Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. No assistance with choosing a tent when we requested (3 staff chatting behind the counter). Then advertised discounts in store but charged full price- said they were too busy to adjust the discount price stickers (from 2 months ago). Then smirked and refused to meet the advertised price when challenged
Great prices fast free delivery
Don't know why these guys are low stars, get my Yeti gear from them all the time. Also fast shipping or pick up in store. Price is always on point and best in market. Very Happy

BEWARE of their online RETURNS Policy. I bought a tent extension which has turned out to be totally unsuitable and unused. I've kept all packaging. However there is only a 2 week window to return and even if taken out of box, is deemed as used! I won't be buying anything else from them. There are much friendlier genuine stores to buy from

I love to shop at any camping stores but this is now my go to store, pricing is on point and better help compared to other camping stores in Cairns. I also had a claim for a tent last year and was handled excellently by the team. Happy Customer!

Although tentworld have some knowledgeable staff and a pretty good range of products, the online store is very unreliable in my experience. It seems to be a problem that goes right back to their inventory system. When you find a good local store called them up to check that they actually have stock and pay in the store with your card.

Asked staff a question. Young man told me 2 year warranty on Oztrail. Then he transfers call to a female "knowledgeable" staff member, who then contradicted the other staff member. Then argued with me that the previous staff said 2 years, then said oh dear" you are not listening to me" ! Then said it was 2 years and started arguing again and hung up! What a pathetic attitude and complete lack of service and intelligence! Tentworld must be very hard up for decent staff who knows what they are talking about! And don't pull the card like a child, "you are not listening to me. I am going to hang up on you now"! Laughable! Childish! Very immature! Why don't you train your staff Tentworld to actually work with customers who have faulty products from you??

Tent world prospect.. rang the store to make sure they had product in stock .. the lady told me yes and would put the two items behind counter to collect in two hours . Got there ,they only had one ..she didn’t realise one was on hold for another customer.. she really did not care that I had gone out of my way to pick up the two items ..that she told me they had …. Return Goods - Tentworld keep your $$$
Like others, I bought an item online, however when I received it, it was not at all like what was advertised. I sent an email and returned it requesting a refund. Then the deceit began, first it was your request has been put through. Now it is we can not give a refund for change of mind or opened goods. How on earth is it change of mind when the goods are not as advertised and how would I know unless I opened it? And, it went from taking a couple of days to sort it out to now taking a couple of months. This company should not be allowed to do business.

I found this store to be full of all the ideas that I have in my head on display, they give you time to browse without being interrupted and are very helpful and knowledgeable in what your needs are without pushing labels onto you, just recommendations of quality. Great customer service as well.

Absolutely poor service. I ordered items on the 1st and 3rd of July 2021. Firstly the website says all items will be dispatched in 3 working days. The next time "All new orders placed online will be dispatched on Wednesday the 7th July. Due to End Of Year Stocktake." The next time "All new orders placed online will be dispatched on Friday 9th July. Due to End Of Year Stocktake." They should get offline and perhaps service customers in store. What a horrible experience.

Recently purchased a yamaha 3000kva generator online for my up and coming travels around australia in a caravan with my wife and baby. After purchasing i discovered that the unit size was too large to store in the back of caravan. So i called up head office explaining my sistuation and what product i bought and the size i was after. I hadnt recieved the item yet but wanted to make sure if it was ok to return the item once i did recieve it. I was told that i could take the generator to my local store and they would be able to help me start the return process from there. So after i got off the phone to head office i called my local store just make sure and they also had no problem with it.
So in trust i was able to return the item i bought the size down from the origional generator as soon as i could as stock is hard to find and we leave on our trip around oz in 2 weeks.
The day after recieving the origional generator i took it to a local store for the return. To my suprise they told me i wasnt able to do so, so i called back to head office and spoke to a rather smug person on the phone who was to no help and all he said was its our online returns policy and pretended his computer froze so he could put me on hold while he discussed it with his manager.
After i explained to him i was advised not once but twice that i was going to be able to return it, all he could say was its our online policy then remained silent. Then says i was breaking up when ever i spoke after. So this is how tent world treats their customers who spend thousands of dollars with them. I am now $5700 into a generator and stuck with a unit usless to me. Money that would help my family and i live on the rd.
Not a happy customer and i will never shop at tent world again, nor will anyone i know.

WOW Tentworld no customer service, no hi how are you? May as well have been invisible. We drove 11/2 hrs to this store, had multiple staff on, some serving, some not, had team members walk past us as were looking at a particular product for a good 15 minutes, and not even a HI. Even when we were leaving and team member at front register, no see you later, have a good day, nothing.
Won't be bothering again, and have now ordered online with an opposition company, ( which I thought I would try to give money to our state), so, your loss of a largish sale. And this is why retail is doing so poorly
Very disappointed with Tentworld
Very disappointed with Tentworld. I purchased a Hema navigator for my husband, which after I gave it to him realised it was too big for the dash. I was not given a credit or refund because it was past the 14 day period by 6 days. I purchased it as a gift 2 weeks earlier and didn't know about the 14 days return. There is nothing on my invoice stating this policy. Apparently I should have looked at their returns policy online prior to purchase. I have never come across another retailer that doesn't refund or exchange an item within a certain time. Not good business as I will not shop there again.
UPDATE
UPDATE: No apology from rude and incompetent staff and no refund because item had been opened prior to discovering I had been ripped off. There are so many alternative retailers offering honest and friendly service who deserve your business.
