I had been buying games true Steam for 10 years. Never ran into blockers where I would need the sellers (Steam's) support. Until a week ago. I ran into a large scale scam, fraud, called Ashes of Creat... See more

Technical challenge with Steam

Always hated the one stop shop idea of…
Always hated the one stop shop idea of games online. But this is what most people use. Decent choice of games. Have only purchased a few games with paypal, can even buy on third party sites, but with risk that steam can cancel anytime. They offer some discounts like up to 50% off so it is worth waiting if you can. Prices will tumble after a year of game coming out. Most games are not too demanding hardware wise, they list the PC specifications that you will need. User reviews are handy. And you will have two weeks for a refund of purchase. Some games are even free! Start your gaming lifestyle today.
Really good platform
Really good platform! Bought 10 games already, no problems. Very good prices, and high discounts.
Happy New Year's discounts :)
Great Software And Service!!
I've never had a problem with steam. Many times I've gifted games to my friends and it was great and fun. Recently however I fell for a scam which made me put my steam credentials in. After that my account was hijacked. I immediately emailed steam support and within a few hours they reset the password, emailed me the new password and after that I had my account back!
Overall, Steam is a great platform and is great for anyone who normally plays games!!
This is the platform for games. Full dot.
People reports for sites being down, and its not like they are going to maintance it or anything. And they say support its not fast, its not like Valve have 21M customer supporters that can help them 24/7.
An excellent video game service
This is an excellent video game service provided by Valve! I've accumulated quite the library of games and couldn't be happier with their prices and the sale seasons. This service allows refunds too, if you've played a game for less than two hours!

Shameful - Order elsewhere or pirate
Clearly, Steam doesn't care, as shown by not claiming their TP account and replying to the criticism, so please, take your purchases elsewhere, or pirate the content you want instead.
In this case, someone had a mod with a name not far off the name of a real company. The mod was removed for a trademark complaint. When the mod author tried to get help from Steam, claming fair use and parody, Steam just told him to read the email and contact the plaintiff. In other words "its your problem".
As much as I understand that mods are hosted by Steam and not created by them, Steam ultimately has made money from these mods because they make many games more appealing. A percentage of Steam purchases go to Steam. Without mods, Steam would ultimately earn less money. If steam has this Workshop functionality and benefits from it, they should surely support their mod authors with at least some more advice and support than "deal with it yourself". What a shameful company.
Steam Suport SUCKS!!
NEVER EVER use steam again !!!
So i unbox a REALLY rare skin, and after two days or so it is gone from my account.
I try to look at my trades to se where is could have gone, and there it is clear as day.
A trade i DID NOT ACCEPT !!
So my skin was stolen, i immediately repport it to the police and steam.
The police open a criminal case on the matter, and what do steam do NOTHING!
In their own policy they say we do not restore skins, since we normaly get the restore request to late for us to do anything about it before the skin switch account again.
And if we make a copy it will drop in value for everyone else and that is not fair.
Well my skin is stil in this guys account because they trade banned him, so now my skin is locked in a unusable account for ever.
So now al the other skins became more rare because we lost on of them to a thief that was banned.
But will they help me reverse the trade?
No they will not, the double standards is so crazy.
They got the power to help their customers, but they screw them over on purpose because they dont care at all !
I have used that platform for more then 20 years, and put more then 80.000 grand in to my account and never asked for anything in return.
But the second i do, they just close my support tickets with astandard response that basically saying: Go f*** yourself sucker, we got your money and we do not care.
They will much rather have theifs and scammers run wild on their platform, instead of trying to help their paying customers !
So in conclusion, steam is a great platform aslong as you don't ever need any help from their shi*** support.
What a horrible platform
What a horrible platform. When you want to buy a skin for a certain price, you add money to your account, it takes more then 30 minutes before it is available... meanwhile BYE BYE item, good luck with next purchage for more money... All with all profits for Valve... This is not the first time, it happens ALL the time.
this is what PC Master race looks like
This Site/Launcher Is The Reason Why I Support Gaming!
This is the best online game store out there! And the launcher is amazing! Other big companies are trying to achieve something like this, but they can't even come close to what steam is!

Steam has a problem with loging me out and because I have multiple passwords that I need to try, it decides its funny to limit them so it takes me ages, and if that wasn't bad enough, im trying to install a game and now I can't because of it

Amazing how its probably been years and they still haven't fixed the screenshot viewing bug....every time you view your screenshots it comes up with like a info page so you have to click a page 20 times just to see the screenshots its so annoying.....you get to page 8 then it comes up with these screenshot info page then you have to spend 5 min making it all way back to page 8 again and now after the update you cant even see your screenshots! just stuck on "Steam has made it easier to take and share screenshots of your favorite games." page.
