I had been buying games true Steam for 10 years. Never ran into blockers where I would need the sellers (Steam's) support. Until a week ago. I ran into a large scale scam, fraud, called Ashes of Creat... See more

Delivered me an unfinished games at…
Delivered me an unfinished games at unplayable frame rates after labelling it playable on steam deck. I played for exactly 30min before requesting a refund. That request was denied.
Service policy: take money and run
The worst service I've seen. They will make their best to take no responsibility. The type of service which could be more or less (not much though) controlled only by user boycotts: no laws, no reputation, nothing but money. Really bad guys. They still make some good things to the community, but the the share of good goes down every month. Avoid if possible, you've been warned.
I purchased PGA 2k21 through Steam…
I purchased PGA 2k21 through Steam almost 4 weeks ago. I have been contacting them almost every day for help with the program. They have not provided any help whatsoever. When I request a refund, they send me to another site which then sends me back to Steam in a never-ending loop. The game does not work on my HP Envy desktop with way more capability than required. I have gotten nowhere in trying to resolve the problem. Now there saying I can't get a refund because I've had the program for more than 14 days. What a rip-off. I'll never do any business with Steam again. They have taken my money and ran away.
Steam user for 10 years.
I created my Steam account in 2013. I've bought a few games and was very happy with them. It's great that Steam now has so many games that are compatible with GNU/Linux (aka Linux).
I JUST GAVE A REVIEW STATING HOW…
I JUST GAVE A REVIEW STATING HOW HORRIBLY BAD STEAM IS. MY REVIEW SHOWED I RATED IT WITH 2 STARS, WHEN I ONLY GAVE IT ONE STAR! IT SHOULD BE ZERO (-0-) STARS, BUT THE REVIEW SITE DOESN'T PROVIDE THIS.
STEAM SHOULD RENAME THEMSELVES "STINK"
Absolutely woeful
Absolutely woeful. Delivered me an empty box and now saying I have multiple accounts and won’t refund
Reported them to trading standards and bank chargeback them
Avoid at all costs, the staff are absolutely brain dead and Elizabeth is the cheekiest person ever who I could take to court alone for defamation of character
These guys will steal 10 dollars from…
These guys will steal 10 dollars from you in a heartbeat. I just bought the same game for 10 bucks Dying Light on sale today haven't even installed it.
I have another copy I bought on my family-shared account and forgot I had it already. It has 14 hours of gameplay. I contact them for a refund they keep coming back without looking at the receipt that I bought it today at 3 pm there is no way I could have played 14hrs on a new Copy Of The Game. I explained this on the refund. They keep coming back saying I played 14hrs already. Two different game keys now I have to keep the Enhanced Edition on this account when I already have the Standard on another for family play.
The sad part their system is set up to steal from their customers. They do not even check to resolve it for me to see I am not lying they just keep 10 bucks I wanted them to credit it to my account so I can buy the Definitive Version still I asked and explained twice what happened all I got was I played a game that I haven't installed yet from purchase today at 3 pm for 14 hours. I played it on a family-shared account.
CRIMINALS - all companies are doing some nasty shiznit to people now these days. Below is how can I have played for 14 hours and then on top of that its obvious that I haven't installed a new copy of the game because it would have taken 3 hours to install on my wifi. Below is my receipt these dudes are screwed up, greedy pieces of trash. I was going to get the bigger version once they refunded it to my account. As$ Holes.

If they give me my purchase back I will remove this review but if not they stole my money and this review remains so others that have family shared a game and buy the same game on the main account do not have to go through this. Now I have two copies I do not need. They have no phone support to WATCH OUT!
This game engine is terible! Don’t use it!
This game engine is terible! Have created an account at some point in my past and compleatly forgot it! Now i am in need to uze the account for my VR set but am getting asked for the original CD key i ised to create the account that might even be up to 15 years ago! I can’t even delete the account. When contacting support they just go in circle's asking for the same cd key.. Think they just Copy paste all replies.
Am wondering if they are not making money from this.. As many others are in the same situation.
had an account with steam
had an account with steam simply because i can find no other way to keep playing pc games unless they are on a dusty old disc in my vast collection. going back to a console. steam does not provide a good experience. one can download seemingly cheap or free games only to find out there is more money to pay to acquire things in the game. very similar to the games at a county fair, 2 balloons wins a prize 10 balloons wins a bigger prize. not fun or compelling.
Very good for buying games
Very good for buying games. Never had a problem with them.
Steam sucks
Steam sucks I tried to make an account for about 20 minutes I had to do that damn robot test probably 30 times I just wanted an account and after that i still didn't get an account I will never try to make another one.
DO NOT TRUST STEAM!!!!
Steam guard got hacked so someone was able to get into my account without my Steam guard approvel and they stole skins for more than 1500 euros.... Steam does nothing even though its their terrible system that is getting hijacked by hackers and scammers again and again and again..... I lost 1500 euros all for nothing and Steam takes ZERO responsibility. DO NOT TRUST STEAM!!!!
I Don't Understand The Hate
I've been using Steam for years now and I never had a problem. What company do you know that offers you to refund for a game if you have less than 2 hours or bought it in the last 14 days?
By the time it has loaded it's updates
By the time it has loaded it's updates, verified account, and connected with the Steam Community I have lost interest and found something else to do. I am sick to death of waiting, waiting, waiting. I ended up deleting everything so in that respect it helped me as I no longer waste my time playing non-productive PC games.
Steal
It would be more appropriate to call it "Steal".
Too many games present crashes and if they start crashing after two hours of gaming you don't deserve to be refund. This is a real theft. Even if Steal clearly write "Even if you fall outside of the refund rules we've described, you can ask for a refund anyway and we'll take a look", they won't take a look at all. That message is only there to make fun of customers. Steal is a thief and a cheater. They can sell you a game for 70$ that stops work correctly after two hours of gaming, making you believe that you will be able to get a refund anyway, but they won't refund you. They prefer to pocket the money they have stolen from you rather than keep a customer.
Goodbye Steal. I will keep the games I downloaded until now (at least the working ones) and I will never buy anything on Steal anymore. Shame on you.
nothing can be done sorry
I think i started this account sometime in the early 2000s about 3 years ago my house was burgled lost computer phone. I stopped gaming then beginning of this month oct 2022 I tried to reclaim me steam account and its been impossible even though they know its me i cant give steam wallet codes cd keys etc the email address for accountrecovery doesnt exist anymore so im annoyed with steam said we cant give you access because account is very valuable , great where does that leave me this is an abridged version
Supports terrible business practices
A title on Steam recently implemented a region restriction. The title remains playable and you can continue to utilize the cash shop.
No problem, that's fine.
When I encountered a problem with that title, Steam refused to provide any assistance. Refunds are broken, either due to poor integration on the developer/publisher or the region restriction.
More importantly, Steam doesn't care if you are able to receive support for any microtransactions performed for said title through their platform.
Steam support non-existing
Steam support non-existing. I tried to buy a game over their website, it kept up freezing and wouldn't progess the payment, so i bought the cd-key somewhere else and tried to activate it on steam but i couldn't because it said that to many activaten attempts have been done from your ip adress please try again later. And i can't find any help any where on their website and not even a live chat or a place to create a ticket!
Steam support doesn't give you answer
Steam support doesn't give you answer, maybe after 5 days later...
Steam security steam system not…
Steam security steam system not working. My csgo inventory was hacked. Steam hasn't even noticed. I can't recommend this platform. Watch out for your accounts.
