Swift Accounting has changed my business for the better

The team at Swift Accounting have been amazing - being an eCommerce business they set me up on Xero, linked it to my store and now deal with everything for me.

I have always used a more 'traditional' accountant that just does my year end and tax returns but with Swift Accounting, i actually know how my business is doing in the year, with estimated tax liabilities each month so i can better plan for my tax.

Kieran has been the main contact for me and has helped reduce my tax bill by ensuring i am claiming everything i can.

I can whole heartedly recommend Swift Accounting to any business looking for a reliable an pro-active accountant!

Unprofessional, Unreliable and Unresponsive

Warning: Unreliable and Unprofessional Accounting Services

I recently had the unfortunate experience of working with Kieran Stocker from swift accounting and book keeping services, and I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others about the subpar services provided by this individual and firm.

Kieran was entrusted with handling our financial matters, including VAT returns and consolidations. However, what followed was a string of disappointments and unprofessional behavior that left us in a dire situation.

First and foremost, Kieran consistently filed our VAT returns on the very last day of submission, leaving us with no opportunity to rectify any potential errors or discrepancies. This practice not only jeopardized our financial compliance but also displayed a complete lack of concern for our business's financial well-being.

Communication with Kieran was another major issue. Instead of maintaining open and timely communication, he chose to notify us of completed work via email sometimes on the day of submission, without any courtesy of a phone call or a proper handover meeting, which is a legal requirement for accountants to perform for their clients. This abrupt cessation of communication left us in the dark and with outstanding work that we had already paid for.

Despite our previous positive working relationship, Kieran's behavior took a drastic turn for the worse. He failed to respond to numerous emails and phone calls, showing a complete disregard for our urgent inquiries and concerns. This unresponsiveness left us with unfinished financial tasks, putting our business at risk and forcing us to consider filing our latest VAT submission late, which could result in penalties.

I cannot stress enough how disappointing and unprofessional Kieran's conduct has been. I strongly advise anyone seeking reliable and competent accounting services to look elsewhere. My experience with Kieran and swift accounting booking keeping services has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I hope that sharing this review serves as a cautionary tale for those considering their services.

In conclusion, if you value the smooth operation of your tax affairs and expect professionalism from your accountant, I implore you to steer clear of Kieran and swift accounting book keeping services. Their lack of reliability and unprofessionalism can have severe consequences for your business, as my experience sadly illustrates.

I will be contacting the financial ombudsman and ITAW in regards to this. I have all email and text message communication evidence between myself and and this firm

UPDATE: The response below is total fabrication in an attempt to do some damage control and throw some doubt on my review. I provided information to Kieran well in advanced of all deadlines, before we parted ways I called him many times and he just wasn’t answering the calls or told his assistant to say they he was not there. I caught him off guard once or twice on the phone and he would just say he would finish the work that evening. He would then not answer again whilst at the same time disconnecting his HMRC link as our accountant. I only know this because the new accountant I found told me he was removing himself. He asked me if I could remove this review on trust pilot before writing all of these lies. I removed my reviews from his Facebook page and google reviews, but I feel that I should leave it here on trust pilot at least, to warn others. Kieran has no problem in telling lies and stringing you along. You have every right to increase your prices by threefold, but I too have the right to decline the new price. That doesn’t mean you should stop answering phone calls and emails and string me along knowing that you have no intention on completing the VAT submission that you have been paid for before the deadline. That is just unprofessional any way you look at it and others should be warned

Hi Ishmael,

I do not believe this review is entirely accurate and may lead potential clients to mistakenly believe what you have said.

We worked with you for a couple of years regarding your bookkeeping, VAT and Tax Returns, however, we always received the information from you very close to the deadlines.

As you are not our only client, this then meant that the work we completed (albeit within a good time frame from receiving the information) would be close to deadlines.

If you wanted to have your work completed earlier, you should have provided us with the information sooner.

Emails are our primary form of communication with clients and we aim to reply within 48 hours, usually with a same day response.

We always provide our clients with the draft VAT Returns before submitting to HMRC, something we also did with you, which meets requirements by our accounting body, ICAEW.

I would also like to point out that we were severely undercharging you for almost the whole time we had you as a client, and when I informed you we would be increasing our prices to match the services completed, you then left this review.

Overall, the issues you have raised were due to your own actions and is not something we have issues with other clients.

For anyone that reads this review - we have plenty of 5* Google and Facebook reviews showing a true reflection of our work and professionalism.

I would also like to point out that Ishmael removed his Google and Facebook reviews after I discussed the above issues with him, but seems to have forgotten about this one.

In a nut shell - information was provided to us close to deadlines and he did not like us increasing our fees.
