Avoid! Time wasters

Avoid!! Went to Australia on holiday and decided to purchase an esim through this company. Waited 2 days for my esim to be activated and nothing. I contacted the firm and the said there was a confusion between my email '.co.uk and .com'. I asked for a refund but they're refusing. It's been nearly a month, no activation esim and no refund. A waste of time. Go with Optus

We would like to clarify that your activation could not be completed because the order was placed using one email address (.com), while the ID documents were sent from a different email address (.co.uk). As per our security and verification process, we are unable to proceed with activation or verification when documents are received from an email address different from the one used to place the order.
Additionally, the activation could not be completed due to the ID verification (DVS) not being successfully verified.
Regarding the refund, the activation reference had already been used in the system, which is why the case required further investigation and could not be processed as a standard cancellation.

They're stealing your money

They're stealing your money. More than 1 week trying to active it.. Lot of bu*****t about id proof not valid (like passport pic quality. I always use the same file, never got an issue) once FINALLY got the esim, the phone could never register on network. Support says "everything is activated, not our problem". Just went to telstra, registered, 5 minutes, got the sim, 1 minute, all working smooth. It's more expensive but u dont have to loose 1 year of life.

Please note that ID verification is a mandatory compliance requirement in Australia, and sometimes documents (including passport images) may be rejected by the verification system due to clarity, glare, cropping, or system checks—even if the same file has worked elsewhere before. Unfortunately, this is not something we can override manually.

Regarding the eSIM and network issue, once an eSIM is successfully activated, connectivity can sometimes be affected by device settings, compatibility, or network registration, which usually requires additional troubleshooting. We’re sorry if you felt that the support you received did not meet your expectations.

We absolutely do not intend to cause inconvenience to any customer, and we certainly do not “steal” money. Our processes are in place to meet regulatory and security requirements and to protect customers.

Rip off artists

I ordered a data sim January 8th 2026. I did not recieve the simcard for over a week. When i went to activate the service it sat on pending activation for multiple days before i contacted support. Support said their system stuffed up and they couldnt verify the details i gave them. Support then ran me around in circles trying to get me to email in high res images of all of my various IDs. After explaining i would not be sending this via unsecured email and asked if there was a secure upload option anywhere i kept getting the same response. I asked for a cancellation and a refund and was told this isnt possible.

TL/DR: Wont activate your service and wont give you a refund. Steer clear.

We’d like to clarify that the additional ID request is part of our mandatory identity verification and fraud prevention process, which is required for certain port-in and activation cases. While we do accept Medicare as an initial form of ID, some applications are automatically flagged for additional verification, in which case a driver’s license or passport is required. Also, we can see that a refund was processed to account on 16 Jan 2026. Kindly check your bank account.

Perfect data and coverage

Perfect data and coverage. while my visit in australia, I bought $39 for 90 Gb and connection was so good.
All the places I went, I got proper coverage. Few places were little bit here and there, but thats with every provider.

Telsim Are SCAMMERS!

Telsim took my money, required my passport details, and activated the service a whole month before I wanted it to start - then refused to re-set the account or refund.

BEWARE this dishonest behaviour is some of the worst I have come across in over 40 years of leading a computer business.

initaly good, activating etc...
but changed my phone number after a few days WITHOUT notifying.
VERY bad, does NOT work on all telstra nets.
this is a problem in remote areas.

SCAM

SCAM - do not purchase!! I experienced very poor service. After arriving back in NZ after being abroad & purchased an e-sim on promotion via their website on the 4th November. I selected the e-sim thinking it would be the fastest method of delivery.. I then received an email confirmation that I would receive a code posted to me in the mail which would take 3-7 business days... as I selected their promo option. What a joke! This is their way to get people to purchase full price instead, as they email out a code for full price and not promo sims.
This has now taken two weeks and one day and no sign of any letter in the mail. Instead of sending me a code they have now mailed me another code which will take 3-7 business days. What a waste of time!!! It very much feels like a scam.

Telsim is a scam

I would give it less than one star if I could. Very poor coverage, customer service closes at 7pm and the only thing that ‘outperformed’ was the sales team at the airport when we arrived. We are traveling the great ocean road road and at 80% of the time we have no coverage, while other travelers have coverage. Telsim is a pure scam that sells you blue sky at the airport, k owing they will never see you again.

Telsim has a shit customer service they don't get back after.for the request I asked them about my esim no moving to another phone since I loss my phone were the esim was I have provided them my id which they request they keep saying someone will get back to me shortly and no one 4ver did telsim customer don't care about their customer and I have left a lot messages soni even called them.butnthey just say someone will get back toe.shortly.bit no one ever did so do not bother getting a phone service with this company as they are shit and sonwithbthe customer service I'm getting with them

DO NOT BUY THEIR PREPAID PLAN

DO NOT BUY THEIR PREPAID PLAN! I had the prepaid plan for a year when I was on a working holiday visa in Australia, and thought that since it was a one time purchase, it would end once the year was over. But just a few days ago, I got a tax invoice telling me that they had taken my money for yet another year. I tried to get through customer service to get a refund, since I won’t be using the mobile plan again, and they just said that since I had auto recharge enabled, they couldn’t do a refund? This is not something I have manually done, and there was in no way any consent from me for them to do this. No email or anything, asking me if I wanted to go through with the payment. Absolutely ridiculous, and I’m beyond frustrated with this company.

Telsim had auto recharge enabled by default without user consents and took ppls money without remorse. the Australia government is not doing anything to protect the consumers. Shame on the Government leaving Telsim doing all this. i would think the government has shares with Telsim.
