I have spoken to many clinics and companies from all over the UK seeking advice and enquiring about my hair transplant. I can honestly say out of all the people/clinics I have spoken to, Surgery Group are by far the best. I got fantastic advice and honesty from the Dr Ahmad. Every company I have spoken to are only after a customer with money. If your looking into having a transplant contact Surgery Group. Jake’s a great guy, very helpful and gave great advice.

Almost 3 weeks ago I had an FUE transplant with Surgery Group.
The customer service (friendly, prompt and informative) has been excellent from the moment I first contacted them.
The team who carried out the procedure were great and the post-procedure support is also excellent, they don’t leave you on your own. You’re given a dedicated “wingman” to guide you on your journey.
I’d genuinely recommend these guys to anyone considering a hair transplant.

Had my hair done on 24th July by Dr Mani and his excellent staff. Was really a great pleasure. I was nervous. Jake and Dr Mani assured me not to. During the procedure Dr Mani kept me informed of what was happening etc. They all were very careful. Due to my roots being very deep it took more time to extract etc. But finally got the job done. Im happy with the entire procedure. Awaiting results. Price was really sensible as it would have costed me about the same to fly to India for the jab. I wish them all the best.

5 months post op!

I am a 28 year old man from London. I'd used finasteride previously which was effective but started giving me side effects so I stopped and after that my hair started to fall out.
After about 6 months of thinking about it I decided to have a HT and researched the options. I've got to say its very difficult to know who to go for unless you have a recommendation. I talked to a few people and Matthew seemed very genuine and down to earth. He put me in touch with a surgeon (Mani) whose initial consultation was very thorough and impressive. The quote was competitive too so I went for it.

The procedure itself went great. Mani and the staff were very friendly. The only hiccup was the audio book I had chosen to listen to turned out to be super weird - definitely my fault!

The operating theatre itself was good. It wasn't super posh - Mani said he had a posher one on Harley Street but the rent is so much higher the prices have to be too. I for one was very happy not to be paying double for a posh waiting room!

Getting the anaesthetic is a bit painful but after that its fine. Its just a bit uncomfortable being in the same position for hours but the team were great at giving me breaks whenever I asked. Mani was great during the whole thing and got me a nandos for lunch!

I started seeing results from about 4 months. I'm now 5 months in and very happy indeed with the result - and there's more to come!

A big shout out as well to Jake who was on after care. He never took more than a couple of minutes to reply to my messages and was super helpful and reassuring. 5 star service!

I had been considering a hair transplant for 4 years or so, as I am a Norwood 5.

So which Company to choose? This is the hardest thing. Hair transplants have become very common now. My requirements were somewhere local, excellent reviews, established for a few years, certified and with a reputable, recognised doctor.

I set up a few online appointments with different companies, but Surgery Group offered an immediate one-to-one with the surgeon. Dr Ismail. He reviewed my photos and we had a long, very frank conversation about the process. It was very reassuring to speak to the person who would be doing the procedure. This was the one of the biggest decision makers for me. You can do an internet search on him and read about how well respected he is.

Throughout the consultation phase, Jake from Surgery Group answered any questions, often late in the evening too. He has had a hair procedure himself, so again reassuring and knowledgeable.

My procedure was in Bromsgrove, a very clean, new clinic. Dr Ismail spent some time drawing the new hairline, which we adjusted a few times until I was happy. The procedure itself flew by. The first 2/3 hours lying on your stomach having the grafts removed, which was painless after the anaesthetic. Then the second half, a similar duration spent planting the grafts. The technicians were amazing and talked you through every bit to reassure you. Before you leave, you are given after care details and the post surgery medication.

I am now 2.5 weeks post surgery. Jake has been messaging me every day asking for updates and photos. Guiding me through the very important aftercare. The donor area has grown over and is now like normal. My transplant area is thick with the new hairs, but these will fall out soon to make way for the new growth.

I would definitely recommend Surgery Group.

I had an eyebrow transplant 2 weeks ago with Surgery Group and the whole experience so far has been fantastic. After years of trying all sorts from tattoos to microblading, I decided to have a transplant. I did lots of research and Dr Ish and the Surgery Group was the one that I really wanted to go with. From the start speaking to Matthew who answered all my questions and organised everything. Dr Ish and the girls were fantastic carrying out the procedure and the aftercare from Jake has been amazing. I can’t wait to see my eyebrows when they fully come through. 🤩🤩

Surgery Group was the right choice because they repeatedly went the extra mile to help, listen to my concerns and guide me through the whole process such that my whole time through the experience was stress free. Extremely helpful in sorting out all the logistics of getting to and from the clinic, arranging a very professional, yet also very friendly clinic group to carry out the procedure itself and also, aftercare was excellent and I never had to wait long at all for a reply and reassurances to any worries I might have had.

"As someone who had already had one prior hair transplant I felt as though I knew what to expect in terms of going through the initial consultation, payment and the experience of the procedure itself however I am pleased to say that all my expectations were blown out of the water by the high standard of professionalism and friendliness from all the staff involved right from start.

