Had to get police involved!

Quoted £900 for a job that I got someone else to do for £25!

Treatened me when I said to just go and don’t bother, wouldn’t leave my house, I have a secret audio recording of it all. VERY predatory.

Scammers! Rippers! Shut this company!

Scammers! We were locked out and called this locksmiths, over the phone I was told it would cost £120. On arrival I was charged £330 to open and change the locks. Few months down the line , the locks keep getting stuck and refusing to open I called them back and they are asking me to pay a further £600 regardless of still been within the warranty period. I wish I looked up the reviews before using their service. Really bad company! and they need to to be stopped before ripping more people off! Take this as your warning.

Absolute scammers

Absolute scammers – avoid at all costs

They are ripping people off like crazy. I mistakenly left the second key inside the door and was quoted £35 on the call, with the promise that someone would arrive within 20 minutes. The locksmith turned up 1 hour and 15 minutes later, then claimed it was 7:30 pm and “out of hours,” charging me £318 for work that took 2 seconds – he simply pulled the key out with a metal bar.

When I questioned how the price could be nearly 10 times more than agreed, a very rude lady called Angela said, “We can’t do anything, it is what it is.” They deliberately avoid having a Google page so people cannot leave reviews exposing their practices.

Please, avoid this company at all costs. I’m escalating this further as their behaviour is unacceptable.

If there was a zero star I would choose…

If there was a zero star I would choose that. They are a complete rip off. They charged us 518 pounds for a job that took about 2 seconds to do. The locksmith saw how tired and distressed we were so he decided to take advantage of that. He went down to his car twice to get tools and then fumbled through his bag for another 10 minutes. Despite sending them emails for ripping us off and trying to get back some compensation, they have completely ignored us. Oh and he gave us an invoice and then decided to take it back!!! He insisted we send a bank transfer immediately before he left our flat like we were about to run away. What a terrible experience . Pls do not use them ever. The lady on the phone quoted us 50 pounds initially by the way.

Also got ripped off bad by these guys…

Also got ripped off bad by these guys over £400 to break my door down due to a mechanism failure. Happened again the next guy charged me £100 and didn’t cause half as much damage as the first guy. I’m looking into fighting this after seeing all ur reviews. All locksmith’s have warned me about these guys it was just too late. I have been onto the ombudsman by bank and soon national trading standards. I wish I could upload pics of the damage they have done. Door can’t be repaired. £1800 for a replacement fuming

Opportunistic sub-contractors who tried to exploit the situation

I had an awful experience with Supreme Locksmiths, they should rename themselves as supreme cheaters. Over the phone I was quoted a flat fee of £49, but when the locksmith arrived at my door he suddenly demanded £400 for the job. When I refused to pay this inflated price, he became aggressive, used threatening language, and swore at me. Despite not carrying out any work, he still insisted on a £49 call-out charge just for turning up. I asked him to leave before I call the police and reminded him that I have not signed any contract so he can do whatever he wants to do.

This behaviour is unprofessional and feels like a clear attempt to scam customers with misleading quotes and intimidation tactics. I strongly advise others to avoid this company.

Too expensive, extremely overcharging

I was charged £906 for an emergency lockout, including £350 just for opening the door and £151 as “extra fees” for intervention on late hour weekend. No clear pricing was given beforehand, and the invoice (No. 77807) was handwritten with minimal detail.

I’ve contacted the company for an explanation or refund and I am waiting for their response.

Be very careful — always ask for a written quote before any work is done.

Do not use this company

They ripped me off and charged me £1000+ for changing my lock. He wouldn't give me a price at first and then took my door handle off and asked me if I wanted him to continue with the job after telling me it's an expensive lock to fix. I told him to finish the job as I didn't want to be left with no door handle on my door. I called the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) the next day and through CAB I'll take action to try and get my money back. I wish I'd known better and not used them. I feel so awful for not knowing they're rogues before I called them out. He seems to have repaired my lock okay but greatly overcharged me for it. He asked me to pay by online bank transfer which my bank declined. I had to ring my bank and persuade them to let me pay the bill as the guy wouldn't leave my home until my payment had gone through to his company's bank account. My bank asked me if the payment was fraudulent but they eventually let me make the payment. I found this very intimidating.

I wrote to the company with my complaint. They haven't replied so as advised by CAB I've written to them again and will take them to court if they don't reply.

Scammers and perverts

Scammers, stay away! They charged over 600 when quoted 59. Then tried to trap me behind my door to intimidate me as a woman. They were definitely taking advantage of women at night.

