Confusing

Got confused when sent an email stating that my insurance had run out and that I would need to get another one which I did and purchased. I then received a email stating that the policy had been suspended.
This turned out to be my previous policy but that was not made clear

We are sorry that the automatic renewal of your policy has caused concern and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify the renewal process.

The policy was set to auto-renew at the time of purchase and this was confirmed within the policy documentation, which also explains how this feature can be switched off at any time.

On the 17th March, prior to renewal, we did reply to your email to state that you can contact us if you did not wish to renew the policy. As no cancellation instruction was received, the policy renewed to ensure there was no gap in cover.

I would be very grateful if you could confirm that insurance is still required.

We can confirm when a policy is due to be automatically renewed, email reminders are sent around 28 days before the renewal date, and again the day before the automatic renewal is due to take place.

These emails provide details of your cover, when the policy is due to be renewed, and the cost of renewal. It also provides details on how to stop the automatic renewal if it is no longer required.

Since you didn't receive these notifications, we suggest checking your junk or spam folders to ensure they aren't being filtered.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused, and a refund will be with you within the next 3-5 working days.

A good experience

The purchase of a new policy was instinctive, very logical and easy, from selecting the coverage I wanted, filling out the necessary forms, selecting the payment options and making the payment. The policy documents are in plain English, not in "Insurance speak". A good experience .

Had a mobility scooter breakdown last week and had to ring Surewise, I can honestly say that the lady on the phone could not have been more help. She asked if I was okay and if I was off the road and had a recovery truck out quickly also kept me well informed about what was going on. Thank you Surewise

I booked insurance on the basis that I…

I booked insurance on the basis that I needed it at storage base as their insurance was very expensive. They then gave me a final quote for the small storage we wanted and it had more than doubled so we did not go ahead with it. However I did not need the insurance and cancelled it within two hours. I could not find a cooling off period to get my money back
