System 76's selection of hardware is 'right-on' and exceeds expectations. Kudos for that! Everything works as expected. Since I am a long-time Linux user (This is my 5th Sys76 purchase) I was not agha... See more

I love your products and have been using pop os since I was a freshman in highschool, the only down side is that you don't currently ship to APO address's.

I like the product and the website. It worked great. One area i think can improve is while waiting for delivery to provide more updates to the progress of the build or hold up.

Quick turnaround on the order and fast shipping. Well packaged and the system works well with no problems. This is my third order from them over the past few years.

I recently bought a System76 Pangolin 15 laptop. I liked the macbook-esque aesthetics combined with fully linux compatible hardware. However when I received the trackpad was lifted outside of its recess in 2 of the 4 corners, something clearly visible to even the most surface level quality control. Upon contacting customer service they were quick to offer me a replacement laptop in return for the original one they had sent me. This seemed great at first until I inquired about who would cover the cost of customs tax and shipping (I live in the UK). As it turns out system76 have a clause in their warranty which states they will not pay for shipping or customs for warranty replacements being exported from the US, bear in mind that this a warranty that is forced upon you at the point of purchase. Because of this I would be looking at paying roughly 500 GBP in order receive the replacement laptop. And this is the cause of the problem, if you are in the EU and receive a faulty laptop, or wish to RMA one that broke within the course of your warranty you will effectivley have to pay half the original price of the laptop you purchased in order to receive a replacement. This is so annoying as aside from the trackpad the product is great. The screen is good, battery life -although less than what is advertised when using a distro other than Pop-OS- is good and the keyboard is good for a laptop aswell.

i tried to order a replacement battery for my Gazelle 17 inch laptop, purchased in 2020, but the only one listed on the website with a 17 in the name was a different battery. after it arrived it took about 3 months to have this sorted out (i.e., wrong battery returned, new battery ordered and delivered, reimbursement) with multiple emails.
i understand that the customer service department may be understaffed, and am sympathetic to their situation, but as a customer it was not a pleasant experience.

Today I receive my Pangolin Laptop.
The laptop is very good. Pop!OS is pleasant experience, normally I use KDE Plasma, the only think until now is the lack of preinstalled camera application.
The only inconvenient is that the charger is US plug and not the EU Greece. :S
Oh and the delivery department in UPS Greece is absolute disappointing.

I've been using Linux for over 15 years. I got the Adder WS because the hardware works with Ubuntu and I can also go in and upgrade. I've maxed out the memory and storage and I'm very pleased with it. I teach SQL Server database courses at a local college and this laptop lets me record my lectures while I run a Windows VM with SQL Server Management Studio and another VM with SQL on Ubuntu with no problem.

My interactions with System76 have consistently met or exceeded expectations. The ordering process is straightforward, and products are reliably delivered as anticipated. I'm thoroughly satisfied with every aspect of my experience with the company.

The initial Pang I ordered had to be returned twice for maintenance, and was a bit flaky even after the 2nd return. Eric Todd then helped me get a new Pang as a replacement: the new Pang--the replacement--seems to be just fine, working as I expected.
His help was essential.

I needed special assistance with buying for a non-profit without tax. They were efficient, fast, and polite. Hardware is exactly what was advertised.

Been using Linux since 96. All my previous laptops and desktops struggled with Linux due to hardware compatiblilty (Nvidia, Pentium, etc). System76/PopOs seems to have solved the issues I use to have.

Computer had major problems from the beginning and could not get response from support. After almost two weeks I returned it.

I really love my new computer. It was packed well and delivery was very convenient. My only issue was the graphics card. It was not screwed into the housing. This was a minor fix on my end but it would have been more convenient for me if it had been attached correctly.

Firstly, I have a good opinion of System76 as a whole - both in hardware and software (Pop! OS) categories. I liked that the process to order was smooth and fast. However, I did not particularly enjoy the lack of up-to-date tracking while my order was in processing, somewhat to very opaque overall "in progress" state the entire time until all of a sudden it was tested, packed, and shipped at once. I also was not entirely satisfied with how opaque the parts selection was. In particular, I ordered an AMD powered desktop with an AM5 socket, and the only motherboard option presented to me was "with WiFi7 + Bluetooth 5" or not. So, it was rather disappointing to receive the item and find out that the motherboard installed was an ASRock device, which are currently in the news as being the culprit behind a significant number of ruined CPUs and Motherboards due to electrical failures. I understand that the primary market that System76 caters to is not necessarily gamers, however it would be a positive change to indicate that thermal performance may be severely impacted by the mostly solid design of the outer shell, as well as the incomplete forced air cooling system design for the CPU. The cooling system on the device that I received consisted of a single forced air exhaust fan and a rather large cooling fin stack within the cooling shroud, notably a forced air intake fan was not included. I have no doubt that the system was well integrated, and the build quality appeared to be stellar, but due to these concerns I had to return the device out of an abundance of caution before even first power-on.

Recently ordered a Thelio Mira custom. The ordering process was simple but the identity verification process--although understandable--was a bit excessive and required me to go back and forth with the fraud prevention team several times instead of doing everything in one go. Build time and shipping were acceptable. One annoying last note is that System76 lags behind in posting full system specs for their laptops and desktops and the full specs aren't on their main website but are posted on a different site altogether.

Overall experience was good. Ended up returning the product as I didn't need it.
The returns were easy but the return shipping was quoted as $14, but a total of $56 were deducted from the account. Also, there was no email update stating that the refund was provided until I asked them.

The website and experience was great. Only drawback was the code, which I totally understand but I did get concerned if was going to delay things but it didn't as thanks with the support team took care of it.