From confirming an appointment onwards, a member of the team was in contact with me almost daily via text - they were polite and friendly and always at hand to provide advice. I never once felt like I was being pushed into anything - I felt valued and was treated as an individual.

This member of staff was fantastic, friendly and a real credit to the team. He made sure that all of my niggling questions were answered and any unsettling nerves were put to rest. I couldn't be more grateful for the support I felt I had from the team leading up to the day of the procedure.

On the day of the surgery, my expectations were exceeded yet again. I arrived on time to meet the surgeon and the technician who were both just as friendly and down to earth as I could have hoped for.

They chatted to me throughout the procedure and made me feel relaxed, comfortable and valued. The hairline I requested was designed by myself and the surgeon together - he wasn't pushy and made sure I was entirely happy with my hairline before we got started.

Post-procedure, the same number of staff who had been supporting me since day 1 was at hand constantly. He made the effort to message me every morning for the first few days - checking I was ok and making sure any worries I had were understood and put at ease. The support from start to finish was fantastic.

As someone who has had the unique experience of having 2 transplants from different surgeries, I think that I am in a credible position to say that this surgery is by far the better of the two and I would wager one of the best around for customer service.

I could not recommend this clinic highly enough to anyone thinking of having a hair transplant. If you are someone that is deciding between clinics, look no further."

I had a FUE hair transplant procedure with Surgery Group just three weeks ago and although I am yet to really see any major results I couldn’t be anymore happier with the procedure, I have a natural visible hairline already with hairs coming through and it has already sky rocketed my confidence through the roof, Matt was amazing with talking through options and providing all the pre surgery information prior to the transplant and there was no pushy sales unlike everywhere else I enquired with. Jake was brilliant with aftercare and the advise I needed for recovery, also the procedure was painless apart from the initial injection which isn’t the end of the world and over in seconds. If you want to seriously boost your confidence and get a hair transplant at minimal cost, I would definitely go with these guys, far more professional and friendly than any of the other companies I came across and obviously a lot more cost effective. I am buzzing to see the final result.

I am just a few days into my recovery following 2500 graft FUE transplant with the Surgery group.My research lead me to contacting Matthew and the team rather nervously ar first! Matthew was so straight forward-no pushy sales rubbish...I was offered a telephone consultation with my surgeon but prefered a face to face meeting which put me completely at ease.I booked a date quite quickly.The cost I believe was very fair and felt quite accessible to an average person.The doctor overseeing my procedure is a neurosurgeon within the NHS,caring highly professional together with a team of excellent technicians.The operation itself isn't much more painful than going to the dentist and I was so relaxed at the end of the implanting stage I was having a snooze! Little tricky sleeping for a few nights and you need to take it easy for a couple of weeks afterwards.

I had my first hair transplant with another company in the UK in 2019 and had a really bad experience and disappointing results. I decided I needed a second hair transplant to improve on the density following my first transplant as it was very thin and I wasn't happy with it. I found the surgery group online and did a lot of research looking at reviews and their social media, etc before contacting them but I'm really glad I did!

Matthew was very helpful and provided me with all the information I needed before the procedure and I got to speak to the surgeon (Dr Ish) before the procedure to make sure I was a suitable candidate and set my mind at rest which was really helpful!

On the day of the surgery, I went to the clinic which was in a really nice modern building, and met Dr. Ish and his team. They were friendly, kind, and professional and put me at ease during the procedure which went really well and it was like night and day when compared to my first experience.

Jake has been really helpful with the aftercare advice and it's been great to have someone you can ask questions to if there's anything you're worried about.

I'm 5 weeks post-procedure now and the healing process has been really easy and the redness etc has already gone which I think is down to Dr. Ish's excellent work and the aftercare advice I received. I'm confident that I'm going to have a good result and will post again with before and after pictures once my results come in!

From start to finish the process was hassle free.
No pushy sales which put me off other places. The information beforehand and after the procedure was excellent and there is always someone there to speak to you. The best selling point for me was being able to speak personally with the Doctor prior to the treatment.
The aftercare has also been excellent.
Having spent quite some time on research, I’m more than happy with my choice.
The procedure itself was conducted professionally, cleanly and in a relaxing atmosphere.

Decided to write this review as It’s really difficult to get reviews from a black female who has undergone a hair transplant. So I will give a very honest review!
It’s over 3 weeks after my transplant and Mathew has been really helpful to date.... I had many questions prior to the transplant and he has not once ignored me.... that’s always a good thing!
Jake took over after care and he has been brilliant as well. Our skin is different and he had to do some research to answer some of my questions and it was always helpful to know my research always tallied with his response.

Day of the surgery:
I was very nervous and the whole thing went quite quick! Anaesthetic is painful! But the rest was good.
My only concern arose when I was told I only had 1600 grafts as opposed to the over 2,000 I paid for and was promised but hey I have a small head and the doctor tried to avoid any stretching due to my skin as scalp was quite tight so no ones fault nonetheless I was a little disappointed.
It is worth noting that when I did speak to Mathew he promised he would not simply abandon me if I was unsatisfied with the result and would look at ways to rectify any concerns... That was an amazing response from him and it does show the “care” that you would never get from very sales oriented people.
Oh and Mathew was quite brilliant and honest about getting me the right team due to my “special” case ( black Afro hair and traction alopecia!)

