Easy, I don't have to do any taxes

Began to charge without active notice . Ridiculously priced for service level

The best way of collecting taxes for a small business.

I got tax cloud to try as a trial. I did not like it and canceled however they keep trying to charge me. I have tried to log in to cancel again but the website just sits loading and never takes me to the correct page. I contacted customer service and they were not any help.

TaxCloud makes the sales tax process easy! It not only calculates the sales tax, but also pays it to the appropriate states. My only grumble is that not all states use it yet, so if your nexus is in one of the non-user states, you have to still send in the collected taxes yourself. Hopefully soon all states will be using this great service!

Terrible dashboard from the 1990s and subpar support. I regret the day I created an account at Taxcloud and will move to another service asap.

Great service and value. Helped us slay the multi-state sales tax dragon in a matter of months in 2018/2019 for both streamlined and non-streamlined states. Happy to recommend!

TaxCloud works as it should. Once you setup everything, they will take care of the rest!

Good for the most part. Sometimes if the api can't connect with the servers, the tax rate is missed and doesn't collect correctly. Or occasionally the tax rate is wrong. For the most part the system works. I wish there was a better way to integrate in refunds or partial refunds. Seems those are still a manual process for us....

One of our sites just doesn't work right. TaxCloud has us send a list of transactions the website has captured and they process it at the end of the month. The other site works ok now, but it took a while to get going. We had a "special need" earlier this year and TaxCloud worked on it - and somehow ended up registering us with a variety of state sales tax offices using one of customer's addresses!

Awful company!! Awful service!! Their technology doesn’t work and created a nightmare for our company with tax reporting.

Considering how complicated collecting the correct tax on the state and city level is, they make it simple to pay tax for any city/state in the USA. I could never imagine figuring all this tax stuff out after the fact by myself. TaxCloud makes it happen in real time through our web store plug-in and I just enjoy shipping products to far off states and calculating profits. :-)

We've been working with TaxCloud for almost a year and we are not satisfied. Their reports are terrible, they were supposed to make our job of filing sales tax easier but they actually make it more complicated. We need to file tax on 19 States, and this is a nightmare every month. The reports they provide have the wrong data and are difficult to read and understand. If it wasn't for our own reports we would be filing it all wrong. They acknowledged the problem but don't do anything about it or even reply to our e-mails anymore.

TaxCloud is a tremendous value. With increased business levels TaxCloud scales seemlesslesly with my business needs. I am still amazed that I was able to create an account and start using TaxCloud without costly nexus and start up fees required by their competitors. Even more impressive was autonomously creating, enabling the APIs and launching my TaxCloud account in less than 20 minutes. In my opinion TaxCloud is the only business friendly scalable sales tax processor priced correctly in the market. Furthermore, after a bit of dilegence I believe TaxCloud to have the most accurate sales tax tables. They back it up by including audit defence and indemnification.

The online Chat has been very helpful. It a bit unclear at first how it all works but it's FREE. I haven't applied for the non-SST states yet but it seems that won't be so straight forward for Taxcloud and some other companies too. Essentially you have to apply and it up to their discretion to allow auto filling. I was supposed to receive a setup call but it never happened. The online chat help has been very helpful, though! I haven't tried the help number. Other tax services have better customer service (as in they pursue to help you more rather than wait to be asked for help) but I expected as much from a free service. If you only require SST service it's a great option for companies just starting out. If the non SST sales tax services cost end up equal or more than their competitor ( If they start charging per filing like others) I would probably consider another service... But they look to be the cheapest option so far.

We started using TaxCloud several years ago because it easily integrated with WooCommerce. It worked great at first - the tax rates always calculated correctly. Our only issue at that time was poor service from TaxCloud Support. When a customer enters their tax exemption information, TaxCloud obscures the customer's tax id from us. We need this information to be able to file so we always have to go back to the customers to get their tax exemption forms since the information provided through TaxCloud is useless. Many times we opened support tickets with TaxCloud and were promised they would fix the issue. But they would just close the support ticket with no resolution. At least 3 times we were promised they would fix it and then they closed our tickets.

Even so we continued to use the service because it was integrated with our website and was calculating the rates correctly. However over time the service has become extremely unreliable. It seems as though they are not staying on top of tax rate changes and more and more often we are finding that the amount of tax they collected was not correct. It is causing an accounting nightmare and we are currently trying to find another solution.

Three years ago we would have recommended this service. Now I would absolutely recommend NOT it.

**9/25/2020 - The company reached out to me after I left this review and we had a call to talk through the issues we have had. So far they seem very sincere about addressing these issues. I will post another update if anything changes.
