Dont go with state insurance company they just ripp off. their cheap hire staff dont have any experience. they sell policy but they dont tell people what cover what not.

Absolutely TOP marks. Our car was written off. Lodging a claim is a piece of cake. Everything was handled quickly and efficiently and the money was in the bank in less than a week.

Have been with State for 19 yrs, generally ok but it has become increasingly difficult to speak to someone.
This obsession with doing things online/bot chats and waiting for someone to speak to is making me change to/deal with Co's who can still offer a quick response and one on one service (hence I am looking to find an alternative to State starting today

Ripped off!!
Had been with State for 45+ years. Had three policies you get a good discount. Wrong still 45% more expensive than AA!
That is a lot of money over the years!

Parked my car in my garage and didn't pull in far enough. Garage Door rested on my tow bar :( State were absolutely fantastic. Even though the Garage door person wasn't one of their preferred people they accepted the claim and put money in my account to pay the man. Paid for a full door replacement. I was worried that my next years premium would go up but it went down slightly. The following year it did but probably not related.

Took a business assets policy out 7 years ago and now find when I need to claim as I am a mobile DJ that there is a reinstatement limit of 2 years on electronic equipment that was never disclosed by the insurance representative at the time of purchase - very disappointed that I have been paying nearly $2k per year for a policy that won't cover my assets for full replacement only second hand value.
