Teachable is a safe choice! The platform is user-friendly, intuitive, and provides all the tools you need to grow and scale your business. The customer support is excellent, and since I’ve been hosting my courses here, they’ve always responded to my requests within a few hours. Very happy with my choice!

I've used teachable for 10 years, but their new AI chat support and AI email support means no response or help for many days; I had a pretty big issue - which did get resolved, but I had to reach out through their active marketing funnels instead of their actual customer support to get a human.

I cancelled my membership and still getting charged. I cant get ahold of anyone either.

Due to my careless understanding, I overlooked the details of the contract. As a result, Teachable automatically charged the payment, which unfortunately caused a serious disagreement in my family. However, Teachable kindly refunded the incorrectly charged contract amount, and I truly appreciate their understanding and support.Meantime, can you please hire a Japanese talented supporter ?

Your pricing is unbelievably high. And even worse, the increases are huge when you decide to make the monthly subscriptions even higher.
Your platform definitely offers a convenience for entrepreneurs, but you also have too many glitches to be so expensive.
UPDATE: Teachable did reach out right away after this review and the immediate support, clarification of options available, and help with a tech issue is why I'm increasing my rating. Thank you.

Haven't used teachable or been a paying user in over a year. Today I get an email from "collections" notifying me that I owe $1200 to teachable. Login to account, balance of zero, no paid plans. No notifications or emails of anything owed in the last year. Just a headache to deal and almost no way to get in touch with actual support. Not sure how I could every recommend a product that sends a non existent bill to collections. I don't know if they got taken over by private equity or what happened.

Teachable Review – Do NOT Use This Platform If You Care About learner experience and revenue
Payments fail when it matters most - During a $10k live campaign with 600+ attendees, checkout completely broke. Hundreds clicked “Pay.” Zero payments went through.
Crashes during live sales - The platform failed exactly when our limited-time upsell window opened. If timing matters to your business, Teachable will cost you money.
No outage alerts or warnings - No communication, no heads-up. We discovered the issue only after losing revenue.
Admin dashboard barely works- Pages need multiple refreshes to load. This has been happening for months.
Students face checkout errors and blame you
Learners think your business is broken. Teachable damages your brand.
Support delays instead of solving - Weeks of emails asking for the same proofs again and again. No resolution.
Chargebacks caused by Teachable, paid by you - Multiple student charged back due to Teachable’s failure. Teachable still deducted our money plus fees.
Expensive but unreliable ~$200/month pricing with worse reliability than free tools like Zoom.
Hides behind “As Is” terms - When losses happen, Teachable takes zero responsibility. No compensation. No accountability.

I emailed with a billing discrepancy, and Tehrel and the team answered my question and solved the problem. So happy.

Good platform but because of a unilateral change in their packages in mid 2025, we will lose a lot and pay much more at renewal early 2026.
Our yearly package of $1428 US gave us:
- 50 Courses
- 50 Coaching
- 50 Digital Download
In 2026, we will need to go to a bigger package (Advanced) for $3708 US, which gives us only 100 products (Courses, Coaching, Digital Download) This is an increase of 150%! And we don't want to pass this increase to our clients!
Despite our written discussions with them, the decision is irrevocable. And are we to expect another similar arbitrary increase at any time?
How would you feel?

I am writing this very disappointed because, after five years as a customer of Teachable and more than €10,000 spent to host our courses, we have received what feels like a real stab in the back.
For four years, we operated on Teachable without any issues, paying approximately €1,000 per year to host our courses.
This year, however, we received a notification stating that our plan would now cost $6,000 per year. In other words, we used to pay €1,000 per year, and now we were expected to pay $6,000 per year — six times more. An absolute madness.
We wrote to Teachable explaining that we could not afford such an increase. They offered us a 40% discount, and we asked whether they could reduce it a bit further. After that, we received no response, so we assumed we would have to settle for the 40% discount.
What was the surprise? Once the billing date arrived, we saw a charge of $6,000 with no discount applied. This has caused serious harm to our company, to the point where there is a real possibility that we may be forced to shut down because of this debt.
I find this a terrible way to treat long-term customers who have invested so much money and who also generate commissions for Teachable every time we make a sale through our academy.
The service we have received has been appalling, and updates to the platform in recent years have been minimal.
Since the charge was made, we have tried to file complaints over and over again, but all we have received are automated responses from their AI chatbots. I truly hope that, after leaving this review, we finally get a human response, because all we want is for them to apply the discount they promised us. We are not asking for anything extra.
We therefore recommend that no one uses this platform, especially considering there are far more affordable alternatives available.

I have a course which has 100 short videos. 1 minute each, so students have to turn on the sound for each video every time. It is so frustrated. Some people even applied refund because of it. Why you don't have the function to demute all the sounds? Is it too difficult technically?

It is very overwhelming. I have received many emails that are taking so long to go through. Im not sure which ones are adds to offer the same thing I ordered or if it is support for my course,
I generated the AI outline but hadn't finished putting in my info. I was going through the sight to see how to use it and get familiar with all the areas. I found it hard to navigate and so much is directed toward marketing when I would like to create a simple course that doesn't need gimmick to sell.
Also there is also of "lingo" that I don't know what you're talking about. It feels like you need a back ground in something computer, marketing, design related to set this up.
As well I don't want to pre launch until I have a course nearly ready to share.
I wanted to get started right away but had to wait a week for a consultation with someone from Teachables.
I would like some help and support towards this but not sure how to contact people.
I was in a WhatsApp group but they took me out of it for some reason. It seems you have a lot of people to help but I'm not sure where they are.

I have been a client of Teachable for 10 years. Previously very happy with them. In recent years, they no longer provide a human chat option, instead merely offering a chat bot, which often cannot answer questions. They say that their wait time - to eventually get through to a human - is 5 hrs on average. I am now waiting just short of 24 hours for a human reply to a simple question that their bot had no clue how to answer. I will be looking seriously at alternatives now.

Larry was fantastic to work with!
He helped me get set up on Teachable’s Growth Plan during the Black Friday special and made the entire process quick, smooth, and stress-free. He responded fast, answered every question clearly, and guided me through exactly what I needed. Really appreciated his support and professionalism!

The pricing is far too high! I'm also paying to not have teachable branding but still do somehow. Although there's a teachable app, there's no app capabilities similar to mighty network. There's also limited email function. I should be able to send campaigns, etc.
