We went to strays last night for a meal and free jazz night. The food and service were exellent. However the musicians were far to loud. We sat at the far end of the restaurant and couldn't have any sort of conversation while they were playing. I appreciate that we are there to hear the music as well but it's not like a theatre, if people are eating they want to have a conversation with whoever they are with.
We noticed a lot of people just eat and left, which isn't good for business.

Here my honest review of this place if you want to be chilled out not rushed to get ur food then this is the place for you if u can wait 40 minutes for it to come just dont rush to eat it if they become busy you payed for your seat and drinkand food if they want better reviews they need better quality notch chefs and staff fast refills off coffee and teas free if your meals are late dont rush your meal dont let intimidating staff do the plate watch then come and ask if ur ok play their game food rushed is gutts crushed 🤣

I had a really lovely experience with my family. The service was excellent and the staff seemed so happy. The food was delicious, which we enjoyed with a reasonably priced bottle of wine. Coffee lovely and hot. The atmosphere in the new location is so pleasant. Better all round than other far more expensive places in the Newark area. Will definitely visit more often.
