Telvio is an international calling app (VoIP) for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android. It lets you call real phone numbers abroad over Wi-Fi or mobile data, at rates far below standard carrier and roaming prices. Telvio calls land on ordinary landlines, mobile numbers and office lines in more than 200 countries. The person you call does not need the app, an account or an internet connection — their phone simply rings. The same calls can be made from a Mac, so you are not tied to a handset when you work at a desk. How it works: download the app and get one free trial minute, then top up when you need more. Calling credit is sold in one-off packages — Starter $1.99, Standard $4.99 and Pro $9.99. There is no subscription, no monthly fee and no auto-renewal. Billing is per second with no connection fee, and minutes never expire. Example rates: from $0.03/min to the United Kingdom, $0.05/min to Mexico, $0.07/min to the USA and $0.24/min to India.
