Bad customer service

There was promotion going on for free speaker. Even after two months they said we can't promise exect time. There was flyer for free speaker. So, at this store free means you will get it but if they have in stock and when they restock. Even though they had promotion. Customer service said same just wait.

My family is SO DONE

My family has attempted to deal with the Brick repeatedly . We have purchased many pieces of furniture from this company. The mattress in question failed after three months. The Brick refused responsibility and told us that our problem was not theirs. Go to the company that produced it. Repeated attempts were spurned. The Brick couldn’t care any less after they made their $ money. Never again

Unprofessional store liars

Brick is worst place to buy anything
They are rude,inconsiderate and liars
They are quick to take money but do not care whether u even receive product.
Waited over 2 months and product NEVER arrived
Scam and liars
Beware went back store get refund and manager and staff were very very very rude..

Buyers Beware buying from the Brick

Buyers Beware buying from the Brick. My mom purchased an electric fire place Sept. 17. It was delivered on Sept. 24. My brother put it together and 3 logs came with it. Two logs are the same on right and we need a left log. My brother went back on September 25 and the lady took the information and ordered a new log and said it would be mailed to the house.  My mom called two weeks later and said they said the part was on order. Then on the third week I went in with my mom and spoke to an assistant manager and they didn’t even have it in the computer that my mom even ordered the part. Meanwhile, my brother and her were there when they ordered it. I said it wasn’t even a month yet Can she just return the fireplace and they said once you open the box it’s non-refundable. 😡 so now this fireplace has been sitting in my mothers room since September 24 and she can’t use it and we’re still waiting for a part that they have no idea where it is and we can’t return it.

The poor quality of the brand.

I will like to give them zero start. The sales person uninformed, dishonest who lie and I never see rud manager.
First of all don't buy anything from them. Second of all don't trust the sale person please read the invoice payment or their policies.

I bought a sofa from The Brick

I bought a sofa from The Brick, and it started tearing on its own in less than 9 months — without any misuse.
When I contacted their support, they refused to help, even through the warranty.
The staff were also very rude and unprofessional.

I expected at least some responsibility and respect for customers, but the whole experience was extremely disappointing.
I would never recommend buying from The Brick.

Purchase a Sofa bed ,late delivery & rude guys !a disaster !

Purchase a sofa bed about 3 weeks ago ,in the area of Woodbridge store the sales person Heather she was outstanding ,she help us no problem ,but for my surprise they call me saying the couch was going to be delate with the delivery , & that's fine afertall, today finally we got the sofa & two delivery guys came one of them came in ,& my husband show him that the sofa was suppost to be going in the bsm, when he saw the way, first thing he said I dont think we can bring the couch downstairs, we going to break your sliling, my husband offer to take the door out ,he said no dont worry about the door but the siling is going to break , so going out on.my porch they trying to get in ,but they said is not going to go ,you have to take pictures from the wall & these & that my daughter started to get the pics down & she damage the wall because they were stick on frames ,I was getting upset ,because it looked like these guys they didn't wanted to do the job Not even trying I suggested to go a little higher they say no , we know our job & so on & so on , now I was trying to tell them that I had couple couches before in the past & they went thrue ok , from Leons & we had no problem ,they didn't wanted to hear me at one point I said you guys didn't even try ,will send it back then as ?? The guy started to pull the couch out from the door, I say that's nice , for last try I mentioned take all the plastic & cardboard, he said nooo we can ,so The brick you have incompetent people for the delivery ,was I upset of course one of them told me Iam a rude person & that is my nature these guys dont know me ,my point is these two guys they didn't even try to come in with the couch, they didn't wanted to go to the basement, short story .Now we are getting our money back ,but never ever again I would deal with the Brick I spend the money with your store a fair delivery I think is fare ,not to deal with rudeness ! I have respect for individuals in general but if they dont like there job & I know is a heavy one just go & do something you like! Only a Big Thank you to Heather 🙏

The Brick Yorkdale storage bed

Received the last of the replacement parts from The Brick customer service, for the damages noted in my original post just prior to Christmas. Now, while changing bedsheets today I noticed that one of the retaining plates that attach the foot box to one of the side units had popped a screw (imgur[dot]com/a/RlGWIP2). I've reduced my rating accordingly, as this product is definitely poor quality.