RIP off do not use this company

I would never use this company again totally ripped off. I visited my very elderly disabled father on a Sunday and when leaving I could not lock his front door. I contacted this company (I googled a local locksmith) however they was not local. When the man turned up the job took him literally 10 minutes to fix (no new parts required). The problem was alignment And this cost £700.80. My dad certainly could not afford this, so I had to pay, I have since talked to another locksmith and they have told me I have completely been ripped off and should contact trading standards. Which I am going to do. I have learnt a few lessons now but at the time I just panicked.

Be warned!

Brazen profiteers, prices absolutely not transparent and made up as they go. Don’t understand why “Emma” writes she contacted these people although she was concerned about the reviews she had seen online. I wish I had checked before!
Called at 6.30pm on a Thursday evening. It took the man over an hour to arrive, not 15 minutes as they advertise. Maybe to justify a higher tariff for the late service?
Asked for three locks on our apartment door to be changed. On the phone we were told it would be 35£ minimum each. Sure the price depends on the single lock. However, when the guy arrived he started listing all the various sums: 85£ call out, 155£ + 89£ + 180£ for the three locks, 160£ labour and 20% VAT on the whole invoice. That’s 802,80£ altogether. We felt ripped off, so we asked him to leave and paid 102£ for the call out plus VAT.
The next morning we decided to have just one lock changed, called another locksmith who charged us no call out and paid a total of 192£ to him including 20% VAT.

Rude and need to learn basic customer service skills

Called up and asked for a quote and for some reason the guy on the phone was so rude. He asked for my address ignoring what I’d asked him. I gave him my postcode as I thought this would help with the quote. He then asked for my door number so I then asked again how much it would cost as I’d already told him what needed doing. He was so rude and hung up. I didn’t bother calling back as this put me off and I went elsewhere. Lucky I did after seeing these reviews sounds like it sums this company up. Probably annoyed that they couldn’t come out and attempt to scam me like they have all these other poor people.

SCAM. Advertised wait times and prices are a LIE

Found myself locked out at 11pm. The woman on the phone told me a locksmith would be with me in 20 minutes. 30 minutes later I called her to ask for an ETA and she said she would get the locksmith to call me. 20 minutes later, still no word, so I called again and the woman again said she would arrange for the locksmith to call me. 10 more minutes pass and the locksmith never called. At this point I had been waiting an hour in the dark with an old dog and a baby in a buggy. I call them AGAIN and tell her to cancel the locksmith as I have absolutely no faith that he is even coming and will be walking to a friends house to spend the night. She begs me not to cancel and is adamant that the locksmith is right around the corner. I tell her I don’t believe a word of it.

Now having read other reviews about how the locksmith that arrives will aggressively force you to pay him £500+ for a job that is quoted as £49 on the phone, I thank my lucky stars that I did cancel before he arrived.

These people think that they can keep you waiting for hours and charge you crazy money because you’re desperate. How cruel to take advantage of people in the middle of the night that only want to put their kids to bed. Shame on this company.

Nasty, unreliable. devious

The lady said - without knowing where we were - that ‘a locksmith will be with you in 20 mins’. The price was £45 for just a call out and she said it could be £150 or more. 40 mins later, I rang again and she said that she will get the locksmith to call me. He did from a mobile and he said he was half an hour away on another job, that she would never have said 20 mins as she wouldn’t know how long his job was taking him. That she just provided an estimate. That he was in the city and depending on traffic he would be there in half an hour as traffic was bad. Given I live in The City, I asked him where so that I could work out myself how long it would take. The City of London has no traffic on a Saturday evening, so I didn’t understand why he was be stuck in traffic. He shouted that I was asking too many questions and put the phone down. So I rang the office number again, expecting the lady, so that I could cancel the job, really didn’t want him turning up, as my husband was out, and I got the horrible locksmith again and he shouted at me and slammed the phone down on me again. So relieved I did not have an aggressive man like that in my home and working on my bedroom door. I think it’s just a couple working from home - just one ‘locksmith’ and his wife. They make out it’s a fleet of locksmiths on their bikes covering all of London - so far for the truth.

Whilst waiting for my review to be published, I’ve read the other reviews on here now, and realise that I dodged a bullet last night by cancelling them!

SCAM.

SCAM.
Was given a "worst case scenario" quote of £548, which was already eye watering, this was meant to be if the guy had to break the lock or the door. After 2 minutes he got the door open with no force or damage, with the first and least intensive method he tried, and suddenly I was being charged £772. Felt too scared not to pay as it is a very intimidating situation to be in especially as a woman living alone, I literally opened Trustpilot on my phone as I was going to pay and saw the terrifying reviews others left so I paid for my own safety.

I am attempting to dispute the costs but I'm not holding my breath. Avoid at all costs. Horrible horrible company.
