I wanted simple!!
The rep came to my business with all the chat,
told me all I wanted to hear to get me to sign up.
I signed up, he told me he would set me up the following week, I had the message to prove it, then nothing... not set up , not gone live , machine never unpacked. After a few weeks I emailed to cancel, sent proof of messages as requested and they refuse to let me cancel!

Very bad company

I paid through this service using 2…

I paid through this service using 2 different cards (one was a new card with only one online transaction) , both cards were compromise and some money were stolen by fraudsters.
Maybe coincidence, but I don't believe in such coincidence.

I would agree with all the previous 1 star reviews.
I have just come off the phone having had a very unhelpful conversation with 'William'.
The initial mistake of signing me up to Evo instead of Elavon was made by Take Payments, they refused to correcting this without raising the rates. Will never recommend!!!

I strongly advise any business owner to stay far away from Take Payments. My experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing.

They trick customers into contracts without making the terms clear, and once you’re in, it’s almost impossible to get out. Their sales team only cares about closing deals, not about what’s best for your business.

The customer support is poor and unhelpful — they rarely listen, constantly pass you around departments, and never take responsibility. To make things worse, they bill you unnecessarily, delay releasing your own money, and completely ignore your concerns.

In short: they damage your business, not support it. Run from them while you can — there are far more honest and transparent payment providers out there.

Avoid at all costs

Arranged contract over the phone for ease

Terminal does not work in my where I work. Unable to connect to WiFi or 4G
Therefore unable to use terminal

Contacted help desk and this was unable to be resolved after multiple attempts

Unfortunately I have been told there is no cooling off period therefore I am tied in with this company for 12 months

When calling customer services - advisors are extremely intimidating.

DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY

Disgusted

When they tell you that it's next day payments make sure you ask about weekends as Friday Saturday and Sunday don't hit the bank until Monday tried to make it workout it doesn't for my business. Just spoke to them about cancelling this only to be told I have no right to cancel only been with them 14 days. Totally disgusted with them.

A totally negative experience

A totally negative experience. I was misled by their salesperson in several respects, and once he had made the sale he ignored my messages.
The card machine did not work and caused me embarassment with my customer who had to draw a large sum in cash from his bank after both his Amex and Visa failed to connect to the bank.
I have cancelled the direct debit and asked for the address to return the card machine but no address has been supplied.
Although I cancelled within 20 days of the contract with the above reasons they have said that I will be invoiced for their minimum period of 18 months.

UK worst company

UK worst company, I don't know how they are still operating. They only want to take money from you as a customer, I called, emailed and try to explain my situation thousands of times, not even one of their staff members able to help me with anything, not even that, they are rude and arrogant and they don't even know what they are doing in there. Stay away from this awful company, they will send an agent to your door without you even agree with that, in my case I was only looking for quotes and next day I woke up with one Indian guy from Takepayments at 9am at my door almost pushing me to sign with them. Very unprofessional, only in there for the money
y, using your details without you even signing a contract with them, be aware and don't give any of your information.
I can't rate my experience with 0 unfortunately but this is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life, I hope they will shut soon, taking advantage of people is not the way to run a company.

Don't go near them get you to sign up over phone which i done i had 3 machines 2 for one company and 1 for another the 2 machines which I never used for last 4 month of my contract and they called to renew contract even though they new i hadn't even used them i thought I was renewing the 1 card machine when I realised I call back next day and was told I had signed up for another year pure con
