On December 2, 2023, I ordered Swiss Chalet delivery: quarter chicken Festive Special. I received the quarter chicken dinner but none of the "Festive" items. I called Customer Service as soon as the order arrived. It has now been a month and Swiss Chalet refuses to credit my card for the missing items. For a few dollars, they've lost a long-term customer.

Ordered a takeout meal
Ordered a takeout meal. Fries were oversalted and soggy. Chicken was so dry that I threw it away. Sauce tasted like candle wax. I will never order a meal from Swiss Chalet again. And, no, I do not want a coupon with an apology.

The dinner is always excellent. We have been going to Swiss Chalet over 15 years. At the Milner location. We have had the same girl serve us and she is excellent and very pleasant. Thank so much Nikki. Always look forward to seeing you on Friday nights.

Order was placed on November 11, 2023 and it was the worst 2 festive meals we received. Chicken was almost burnt, potatoes were cold. I complained to Customer Service and they claimed they are providing me with a replacement order for free, now they don't want to give me my free order and even if they did, I had to pay for delivery, not sure why I should have to pay for anything. Still fighting with them. Finally a Customer Service that assisted with our issue with the Market Street location in Milton. Thank you Jane for stepping in and providing awesome Customer Service.

Last night was one of the worse experiences at the Hwy 24 Swiss Chalet, the customer in front of me was ordering a Christmas special, it was clearly advertised on the board, he was being told you can’t order that, well after 45 minutes later and multiple people/staff involved his order was complete!I ordered the rotisserie chicken wrap which is normally pretty good! When I got home it looked like someone through it into the box it was a mess! I believe I got the last of the fries in the fryer, they were horrible and I think it’s time to change the fryer oil you can tell by the flavour! Very disappointed customer!!

This is the 2nd bad experience I've had with this restaurant. Not sure why I keep coming back. I ordered from the North Bay, ON location on Algonquin Ave. I ordered the "festive special" HALF-chicken dinner with MASHED POTATOES & gravy. What I received was a barely warm QUARTER-chicken dinner (white meat) with FRIES and NO gravy. Although the bun was included, there was no butter, and to add insult to injury, the alleged 5-piece bag of Lindor chocolates that was gratuitously offered as part of the package was missing. I paid for more than I actually received, so after this ripoff, I was not in a particularly "festive" mood.

Ordered 3 Thanksgiving dinners on October 8th for a 1 pm pickup. When I got there they said I didn't order anything, umm yes I did. Then they looked everywhere for my order, 20 minutes later it was found in a skip the dishes bag. Absolutely disgusted with the we will call it "food" quality. Chicken wasn't even what I ordered, and it was dry. 1 tiny scoop of so called mashed potatoes, 1 tiny scoop of mushy stuffing that was cold. And 3 Halloween size chocolate bars. Will never order from or eat at a Swiss chalet again. So disgusting. I spoke with someone about this, received a complaint number, was told someone would contact me in 2 business days and surprise Nobody contacted me to this day. November 6th 2023

Customer Service needs user friendly streamlining.
The only consistency in delivery is the inconsistency of the order being filled. Two orders were delivered without one soup (bowl) - there should have been two and the baked potato had none of the extras added. Phone lines took half an hour to go through the hopes and the local person, third one I 'spoke' with, told me to press '1' and then I was cut off. The electronics work well with the order taken online and the payment being taken of the credit card posthaste. Personal care in the packing of the order (double checking) needs to take place. This is a repeat performance from this location. Past issues have led to the promise a discount would appear 'automatically' on next transaction. That, also, has never occurred.

This was on my WalMart card and I received a snippy response from WalMart saying the transactions were deemed valid. I am elderly, I did not place these orders. I NEVER PLACE THAT MANY ORDERS. I ONLY EVER ORDER ONCE. I DISCONTINUED SWISS CHALET CONTACTING ME AS A RESULT. THESE BUSINESSES ARE DISGUSTING. THINK ABOUT IT - WALMART, SLOPPY AS THEY COME - THEIR LETTER HAS NO DATE, NO ADDRESS I CAN CONTACT - SO NO WORK FOR THE EMPLOYEE. JUST ZIP OFF A FORM LETTER. THEN SWISS CHALET BENEFITS WITH 5 ORDERS NOT PAID FOR? THE BEHAVIOUR IS SADISTIC AND SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED.
As a former Court Reporter & Clerk in courts in Ontario I would like everyone to know that Small Claims Court handles settlements up to 35K now. It is not that expensive to file the paperwork. In Small Claims you do not need a lawyer, you present the case yourself. Lawyers who want to be judges sit on these courts.
totally disorganized - it was a train wreck!
Ordered food via home phone to pick up. Was given 45 minutes timeframe. Arrived at establishment in 45 minutes. Walked in the back door and there was a huge lineup. Took 20 minutes to reach the front, gave the gentleman my name and he searched all the bags behind him, then ran to kitchen and came back to report I would have to wait another 20 minutes. I waited... after 20 minutes I asked again and order still was not ready. They had over 20 people waiting for their orders. Never seen anything like it so disorganized. They should have had another employee reading aloud the names on the bags.. Manager came out but she was not helpful. This is not my first bad experience and I have applied the 3 strikes you are out rule.

Ordered Thanksgiving specials. Portions extremely small. Small tub of mashed potatoes for two people. One small piece of chicken for each order. Although tasty. Still hungry after meal. Very disappointing.

Take out order, I ordered 1/2 chicken diner,3 1/4 chicken diners. Got 4 1/4 chicken diners. The fries were burnt and hard. All around not a very good experience. This is the 3rd time that my order has been messed up. Will not order out from Swiss CHALET again. At least if you eat in the restaurant , you can send it back.

Complained to door dash and they said they would credit me the money Call Edinburgh store next morning to complain asked for manager and was connected to Denise She said that she would like to offer us a free dinner just call and reference her name So we did that at 450 the next night and they said fine that they we’re sorry for their mistake At 6 pm I returned their call and asked for the manager who said that all we could do was call door dash I explained that is what we did and that Denise offered us a free te order He said that she was not a manager and that we are basically out of luck I explained that they are useless and how frustrating this was So my wife and I for two nights had our dinner messed up and we went to chucks to grab a burger Rude manager poor incompetent and worst experience ever

Swiss Chalet is notorious famous in not filling it as ordered. This has happened to me on repeated occasions. When you complain the staff are nonchalant and don't care a damn.
All they offer is a measly credit and that too only when you place the next order and refuse to credit the same mode of payment.
Unacceptable! Will not recommend Swiss Chalet!
