James, the instructor, was 1st class top draw! He knows all the ins and outs of a ducks a bum when it comes to spraying and decorating.
The class is a group of 4 so you get the full attention of your instructor.
You are full on with the practical over both days with no written work, unless you’re writing notes.
We were shown little tricks that would normally take many mistakes and years of experience.
Jamie who runs the academy, in James’s words “is the GURU of spray painting”
Honestly, you just know when someone really are on their game and when speaking to Jamie, you get a sense and confidence of the full knowledge this guy has. You flip a question to him and like a machine gun he is back to you with a full detailed explanation.
Don’t bother with any other academy because Abode really do shit all over ‘em!
Down to earth REAL tradesmen who love the banter and doing the job to the absolute best of their abilities and highest of standards.
You will not regret doing this course and I guarantee you will return for others cus I certainly will be.

It was my first time doing a spraying course so totally new at this, the staff at the Academy were first class! Nothing was too much hassle for them and always able to answer questions due to their experience in the industry.

I travelled 5 hours to do the course, yes there were courses closer, but I honestly believe none would have delivered the training in the same way!

Jamie, James and Anna were really professional and always at hand. I can honestly say I learnt lots on the course, I even bought a full spray set up, there were no hard sells (unlike most courses I’ve been on in various trades).

Anybody sitting on the fence thinking if they can do it, the answer is yes they will deliver great training

I wanted to learn about spraying to help me with my van conversion and have literally no decorating, let alone spraying experience. From my first conversation with Anna to the end of the course with James, everyone has been so helpful and professional. I bought the HVLP and received the free training course and will probably be back for the UPVC course.
I’m a bit old school and like to speak to real people over the phone and Abode provide this, Jamie even responded to a WhatsApp message on a Sunday!!

What can I say about Abode? Just that they’re an absolute dream team—friendly, fun, and ridiculously helpful! I popped in for their one-day HVLP spraying course, and honestly, it was a total blast from start to finish. I learned loads, got hands-on with the kit, and by the end of the day… yep, I was sold! Walked out with a shiny new sprayer (plus a few optional extras 😄).

Massive shoutout to James, our trainer—what a legend! Super chill, seriously knowledgeable, and made the whole day feel like a breeze. He was right there with us every step of the way, no stress, just great energy and top tips.

And I’ve already booked myself onto their UPVC course in August—can’t wait to go back!

Had an amazing time on the 2 day airless and HVLP spraying course. Jamie and the whole team couldn’t do enough to assist with any questions or queries that arose.
Jamie is really passionate about giving you a good grounding in all aspects the course.
As an absolute beginner I wasn’t expecting to walk away as a full fledged & competent Spray painter but what the corse does is make you aware of the many mistakes that could of been made if I had just watched YouTube tutorials as I had before attending.
If like me you have no previous experience I would highly recommend attending the course as it gives you a really solid start to then go on and build up your experience

I went to the airless spraying course after purchasing the a6 airless sprayer. The course was very thorough. I learnt so much and got to spray a room. They provided us with lunch which was 10/10 especially the brownie. I’m definitely going back to book another course. I would highly recommend you go and check these guys out.

Forget the rest; Jamie (The Gaffa), his better half Anna and all of the pivotal members of the Abode Training Academy that ensure it remains a well oiled machine, are exactly why I've been a repeat customer several times over to further bolster my skill set. You'll not be disappointed with the plethora of knowledge, true transparency and thorough approach to their craft and field. I've been very impressed by them all. James, the tutor I've been privileged to have been taught by, is a great guy and very easy to get along with and learn from. Just completed the kitchen spraying course and will be booking on to the granite spraying course as a result. The course was absolutely brilliant both from the skill side of things and Jamie’s invaluable advice on everything to do with spraying . He’s such a down to earth guy which made for a relaxed and enjoyable. Thanks Jamie and Anna.

2nd course with Abode, this time Special Effects & Metal spraying, absolute brilliant few days, got me thinking what I can do to add value and do things differently for my business. As usual The team were great, a huge thanks to James, Jamie and Anna.

Really great Training. Very hands on and professional tips from Jamie and James.
Ive completed both kitchen and furniture + HVLP and Airless 2 day courses.
The thing that i find really beneficial is that Jamie has the work experience and knowledge to advise of beth methods, best use of spray machinery, best techniques also.
I Used the CiTb funding for Decorating Companies which the Admin team helped with also. Il hopefully get to purchase the A6 soon also.
