Beware of this company they are not to…

Beware of this company they are not to be trusted. I bought the filtered module when they first launched. Then it became faulty and was replaced quickly, but still has the occasional problem.
Then they changed the original intended design and said they were combining the chilled and filtered units and when I looked at the new dimensions this was a potential install problem for me space wise. I raised this with them and they were apologetic and offered me the opportunity to be on the beta testing program for the unit. So I decided it would be worth a try. They then basically gibbed me off for months with the promise that the beta testing would be starting imminently but it the unit never arrived. Then after multiple emails they let the cat out of the bag that they’d done a round of beta testing in an email. I pressed them further and the time between emails got longer and longer and I’ve now received and email saying they can’t get access to funding and have ceased trading. Very dishonest and sneaky from my perspective. Oddly there website is still active though which is odd in these circumstances. Now I’m basically stuck with a filter unit and no option to expand to the other modules I wanted to purchase.

I feel the same as the person before…

I feel the same as the person before me. I bought the filter water module and have been trying to get hold of them for weeks to no avail. I have just asked on Instagram if they have gone bankrupt?
No communication from them at all for months.
A bit worrying as I want the hot water module.
Anyone have any idea what is going on as there is no number to call. I will check Companies House to see if the are still trading.

A Mixed Bag

Pros:

Easy Installation: The setup process was straightforward and didn't require any special tools.
Intuitive Controls: The app interface is user-friendly, making it easy to adjust settings and control the tap.
Responsive Customer Service (Past Experience): When I encountered issues with the controller in the past, customer service was prompt to assist and even sent a replacement.
Cons:

Recent Lack of Response: I've reached out to customer service in the past few weeks without receiving a response. This is concerning.
App Availability: The app's unavailability on the App Store raises questions about the company's continued operations.
Overall:

While my past experience with Noa Tap was positive, the recent lack of communication and the app's removal from the App Store are cause for concern. If these issues are resolved, Noa Tap could be a solid choice for those seeking a convenient and easy-to-use smart tap. However, potential buyers should be aware of these current limitations.

Quite a few problems unfortunately - hope they sort them out

We have had a number of problems since buying this. Like others we agree it's an amazing concept and had high hopes, however they should have delayed launching as there are many teething issues which should have been solved before it went on sale and got bad reviews:
- our first controller got water damage and had to be replaced (even though it's meant to be waterproof and sits on the side of your sink so can't be avoided!). It was replaced quickly by NOA (their customer service is good at least) however it is a bit flimsy and I agree with someone else, it needs to be able to be fixed to something.
- It works most of the time but sometimes randomly doesn't do anything when you press or just a light on the other side spins. There's a knack to pressing it correctly it which is fine if you use it every day. Not ideal for guests to use.
- like Lucas Johnston (I was very happy to read his review as I thought it was my tap which was faulty), it is interfering with my mixer tap causing it to either be cold or scolding hot, no in-between. Reading the response to his review it appears there's a fix coming out but this hasn't been communicated at all. Please can you inform me about it? I hope it works
- The other modules have changed in size which isn't ideal but we can accommodate them luckily, but were meant to be coming out in the summer...now I'm told there's a delay until the end of the year. I would not have bought this if I'd known that at the beginning but I'm all in now and have to wait.
I really hope they find solutions to these early problems otherwise I've made a very expensive mistake :-(

Fantastic Water Filter – No More Bottled Water!

I am totally in love with the Noa filter. I just received my Noa in Lisbon, and it was super easy to install. There is no taste at all, which I had experienced with previous filters. Our tap water tastes really good now. No need to buy bottled water anymore! I can't wait to get the other modules.

A really exciting next gen water filter. Was stoked to get rid of the filter jug and get filtered water straight from the tap. Feel the industry was due a shake up.

Save your time – the product isn't ready...

When Noa is working correctly, it'll break your mixer tap's functionality: cold water will only run when you are primarily requesting cold water from your tap, so setting your tap to lukewarm results in scalding hot water. This was confirmed as much by the COO in an email, and it's such a poor design decision. Worse still, most of the time the Noa unit doesn't even work properly. Whenever Noa has any kind of networking issue, it completely blocks off your water supply, so you have no way to access your tap without getting under the sink and flipping the switch to turn off the whole unit. Again, I have no idea why anybody would think that's a sensible idea – especially when the Wi-Fi connection doesn't even do anything! Noa is a great idea, and I'm sure it'll be a great experience if you never run into a fault, but you'll end up wasting hours of your time if you do. Bear in mind this is an early start-up, so I doubt my unit will be the only one with faults. I was excited but ended up spending hours under my sink turning Noa off and on again, resetting the unit, relinking it with the controller, etc before my partner practically begged me to uninstall it. It's such a shame. I hope the team rethinks some of these choices, but for now, I really wouldn't recommend buying.

Hi Lucas,

We apologise for the issues you've encountered with the Filtered Module and the frustration they have caused. Our goal is to provide a seamless customer experience, which clearly was not met in your case.

Regarding the compatibility with mixer taps, please be assured that Noa is designed to work with them without hindering functionality. Noa connects directly to your cold water supply, meaning you can still mix hot and cold water to achieve the desired temperature for tasks like washing up. Unfortunately, you encountered a rare issue where a pressure sensor did not activate due to a software bug - this seems to happen with particular combinations of taps and inlet water pressures. We have identified a fix for this and will be deploying an over-the-air (OTA) update shortly to resolve it.

We also acknowledge the problem with the Wi-Fi connection, which affects a small fraction of our users. A software update to fix this issue is also on its way.

We appreciate your feedback and are truly sorry for any inconvenience these problems have caused. Our team is actively working to resolve these issues promptly. Thank you for your feedback.

Warm regards,

The Noa Team

A Mixed Bag

The Noa filter tap is a mixed bag. The filter housing itself is nice a small and will fit in a tight space whilst the install is easy enough - all the tools you need are provided, along with clear instructions. It works with our existing tap very well and the controller is fine, although it has disconnected a few times already and it would be nice to be able to mount it as it likes to move around a lot because it’s so light. The filter itself did not do a good job for us, in a hard, heavily chlorinated area as the taste barely changed. There are plenty of aftermarket filters that will do the job though, and for a lot less money then the one offered by Noa. The main issue is the product is unfinished. There is no analytics or Alexa integration despite being advertised on the site and the original 4 module design for sparkling/chilled/boiling has just been completing overhauled making the future additions useless for us as the new design is massive (basically the same as the competition) and won’t fit the space we have, so feel we have been misled on the concept. Noa have been fairly swift to address concerns, but have offered no solutions to problems.

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience with the filtered module. Please be assured that our filter cartridges are designed to reduce chlorine and improve taste in hard water areas.

With regards to the analytics and Alexa integration, these are planned for release after we have released the Chilled and Sparkling, and Boiling Modules later this year.

As you say, the chilled and sparkling have been combined into one module for performance reasons. This update guarantees a far superior tasting experience for sparkling water which carbonates and tastes a lot better when cold.

We appreciate your feedback and We're sorry again that it didn’t live up to your expectations.

Warm regards,
