their players.
One of the main problems I find is that you can't be a boy character. In the interview with Stacy Place and the CEO of star stable, it reported that Stacy said although any gender can play, it will remain with female characters as it is a soul rider sisterhood. They might as well just say that boys can't like horses, which is ridiculous as the game was founded by a man.
Another problem is that they only really care about new, non-star rider players as they are the people who can pay lots of money. But old players don't seem to matter anymore. There are no quests left to complete and no sign of main quest updates. All they are able to do in the game is buy horses and train them. Let's be honest, who really finds that fun? They should focus on the old players who have actually been loyal to the game. One of my two favourite protesters are Denise Wisestorm and Rat Rattle (check them out on youtube). It might seem like I'm droning on, but my third and final point is that the characters look like cooked noodles. They don't even interact with horses and ride them properly.
Overall, this game is nice and the graphics and horses are brilliant. But please, Star Stable, listen to my review, I know I'm one of thousands, but then again, listen to your players, make the game better and more fun for everyone, rather than focusing on money. Please, take my comments into consideration.

i love sso but i shoudl have more starter levels bc im not a starter person but i cant afford anything yet but i can never level up and i think that i should have to be a star rider to go places!!! thats all but my staments stands and the star rider thing needs to change

Can be expensive but does not have to be. Some people are abit mean but I just ignore it ( there's a ignore list ).I've played since 2018 or 2019 it's now 2021 and I'm lv18, but that's it

This is a pure scam...the game requires a monthly paid subscription to play. Then bots in the game pretending to be other players present better looking "amazing" horses to your child offering her to purchase it for $30 per horse. Then if you stop the subscription all that will go away...pure scam!

i love sso but... they are very unfair to non-star riders and they need to fix it and add some more western stuff i love western so much but i wish there was more of it and, they NEED to not do 100 sc per week but instead do 200 a week, like we literally play your game for countless hours buy your horses,tack,clothes and even upgrade our home stable sso please start being fair to us and not just using us for our money.

This would be a fun game if they wouldn't cheat you on races just to make money. I do not like greedy games where you cannot get anywhere without having to pay for it. If people want to pay fine. But, when they are setting up for races they make sure you lose if you don't pay for the better horses. My friend can't even run in some races now if she doesn't become a star member.

I love star stables, but I think you should make it so all people can get nice horses without paying for star coins.
Star stables is super fun and it’s a great game to do races and free roam but I do think that you should add a part where people can design there own horse like they pick what the spots look like and what the feet are like and stuff like that, but it would be best for it to be free if you ever do that.
Last thing I should say is that you should be allowed to pick the gender of your character in the sign in.

Star stable is absolutely amazing. I've been playing the game for around 2 and a half years now and have had no bad experiences. I only buy star coins when it is double star coins and it saves me so much! Definitely recommend this game to children ages of around 7+.

Before I begin, you'll have to understand that SSO's revenue is more based around their offers and along those lines, yes it's unfair that prices on horses are so high, prices on items are also high, the recent backlash they've received sortof shook them, in all honesty it's a horse game with difficulties around their gameplay.
Although when you begin as a new player the amount of quests until level 17-18 are extraordinary, the max level is 20-21 currently which takes months to get to
They make their money via purchases on star coins and star rider, they do not have anything else really to support them and their staff.
Most reviews left my staff on sites are one side of the spectrum while the complete sso team has more than one staff member as an office would, which also need to get paid in some way or another, you wouldn't go around asking an famous artist to paint you a portrait for free.

In all honesty I enjoy the game although the mismanagements in their team is more focused around the horse aspect not the game/story aspect, it's more SSO's problem, although people have complained about getting bored of the game the whole time there are a two things you have to think about:
1. What is there else to do in a horse game long term to keep players around?
2. Will it be able to pay staff their salary?

Besides this, please don't get unencouraged by other people, you will have to pay for a lifetime purchase or a subscription, although it's worth it when your child does not have people around them to be 'friends' with. In my personal expierence even now I do not have trouble making friends on the popular servers
Please give your child a talk about online safety before letting them play the game though!

If you are alittle bit wary about the price of 50-74 usd you can wait for the 30-20% off deals, aswell as using a VPN to go onto the South African servers will let you be able to pay 49 usd/ 35 pounds. Although it'd be wise to go for a time-zone close to your own 1-2 hours

Star Stable Is An Amazing Game. For People Say It Is To Expensive, There Is Times Every Now And Then Where It Goes On Sale! I Hope You Enjoy SSO!

