Bad customer service after sales
I’ve purchased 2 pairs of shoes, one of the boxes had the wrong shoes inside. When contacted customer service the response was, nothing we can do just please return it to us ( and on top of this I need to pay the return 11Eur)!!
After a back and forth chain of email I was offered 10% off in the next purchase, that in no way helped with my issue!! very very poor customer service and lack of organization. Sending the wrong pair of shoes only shows poor stock management and shocking return policy !
My sandals died after 4 days of wearing
First of all, I want to say that I really love Steve Madden shoes, and 80% of my footwear is from this brand. Unfortunately, my latest sandals (Bonkers Sandal) only lasted 4 days before the sole cracked. At the shoe repair shop, they said that only glue could help. They were glued, but it only lasted for 2 days before the sole cracked again. Unfortunately, it became impossible to wear them. The sandals were purchased in January, I started wearing them in May, and the sole cracked in May. Therefore, a return was not possible. It's sad because these sandals looked really pretty and I got a lot of compliments. Delivery and other stuff were fast and good.
I received a gift card from a friend…
I received a gift card from a friend and used it to order shoes in early July. I completed the checkout process, and the money was deducted from my gift card, but I never received an order confirmation. To date, I haven’t received the package, and the money is gone. I had brief contact with customer service, but they have been ignoring my emails ever since. This is not what I expected from such a well-known brand. I won’t be ordering from them again, and as an influencer with 2M+ followers, I will make sure to share this experience widely. :-)
Spare yourself the headache
The sizing is awful as well as the returning. I spent 99€ on shoes that don't fit and never got them back. Costumer service is almost non-existent.

Seam loose no answer
After a day it felt like every seam on my sandals had come loose and on the next day it got even worse and I immediately contacted support and was granted a return or a 20% discount. After I submitted my opinion on this, I received no response. Annoying, because I actually love Steve Madden, but I also have a bag where the quality unfortunately leaves something to be desired. Now no one responds, not even to the second email in which I announced that I would like to send the shoes back.

DO NOT BUY FROM STEVE MADDEN. I have had the same returns issue as sooooo many other customers. I’ve been trying to return shoes, I paid for a returns label, I was charged for the return but never received the label. I’ve been back and forth over email and nobody will help me. Everytime I get a response I’m told to contact a different company and then that company tells me to contact Steve Madden. Nobody will help. Now I’m being told that I need pay €28 to return the shoes through my own postal service even though I’ve already paid €14.45! Steve Madden are a scam. I buy a lot online and have never had these sorts of issues with any other company.

Terrible customer service experience
I have no issue with the products from Steve Madden but the online customer service is terrible. I was mistakenly charged for a return label which was never issued. In the meantime, I paid again myself to make a return and 6 weeks later I am still waiting for the refund for the incorrect return label. Each time customer service replied, they had clearly not read the history of the case and continue to give me conflicting and wrong information. It should not take over 6 weeks to make a simple refund.
Deception
Deception. I ordered shoes there and they arrived with a defect. I sent it back, but they haven’t responded or returned the money for a month now!!!

Be aware that Steve Madden has very slow and poor customer service. In case of a complaint, you have to pay the return shipping yourself and spend a lot of resources to get it back. They have not covered all my costs even though it is a legal requirement. I cannot in any way recommend shopping with them.

I would like to give 0 stars. I am waiting for my refund since 1.5 months. I have send proof of return, I have started an investigation with returnista they send all information to the customer service, I have started conversations with DHL who clearly told me Steve Madden is the business partner and can only claim for missing parcel as me as the end customer returned and send proof of return. Steve Madden till today tells me the same reply open an investigation we did not receive any result, which is a lie as Returnista even put me in CC!!!!!!! Never order again at this Webshop!!!! This has to get legal actions against this company!!!!

I never received my products. A month after my order, I received a message saying that my return had been registered. Now the shoes I wanted are no longer available.

Ridiculous sizing & paying for returns?
I tried 2 different sneakers in 1 month. My usual size in other brands is 39.
Sneaker 1: size 38 way too small & tight, size 39 way too big
Sneaker 2: size 39 way too small, size 40 way too big… How can there be such a huge difference between 2 sizes? And such a huge difference in 2 sneakers from the same brand?
And what’s even worse: I had to pay to return the items! I have to pack up the shoes again, go to the store to return them and this costs me €7. Don’t ever order directly from SM. There are lots of resellers that provide free shipping ánd returns!
