CAVEAT EMPTOR IF YOU BUY A CD FROM TD AND YOU HAVE FUNDS AVAILABLE SONETIMES THE CD’S TAKE A MONTH TO SETTLE AND IF YOU DO NOTHING YOU EARN .035% , WHEREAS IF YOU CALL AND TELL THEM TO PUT YOUR FUNDS IN A MONEY MARKET FUND THESE DAYS YOU CAN GET 5.00%. YOU GET RIPPED OFF AND THEY EARN MILLIONS ON THE COLLECTIVE FLOAT. THEY USED TO SWEEP YOUR FUNDS BUT NOT ANYMORE .

Last straw with being locked out of my Ira. Fee of $75 to transfer. Listen to how I find out--they shut it off again, as it that was a natural occurrence of closing an account. The rep "turns it on temporarily"--again was told it was closed and should have been electronically transferred --why hasn't it? This is a dirty company that won't quit. Try the NASD, I'll have to--

I called TD Ameritrade customer service…

I called TD Ameritrade customer service to ask questions. However, their representative's attitude was terrible. He was extremely impatient and cut me off from asking more questions. He was causing new annoyance to a client who had questions. In the end, my questions were not answered, and on the contrary, I was very upset and angry by his attitude. A representative shouldn’t have such a bad attitude toward a client--he didn't have a right to do that! Who gave him the right to a bad attitude toward a client and their concern? Isn't it ironic their slogan"Your concerns are important to us"? But their representative was the exact opposite of it! Horrible. Don't expect your concern to be important to them.

Poor Customer Support

Weekend TD ameritrade customer service is typically poor and sometimes confrontational when they don't have answers. Today, while computer systems are under weekend maintenance (previous online work preparing for the week has been lost while "under maintenance"), customer support has no clue as to system availability and one was seemingly angry I had an issue. If a customer is frustrated by their lack of information further asking for an update may result in being insulted and/or having the phone hung up on.

Needs

The place in question serves as a dump. They have completely incompetent support staff. Unaware of the seriousness of the matter, they just disabled my profile using the funds. It's not something I would suggest to anyone.

TD Ameritrade is a terribly irresponsible company

It’s a terribly irresponsible company. Drop clients at a whim. For those who bothered to stay with them, the whole account transfer process is a nightmare that goes on and on. Emails are not answered, calls are dropped after waiting for more than an hour.

Pls if anyone is not using them, do yourself a favor and never come close to this horrible company.

Very bad customer support and is rude. Did not solved any of my issue regarding the app, and just tell me it is what it is. When i retaliated back, it just closed my conversation. If i can, i will close my account.

nico fiume is a complete waste of time Seven days later no response from emails, texts,in person, and massages. The staff is unprofessional at the boca raton branch and rude. Dont waste your time . There are other no fee institutions with better customer service.

TDAmeritrade Won't Give Us Our Money

My mother passed away in March 2023. Five months later, TDAmeritrade is keeping her funds & will not give it to her named beneficiaries.

On 5/18/23, I contacted TDAI to submit the paperwork & death certificate needed to start the inheritance claim. The auto reply stated they would get back to me with further instructions within 5 days. They never did get back to me. On 7/7/23 I started calling every day only to get excuses, runaround, & lies from 31 agents; Luis & Martin twice each. I conference call with my financial advisor & solo every day for the past 5 weeks. I have made 35 phone calls totaling 455 minutes to date.

TDAI never contacts me about whatever problems are preventing them from opening an account for me & dispersing the estate, but every time I call they find a new NIGO that is holding everything up. They cannot accept the electronic signatures, the docusigned Form 9017, or the ink signed 9017 emailed to the estates team, nor can they accept the 9017 that my financial advisor uploaded in the secure portal. Their last excuse was that the 9017 that they gave me was an out of date revision. So they sent me an identical 9017 with the new revision date on it, but that hasn't opened my account yet either.

The masterpiece of customer disservice however, is that someone in Estates has put a note in my file that this whole matter needs to be handled by Institutional, while someone in Institutional has put a note in my file that all of this is to be handled by Estates. So no matter who I call, they tell me that it's supposed to be handled by the other department. If they did not conspire on that, there are two criminal geniuses at TD Ameritrade finding ways to frustrate, annoy, and rob their clients. Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice.

Hey, TDAmeritrade: open my account and fund it from my mom's estate. This should have been a one call transaction months ago, not my endless part time job.

My balance was incorrect yesterday and i called them to find out what was going on, then they said they have been experiencing a technical issue and don't know when they going to fix it. The person I talked to was very rude and behaved like he owns TD Ameritrade. And also he kept saying if I was you, I would do this and that. when i opened my app today my yesterday gains were gone. I called them again, then this new agent said another different values which my yesterday gains all gone. No one is accountable for what happened from their end. I am not the one who made the mistake here but they convincing me to believe their numbers today which was messed up 24 hours ago. I tried to make a complain but they put me on hold forever. SAD

I did not choose TD Ameritrade

I did not choose TD Ameritrade. They purchased the ThinkorSwim trading platform and I am stuck with them, until Chas Schwab takes over. Ever-changing trade reporting, errors and incompetent service supervisors. As a CPA I sometimes have to contact TDA on behalf of a client with a general, non-client specific, question and they hide behind security concerns because they do not know the answer for something they have already done incorrectly, to the detriment of my clients.