I have to say when I got my stitches out, the team were quite lovely and a lady held my hand through the taking out process... I remember this so well as possibly the best experience I had during the whole Process to date.

My second best experience was Jakes text to me on day 14. Cheesy as it was (lol) it was very nice and welcome!

My third best was my conversation with the doctor who made the puncture holes. Now I can’t remember if it was dr Ismael or dr Ahmad but it was really nice of him to chat with me despite my nervousness. It was very welcome.

Now a few tips to my fellow black women: 1.research, research research, we alone understand our hair lol! Oh take a headband with you!
2. Speak up, tell the doctor what you want.
3. If you’ve been thinking of this for so long, pick up the phone and speak to someone. Mathew perhaps...lol...
I’m yet to see any results as it’s early in the day but I am confident I will! And hey I still have Mathew
I will continue to update as time progresses!

I had a FUE transplant of 2500 grafts completed by Dr Ish and his team in Bromsgrove. Matt was my contact pre-op and Jake was my contact post-op. I have been fully supported from initial contact to now with no issues whatsoever. Its been 2 weeks since the procedure and my hairline looks to be exactly as I had hoped and I have no reason to believe I won't be happy with the final result once the transplanted hair has shed and regrown. Would definitely recommend surgery group to anyone considering.

I had the second of my two hair transplants with Surgery Group at the end of March, the first one having had over in Hungary. Upon contacting them and confirming my intentions to proceed I was in constant contact with an individual called Matthew who was very responsive and helpful, answering questions and providing pre-op support. Having gone through the process previously I had a good idea of what to do and how it worked but the additional support and timeliness of the responses from Matthew were exceptional, the service provided really is very good. Dr Mani who would be performing the procedure even called me more than once prior to the big day to walk me through things and answer any questions, which I really appreciated.
On the day of the procedure I found Dr Mani and his team to be very welcoming, professional and knowledgeable. They kept things light hearted which was nice as it kept me at ease. They were also incredibly thorough which really impressed me. Dr Mani wasn't happy until he was sure that they had done the best job possible which again was impressive.
After the procedure I was contacted by an after care gentleman called Jake, nice guy and he was on hand anytime for questions and constantly checking in on me, again which was much appreciated.
I would definitely recommend Surgery Group and I do wish I had found them before going to Hungary as I felt that my first procedure would have been more of a success in the capable hands of Dr Mani. I had issues with the doner area where Hair Palace, the company in Hungary, had used too big a punch which has left quite bad scarring and meant that not only did it take longer for my doner area to heal (still having problems 14 days on) but also it meant that Dr Mani could not extract the number of hairs that he had intented to and which was agreed before the procedure. This meant that the hairline had to be adjusted so I won't get as good a result as I should have but I stress that this was not Dr Mani nor Surgery Group's fault.
However, I do have some small negatives. Firstly I'm a matter of fact individual and I found the instructions for aftercare a little wishy washy and differed to that which I had been provided for my first procedure in Hungary, where the aftercare was also exceptional. I also remember how long it took for me to heal last time and the steps I took which again differed slightly to the instructions being provided by Surgery Group in comms with them.
Dr Mani asked me to send him daily pictures directly as he was now my doctor and wouldn't discharge me for the first 12 months but when I started to do this Matthew contacted me and told me not to and to send onto him instead and so with Jake also asking for updates as well I felt as if the communication between themselves should have been better and I was left scratching my head a little.
I also think that it would have been useful to know up front which products other than Aloe would have helped ease the doner area pain/discomfort so that I could prepare better as I had to keep sending my wife out to the pharmacy to pick a different thing up every few days where I needed a little extra help on the doner area. So for those reading this tea tree oil, Cocunut oil and vit E oil were the other things that I used.
Finally, I had less hairs taken from the doner area and implanted than I was quoted a price for initially but this wasn't picked up with me and no refund or discussion was forthcoming, which was slightly disappointing.
Overall a very good experience with Surgery Group although I believe improvements could be made in some areas.

I cannot fault the level of service I received from The Surgery Group for my FUE hair transplant.

My first conversation with Matthew, he was very upfront and honest, which put me at ease right away. Matthew was also very helpful in the days/weeks building up to my surgery, answering any questions I had.

I had my surgery with Dr Ish and his team. Everyone there was very friendly and although it was a long day, they did their best to ensure I was as comfortable as possible.
My procedure started around 11:30am and was finished by 5pm.

After the surgery, I was put in touch with Jake who would be dealing with my aftercare. Again, I had many questions throughout the following weeks, all of which were answered quickly and reassuringly by Jake. Next level service from him!!
I’m now 2 weeks post-op and excited to see my results in the coming months.

I do not have one bad word to say about my experience with The Surgery Group.
It has been first class throughout.

Overall, I am so happy that I found The Surgery Group and I really don’t think you will get this level of service from anywhere else.
