Andrew and the team were fantastic. We wanted to get our log burner fitted before Christmas in our new home. Andrew managed to get us fitted in and done within a couple of weeks. Amazing job, we're so happy with it, very reasonable pricing when comparing with other companies nearby. The guys fitted it within a day and were really tidy. We've already recommended them to a couple of friends!

This company is is simply unbelievable!
The ripped out my ancient open fireplace, dating back from at least 200 years as this house was built in 1690, opened up the space behind and transformed the whole thing into the most incredible Multi Fuel Burner including making good all re-rendering and plastering.
They transformed my living room and probably my life within only 2 days. I wish I could attach pictures, the transformation is outstanding.
Now to the work ethics of the guys.
They turned up on time, covered every inch of my living room with reusable plastic covers and dust sheets - and believe me, it will get dusty - and then just got on with their job, no delays or 1 hour lunch breaks, they were totally committed to the job at hand and didn't stop until my living room was back to exactly the way it was before they started work, of course with my new and shiny Multi-Fuel burner and Hearth.
Once they completed the job they hoovered everywhere and even mopped!
If ever you decide to vamp up your house with a Fuel burner, this gang are definitely the people to go with. We had a quote and only 1 week later everything was finished to an incredible standard.
Like I said, I couldn't be happier.
And for the record: This a fully certified and accredited HETAS company.

We can thoroughly recommend this company. Andrews was only too happy to come out and discuss options with us. There was absolutely no pressure to buy, we ended up ordering a Jotul stove which looks wonderful in the room. Michael and Rob worked hard in removing a Victorian style open fire then opened up the fireplace to make plenty of space for the new stove. Michael is a true professional and with Rob they did a first class job.

I have been looking for a Double-sided (DS) wood burner to replace our existing one which is too large for our needs. My search for a smaller DS stove around the 6kw mark eventually ended with a Parkray Aspect 4 DS. Andrew managed to find the exact one I required.
Without delay after survey I went ahead with Andrew’s help, he managed to get one quickly and it was fitter a few days ago by his guys, doing a great and prompt in installing it.

From Andrew's (Covid Safe) home visit, at which he shared his expertise in helping us choose the right stove (which was not the most expensive option) and fire surround, to his team spending the whole day installing it, we have been mightily impressed by their professionalism, customer service, skill and end product. The stove & surround have transformed our home.

Andrew's prices compared very favourably with his competitors, and the quality of the goods and installation were, in our opinion, superior. So the value for money was exceptional.

There were no "hidden extras" or "last minute problems", resulting in awkward conversations about additional costs: Andrew's team of Rob & Michael did what had been promised in a courteous, professional, skillful manner, as per the quotation.

I cant tell you how thrilled we are with our new stove and fireplace!! We were told by another company that we were unable to have one fitted as our chimney breast had been back filled with vermiculite and cement & we would have to make do with an electric alternative.
Andrew and his team rose to the challenge & didn't disappoint, I have never seen people work so hard to such a high standard for such value for money.

Andrew and his team have fitted a new woodburner going though the wall so it is in our lounge and kitchen. Stuart did a brilliant job knocking the walls through, replastering and fitting the wood burner. He also pointed up the chimney and fitted new pots. He took real pride in what he was doing and made an excellent job of it.

I decided that I wanted a very modern looking long rectangular fireplace that would be built into a false chimney breast with a large television above,
I had a discussion with Andrew who right away put my mind at ease that he could supply exactly what I wanted and at a very reasonable price too.
I found Andrew very easy to work with as I wanted certain things like the chimney breast covered in marble effect tiles which I had picked myself.
Andrew and his team carried out and finished the job both on time and to perfection , I would highly recommend his services and the workmanship of his team.

Since I left my review here and on Facebook, I have been contacted by several of Andrews other customers who have also had very poor experiences with Andrew. We all agree that he is highly arrogant, a liar and, frankly, a nasty piece of work. Interestingly my husband met an ex colleague of Andrews who shares the same view of him.

We hope Andrew is enjoying the proceeds from the cash in hand job he carried out at our home whilst we are still saving to replace the living room carpet that his workers ruined whilst installing the burner. Ruining flooring by not protecting it as promised seems to be a common theme with The Stovesman as one of the people who contacted me had their parquet floor ruined. When they complained he threatened to enter their property to removed the burner (they had paid for and supplied the burner so this would have amounted to theft). We note that, even though Andrew is aware of our ruined carpet he fails to mention this in his response and has never apologised to us for it or offered any restitution. He also fails to mention how he threatened us if I didn't agree to remove the part of my review that states we paid him in cash for the whole job.

This is not the conduct and attitude of a 'professional' which Andrew laughably claims to be. *****

Andrew came out and quoted for removing small fireplace in our ex council bungalow and installing a multi fuel wood burner. He had a second hand burner he needed to pass on and we agreed on a cash price. He sent us an itemized quote which very clearly included the multi fuel kit. The guys who carried out the work were friendly and polite. During installation we were informed that the multi fuel kit would be an extra £150, despite it being clearly itemized on the quote we had received and accepted from Andrew. On the last day of installation, one installer badly cracked the rear fire brick. He apologized and said he would come the next day to remedy. We wantited in all next day but no one turned up and no one contacted us. I contacted Andrew the following Monday to ask what was going on and was fobbed off all day; his responses were offhand, utterly unhelpful and no apology was offered. He left a voice message late that day for my husband alleging that I hadn't given him the `whole story`. Unbeknownst to Andrew I had copied my husband in to all the emails so Andrews efforts to play us off against one another were futile and showed him for what he was, a liar. Appalling attitude from Andrew and would never use The Stovesman again or recommend to others.

We had an excellent service from Andy and his team .
From the survey through to the stove fitting the whole team were punctual, friendly and efficient.
They took great care to create as little mess as possible and the end result is even better than we’d expected.

We had a good experience from the initial enquiry through to the installation. Excellent communication and our installer Mikey, who checked with us at every point to ensure we were happy. (His singing was tuneful too 😉)
Jason couldnt be more helpful and we felt looked after and involved. Very respectful of the social distancing needed in todays climate.