I purchased a bed frame from The Brick - Yorkdale 12 drawer, white (YO2WQSBD) - and have mixed views of it. I tried to post a review on thebrick.com six days ago, and it's still not posted.

I don't know whether they're suppressing reviews that have some negative connotations, or their moderators are short staffed, but it seems like poor optics to me. It's made worse because they emailed me a promotion in which reviewing my product could be rewarded with its purchase price, so I've also been denied a chance at the prize they advertised to me.

Here's the review text I tried to post:
Bought this bed for lots of storage to divvy up, and it covers that, but it's very tall, resulting in dangling legs.

Two pieces arrived with damage, and one bolt cap was missing, for which we're waiting on customer service to resolve. Unpacking and assembly took a couple of hours for two people, so not too bad. Attaching the headboard was harder than it had to be due to inaccurate instructions, and poorly drawn guidelines.

It looks nice, and seems sturdy.

Buy a 43 inch tv I opened the box and…

Buy a 43 inch tv I opened the box and the tv was bent on the top corner and when I plugged it in after 10 minutes some lines appeared across the tv. Not even 15 hours later I brought it back and they told me that they do not exchange or give the money back, what kind of store does that, call the brick I sent pictures it has been 3 weeks and still no answer. I went on social media to write a very bad review on the brick and it seemed to work the feedback was amazing, any other store would have changed it write away. It is now 3 weeks and still waiting for an answer.

I bought a Hisense television on the 16th of August 2025 .
Reported a problem less than a week later
No help , no respect for the warranty.
I was told by the sales rep. that my tv was to cheap and not to expect anything better.
This was at ; The Brick in Hawkesbury Ontario.
Today , the 1st of October 2025 , I received a phone call , saying that they can't do anything for me .
I am stuck with a Hisense QD6 55" piece of
junk .

I am extremely disappointed with The…

I am extremely disappointed with The Brick’s handling of my warranty claim. I purchased the OK2LGRS3 Light Grey 3PC Sectional along with their Furniture Warranty Service Agreement, expecting peace of mind and product protection. Unfortunately, when significant issues developed—namely the left side cushion and backrest leaning, sinking, and sagging—my warranty claim was outright denied.

The explanation provided was that “sagging is not covered” and that my product is now considered “everyday normal wear and tear” despite being only one year old. To me, a sectional sofa showing such visible deterioration in comfort and support after just a year indicates a defect in quality and durability, not ordinary wear. Denying coverage under these circumstances makes the warranty feel misleading and of little practical value.

I believe a warranty should protect customers against premature structural and comfort issues—precisely the kind of concerns I reported. Instead, The Brick’s refusal leaves me with an expensive, poorly performing sofa and no recourse, despite having invested extra in their warranty program.

This experience has left me questioning the value, transparency, and fairness of The Brick’s warranty service. Customers deserve products that last longer than a year without collapsing cushions and warranties that actually deliver on their promises.

I would urge anyone considering a purchase to carefully read the fine print before buying both furniture and warranties from The Brick. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend their warranty service, and I will be much more cautious about future purchases.

Customers are not a priority

I have bought many items in the past 18 months from The Brick including 4 mattresses and a couch. One mattress was much firmer than in the store, but it was exchangeable so I am attempting to exchange it.

The delivery system is a nightmare. They will not arrange delivery until nearly a week later. I had told them that I had an event on that day, so only first thing may work. The salesperson didn't note that, so they won't guarantee first drop off - since they don't start until 11 am with deliveries. The next delivery day is nearly a week later and you have to bend to whenever they say. They don't care if you work long hours or what works for you. All I asked for is first thing if at all possible - but you would think that I was asking the world. Customers are such a bother.........

Trying to ask simple questions were met with snotty comments - ones that made it very clear that they clearly were not listening to my question. They just told me "the way it will be" and they don't care now that the sale is made.

