I have used taxbit quite a bit this last year. Their response time is generally speaking very fast for most issues. Several issues required more attention and sadly took months/weeks too resolve.

The software that taxbit offers is definetly inferior to competitors.
It doesn't match incoming/outgoing transfers. Syncs regularly failed.
Going through all your transactions can be very frustrating because the software can be slow.

Little to no tax support for people outside of the United States.

I would not recommend them to anyone that lives outside the U.S.

Have not been able to sync gate.io. No help from chat and no response from support. I expect this from a free service but not Taxbit.

I paid for their services with a credit card. My credit card company initially thought this was a fraudulent buy and notified me and the payment was denied. I contacted my credit card company and tax bit and the problem was resolved in a short period of time. The tax bit people reached out to me in a timely matter to let me know that the payment was received. I was very happy with their customer service and I'm very satisfied with the product.

I tried to use their trial and they charged me when I pressed switch to plus account for free....After chatting with them for 3 days (getting 1 answer within more than 30 hours they still didn't refund me back my money as I wasn't willing to pay and just wanted to try the trial and see if balances appear accuretaly in their platform. On their answer they tried to convince me that I need their service cause IRS will come after me (while I am not a US citizen nor I have a company at US). Moving into the weekend without an answer for refund. Maybe IRS and some Lawyers needs to come after you and not after me ....

Although I wish there was more transparency regarding the escalation team's progress, I can't complain about the overall experience I've had with TaxBit so far.
Unfortunately, they do not accept phone calls, which I feel would solve issues faster in most cases, but you can still text chat with their customer service agents on the website, and they're usually very helpful and will do their best to diagnose and solve your problems. The software is constantly being updated with new features and is pretty robust overall.

I was having so many issues dealing with other software when I heard about this company and the cool feature they have to help you offset gains and losses. The few that I spoke with at TaxBit we’re extremely helpful getting my stuff together and in answering all my question that I had, and there were a bunch of questions I had. They also were very helpful in getting my csv files formatted so that I could upload them. I would give 5 stars if only there was an easier way to upload csv files and if the api would work better and with more of the wallets and exchanges that are out there. I know it’s still very early in the crypto world so no one can expect that much since there are new tokens and exchanges popping up all the time. I just hope in near future we get closer and closer to what we need to make it everything work together much easier.

At first glance, I had taken a liking to the TaxBit platform. I had used trial versions of 4-5 other services, to compare the general feel and functionality... and TaxBit's UI was personally my favorite. It's sleek, colorful, and displays all the information I want to see in a clear and concise way. In addition to that... you can't beat the price... at almost half of what some other crypto tax services are charging for the same features. Love it.

Now, unfortunately... to be transparent, I had some issues creating my account. This was a rare thing, which none of my other peers that use TaxBit have ever encountered, so I do not fault them for this in any amount. If time had been a factor in this situation, where a tax deadline was approaching, this technical error could have cost them a future customer, but fortunately they were able to fix it quickly and completely. Their customer service was impeccable. They offer a live chat feature, which I find will put many consumers at ease, having near-instant access to help without a phone call. Beyond that, they promptly replied to all of my emails within a couple of hours. At the end, their tech support even credited my account for the inconvenience. Couldn't ask for better handling of the situation. 10/10

Lastly, given this being my first time preparing crypto tax documents, I was having a little trouble converting/importing some of the CSV files that were given to me by the brokers/exchanges I had used. Once again, not only did TaxBit promptly reply to my support question... they offered for me to send them the file and they would prepare/import it for me! That is 5 star material all day. Saved me much time and headache.

I would recommend TaxBit to everyone, at any experience level.

Ive been using TaxBit for awhile now and am very happy with their service. Being an older woman in my 70's has lead me to technical challenges that I could not resolve. TaxBit Support was there for me at every step of the way. I recommended them highly as a business professional myself. This is a customer caring company....

Still not able to connect Gate.Io and Kraken exchange!

Update 2: I've amended to 3 stars. If I didn't need NFT transaction support then it would be 4 stars.

Bottom line: If you don't have any NFT transactions then I highly recommend TaxBit but the service is not useable if you do have any substantial amount of NFT transactions

A little about me: US based active crypto trader (over 5000 transactions this year) and roughly 500-700 NFT transactions in 2020-2021. I've found it hard to find a tax site that allows me to tell "the entire story" correctly and was initially very optimistic about TaxBit. I've used 7 different tax sites as of 12/14/2021 and I'm still trying to find one that works in order to amend my 2020 tax return.

The good about TaxBit:
-Customer Support is active and fairly quick to respond and friendly
-The APIs work well, their transaction update (sync) functionality is great, and they have the most API integrations of any site I've used.
-They are probably the only site I've used that actually gets BlockFi transactions correct (which makes sense because they have a partnership with BlockFi)

The bad:
-No NFT integration

I think at one point they did allow for manual NFT imports and they did tell me they were possible when I first signed up but after constructing an NFT CSV with all of my transactions they informed me that they no longer were supporting NFT CSVs. After an email with customer service management I was able to get a refund.

Service was quick and representative was pleasant and helpful. Our questions were answered and we were able to complete our online service. Thank you!

I found TAXbit while reviewing the partners my primary exchange chose to make available to their clients. That gave me the confidence to give TAXbit a try for helping me manage the burden all Crypto investors face - taxes. I use seven exchanges.

As much as I trade and/or invest in crypto I can not imagine trying to keep up with all the data required by IRS to be filed. The time and expense involved would be more than I have to spend. This burden will only increase as the world begins to accept crypto as the future of finance as a reality.

I am so glad I chose TAXbit for many reasons:

* Manual data entry/adjustments if needed

Not seamless yet, but getting there.

It turns out all my worries were unfounded. When my accountant said I needed to get her a special form, I was panicked. I had no idea how to get it prepared. She suggested two different options, and after doing some research, I got TaxBit. I'm SO glad I did. The form was so easy to find. Then I uploaded my information and voila! SO easy. Their customer service was great too.

The TaxBit app is extremely convenient and easy to set up. It’s so great to have one place to track crypto accounts. Everything from cost basis to unrealised profits to taxable gains are there at a click of the mouse. Highly recommend this product.