Hi. My name is Samantha. If you are a parent (or just someone curious about starting to play Star Stable Online), please listen to my story before thinking about putting 1 cent into this game.

I started playing in early 2018, and Star Stable was great at the time! But lately, it's been horrible.

I recommend reading other reviews as well as mine to get the full story. Lately, SSM (Star Stable Management) has come out with nothing but horses. Now you might be like, "Great! Isn't Star Stable all about horses?" Well yes, but there's also a lot more to Star Stable. Star Stable provides a wide variety of quests that you can complete. Quests are how you level up in the game. When leveling up, you get more access to the horses, quests, and now and then you'll get access to new locations. And why do I keep mentioning horses? Well, the horses are part of why I am writing this review. In order to get horses, you need to have an in-game currency called "Star Coins"! How do you get Star Coins? Well, if you are a Star Rider (WHICH YOU HAVE TO BUY! For me, it was $70 USD. You can also buy a 3-month Subscription, but once it expires, you will no longer receive Star Coins) and you will receive 100 Star Coins on Saturdays. 100 Star Coins IS NOT enough to buy any of the horses! The other way to receive Star Coins is, you guessed it, buying them! Currently, for 5000 Star Coins (and a special Flying Manta Ray) it's $65 USD! Which is outrageous! With COVID and everything, I'm sure that some parents can't afford it, and then when you have to tell your child that you can't afford it, or are trying to save your money, they get mad/sad.

I want to talk about Star Rider real quick. I have lifetime Star Rider for my account, which means I don't have to pay a cent after I bought Star Rider. It's a 1-time deal. What does Star Rider allow you to do? Well, it allows you to unlock more locations and quests. Without Star Rider, you can only get to a certain level before you have to pay for Star Rider so you can continue playing SSO and exploring the world. Remember how I said that for some horses you have to be at a certain level? Well, you can't get to that level without being a Star Rider! So if your child comes up to you and asks for maybe 1000 Star Coins to buy a horse THEY CAN'T GET without Star Rider, it's basically a waste of money.

I have spent over $600+ USD on this game in 3 YEARS! I regret it to this day. I'm level 20, and once you reach level 20, quests slow down and all that's left is reputation. Reputation is side-quests that allow you to gain a stronger relationship with that NPC (Nonplayer Character). Once you gain a stronger relationship with the NPC, you can unlock more quests (not side-quests), but it takes a while to get your reputation up. And what about the main storyline quests? On halt. We have had no new quests that involve the main storyline quests in maybe 3-4 months? And before that, we were waiting maybe 2-ish years for the recent part of the storyline.

Recently, Star Stable has released the 3rd Generation Arabian horse (released on May 5, 2021). The Arabian is great in my opinion! Star Stable has also returned Alya and Umbra, "magical horses." When I say "magical horses," I mean that their coat just changes. That's it. Nothing special. Ayla and Umbra made a return on June 2, 2021. And guess what? Last week they released the Percherons! Now, let's think, that's 3 horses in 3 months. Sometimes it's worse tho. 2-3 horses a month. With that being said, almost all these horses cost 850-950 Star Coins. So what does that mean? Your child is most likely to come up to you, every month, and ask for Star Coins so they can get this horse. Not many people have over 2000 Star Coins, just sitting around, so almost always you are going to be asked for Star Coins. Now, with Alya and Umbra, they leave Jorvik (the land) after a couple of weeks, so then you are pounded by your child to get Star Coins. And once they get the horse/s, oh! Look! Another horse is being released! "Mom/Dad, there's another horse coming out on Star Stable! Can I get Star Coins to get it?"

Star Stable Customer Support isn't the best either. It's normally the same automated message. They take a while to respond. Why? They say they're "busy with assisting other plays due to the lack of staff members." I sent an email to them once with a really good idea for Jorvik, and what happened? They respond by saying that they'd send it to their team that is in charge of what comes to Jorvik, but my idea never happened. I also emailed them once regarding a disrespectful player, and what did they do? Nothing.

So definitely think again before allowing your child to play this game.

This company is an absolute joke. Take note parents. After my daughter was no longer intrested in playing this game, I tried to unsubscribe with no luck. Every 3 mnths I'm still getting charged even after changing my credit card info and numbers. I have been dealing with for over 6 mnths. I am writing this as I've been on the phone w my bank for 5 hr today, trying to figure put how they obtained my new information. DO NOT INPUT ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION.
If this dosnt work, we are going to have to close out all our accounts and reopen.