We have other items to shop for and will be going elsewhere

Don't use the Brick

Don't use the Brick. Worst delivery service ever. They were rude, damaged the new fridge and my doorway and refused to take the old fridge. After arguing for a week they agreed it was there fault and came back to get the old fridge only to damage my wall again. STILL WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO CALL. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

Warranty is a scam

I received a new mattress from a warranty claim, the mattress arrived in February. I called to inform them this mattress has a defective and need to be looked at being replaced. The customer service rep refuses to get a manager to speak to always and excuse in the warehouse, not able to come to the phone. Then also is trying to tell me that my mattress doesn't have warrenty anymore that once you have warrenty once your done!! Once again the brick with crappy service and the lying to the customer about there items

Horrible customer service regarding warranty

I purchased a dishwasher in April of 2023. I paid for installation and extended warranty. The unqualified installer came left a mess and did not install it correctly so two other installers came back to fix the bottom kick plate. They informed at that time that it was installed incorrectly and they had fixed the kick plate. 2 years later the dishwasher dropped and shifted because there was not any bracing installed on the upper part of the dishwasher to the countertop or cabinet. The feet of the dishwasher were not installed as the installation instructions said they should be. The feet were extended to the maximum, even though the installation instruction book stated they should only be extended up to half way. Now I have a dishwasher that has dropped, the legs are bend over and the dishwasher has dropped about 2 inches from the original position. The Brick will not do anything about this because the installation warranty is only 1 year and the fact that it was not installed correctly originally doesn't matter. I asked for my installation fee to be refunded as the installation was defective. They have refused. If you purchase anything from the Brick that requires installation, do not use their installation service as they do not know what they are doing, nor will they fix anything their workers do. Now I will have to pay someone else to come in and install it properly. Total waste of paying for the installation at the Brick.
Even though the Brick did an automatic reply stating they would call after I sent the information again, they have not. The reply is the same for all negative reviews. It means nothing, but sure looks good to unsuspecting customers.
To the customer service department, don't put up that automatic response about how you will look into it as we both know is not true.

Don’t buy there extended warranty

Don’t buy there extended warranty, they tell you it is 100% covered if they can’t fix it they replace it and if it’s not available they will replace it with equal value all lies. The gave me half of what it was worth and u have to use it in 6 months. Don’t trust them. I even asked a sales person when I went back to use the credit and he told me all about the full warranty again. All lies

They dumped my washer into the living…

They dumped my washer into the living room when my teen was home. Everyone else could not be there. Didn’t take the old washer away because they could fool a teenager. It was unhooked and ready for them. Clean and available to easily take away. I now get to pay 150 dollars to have someone come take it away. Just started a new job. The timing for this is awful. 3 weeks without a washer. And now we have a washer that needs an app and wifi bs to just press start. All washers are now poor quality data retrieving machines. I will buy a commercial next time when this one disappoints way before it should. The whole experience was garbage.

Don't deal with Monica in customer service

In August 2025, I visited a Brick store on Cyrville in Ottawa and had amazing customer service from Jared. He was helpful, not pushy, and seemed really great. I purchased a significant amount of furniture. Fast forward 3 weeks later to delivery, and it was THE WORST. The delivery crew didn't show up though sent a link saying how did we do; they'd apparently gone to an address that was clearly wrong (based on the photo I later received) though said they were at the right place and couldn't get access. And when I called for an explanation and a fix, my Brick experience faltered. All because of Monica in customer service. She was unprofessional, belligerent, and aggressive... and completely in the wrong. I was blamed, bullied and yelled at. And then told my delivery would be delayed a week now because the window was missed and it's a Friday so oh too bad, next week it is. So I reached out to Jared, and threatened to cancel my order if it didn't get fixed immediately. He was helpful and apologized for what happened (which of course Monica hadn't done). By the end of the day, 8 hours past when they were supposed to have been there, I did get my furniture; it was in good condition, built quickly, and the delivery crew of 2 (Tirell and Kirk) were nice and did a good job. They said they weren't the morning crew that screwed up earlier in the day. I believed them, naive as I am, and tipped them very well for the late day service on a Friday night. I feel hosed though after seeing other reviews about the Brick, and realize it likely was them that screwed up earlier, and I still rewarded them. Regardless, it's over, and I have my furniture. The real reason for this one star review is 100% because of Monica. She should be fired. And I should be offered a credit of some kind for having been treated so poorly.
