The worst company ever! I did a free trial and then was automatically enrolled in multiple states that I have no Nexus in. They used an old account on file that was closed
so I was charged 100.00 for not having a current account. Plus 29.00 from my bank. I never got any notifications this was all because I installed the plug in. I’m familiar with trials, the plug in will tell you your trial is over and you can uninstall the plug in, this is not the case at all with this company. So months later when I get a sale, I’m charged 30.00 for one transaction. Scammers. They don’t keep track if you actually need to pay taxes in the states then register you for 23 states that you do NOT need to pay taxes. I now have to cancel sales tax licenses in all these states that I don’t need to pay taxes in the first place. What a nightmare! Also I canceled Feb and then I go on the sight and my account was reactivated. Watch OUT!

Edit 5 - btw your reply shows exactly how disrespectful and deceptive you and this system is. I was automatically enrolled in this 23 state sales tax and my cancellation was reinstated and if I didn’t check back it would not have been canceled. That is shady and why I keep updating this review because it’s ongoing. Good luck to you and your business plan as well.

I don’t even know where to start. I started my online business August 30, 2020. I got a letter from the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration. The letter basically stated that I was late on my paying my taxes and if I didn’t do it within 2 weeks the were going to suspend my seller permit. Well needless to say this letter sent me in a downward spiral. I had never processed sales tax before, ever. I was one of those people that worked all my life and filed my W2 ever year for 37 years without a problem. The thought of this sales tax process made me sick. The more I investigated the process the more it made me sick. For three days I would ask different people in my family and or friends and every time I spoke about it, it got incredibly quiet. It was not until my IT guy told me to just call Tax Cloud. They have a customer service line, and you are paying for a service maybe they can help you? And I did. That is when I first met Franchesca! OMG, not even knowing I hit the jackpot!! I told her I was so overwhelmed with the whole process and I didn’t even know where to start and if she could please guide or help me in some way…
Little did I know where this journey of a phone call would take me. When I called, I’ll be honest I was scared, sad, but somewhat optimistic. Then when we started talking, I noticed the calmness in her voice. It set the tone for the first part of our conversation. She started to explain the process to me, and I completely lost it on the phone (I feel bad now) it was so overwhelming and there was so much I didn’t understand I just told her I was going to close my business that this was not worth all this stress!!! With a complete calmness she told me that things will be ok and that she would walk me through every step. I’m thinking this girl is crazy I am not going to be able to do this… Then she started to explain about the threshold of each state and what it meant and how that would help a small business like mine. At first it didn’t click, it was all too confusing, but she kept explaining in different ways and reassuring me it was going to be ok!! then it clicked!!! OMG I felt this peace fall upon me. I even questioned; I don’t have to do all states?? At least not right now?? I’m laughing as I type this because I had myself so over the cliff…
What she explained to me is that Tax Cloud would provide all the information I needed to do my taxes. Everything I need, will be on a report and she was right. Its absolutely amazing. All the county and city information right in my hands!!! I’m so glad I chose Tax Cloud!!
Right now, I feel like I can keep typing forever. The gratitude I have is overwhelming! Not only did Franchesca explain the process step by step, she made sure I understood it. She took the time over the next two weeks working with me. Talking with me on the phone, with video chat, and through email. I told her how thankful I was and how amazing she has been. Her calmness, dedication and knowledge were exactly what I needed. Today I filed and paid my third quarter taxes!! I would not have been able to do so without the sincere dedication of Franchesca!
Franchesca, thank you! Thank you for taking the time with someone like me. You helped me. You showed me and educated me on this whole process and for that I am forever grateful. I will never forget what you did for me.

Excellent product, adding into our ERP, Odoo, and it's been working great. Nothing else to say as long as that keeps up, and we are 8 months in now.

until I found out about tax Cloud I was worried and how I was going to get all my taxes organized and done for the year. they're awesome budget level package gives you everything you need. they also call and check up on you to make sure you're comfortable and everything's okay with your account. and I have no doubts that taxes will go smooth this year for me and my business

Income Reports are confusing because the income amount finalizing late in ta month. I'm facing the problem to get the correct income before filing state tax returns.

I feel like this business is run by people who have no idea what they are doing. Their customer service is terrible. I pointed out a serious security breach to them a year ago that still exists. They charge hidden fees and you cannot get any sort of report on how the fees were generated. They make processing returns an arduous process (you have to upload a spreadsheet, and months later it says 0 lines imported - so you have no way of knowing if you were credited for the returns). The website was clearly created by someone with zero data entry experience. It is unwieldy to use. I also get inconsistent tax rates for the same address when using the manual tax calculator. They incorrectly report tax exempt sales in the same total as amounts that are not subject to tax (for example, shipping in some states). If we were to get audited, this could lead to fines.
We only use this company because it is currently the only one that works with our shopping cart. If I could find another, more professional company, I would change in a heartbeat.

I have contacted them multiple times about an incorrect tax they have that is not calculating the correct tax at our store. They don’t seem to care or listen and just keep saying I’m wrong. I even sent links and documents to show it’s a different rate. Whatever!

TaxCloud's customer service has come a long way. They're not just another huge company where I'm a number. I like the personal touch and fair pricing.

Excellent and prompt customer service is available when and if the tax cloud service is down for some reason. The recovery time was also very short leading to minimal business impact. The system came already set up with Odoo and was very straightforward to use. We have been using taxcloud for the past 2+ years and are satisfied with the service we have received

We currently are in test mode and every month i have to restate this or TaxCloud automatically stops updating and we have to call and wait. If we are in test mode we need to stay in test mode until we change it to live. Period.

I have enjoyed working with the taxcloud team. I find them very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. One thing we need them to get straightened out are the payment of 2018 sales taxes. and we need to see why our liability is accruing at a different rate than their calculations.
