I've been using the dogs butcher now for almost 2 years..
The raw minces are always of a high quality, as are the natural treats.
The packs are delivered frozen and well packed/insulated.
Comparing prices to other suppliers, they are competitive. Yes I could get same product from closer to home, but with no more that a 2 day order to delivery, I have a confidence in the dogs butcher.
Most importantly , my rescue English bulldog loves the minces, especially any fish and duck.

Delivery was later than notified and two of the packs had started to defrost.

Absolutely faultless food overall! My dog loves it! However the packaging is poor, the plastic quite often snaps and breaks which you can't easily tell until it defrosts and the juices from the meat then runs everywhere and creates a huge mess.

They package the meat into a box with packing peanuts which then stick to the tubs of meat and are a pain to get off because the meat starts to defrost in transit and that makes the packing peanuts get incredibly sticky. They then end up in my freezer and cause a sticky mess in the bottom. The use of them doesn't seem necessary in my opinion. They don't serve a purpose as the box is full and then there is a handful sprinkled on top that end up EVERYWHERE.

Been feeding raw for 7 years now & for the past year I've been buying The Dogs Butcher online & having it shipped to Glasgow. We've tried a lot of different raw brands but TDB is by far the best. The variety thats available too is fabulous they never seem to be out of stock which was always an issue with our local supplier. Never had any problems with delivery either.

I've always found The dogs butcher to be a great company, and they do some unusual novel proteins for dogs that you can't get anywhere else. I will continue feeding TDB to my dog and would highly recommend. The only thing I would say is that DPD let both them and myself down. Absolutely no fault of TDB, they sorted things out quickly and couldn't have been more helpful.
DPD took the food back to the depot at the end of the day, when they should have delivered it in the time slot given, seeming to ignore the label on the box that states it should be delivered today. This isn't the first time this has happened with frozen raw dog food in recent months, and the same scenario played out with another supplier recently. Will buy the TDB and others from shops when possible in the future, and I certainly wouldn't trust DPD to deliver in the summer months.

Fast delivery and excellent products reasonably priced. Great packaging which kept the frozen items that way. An easy to use website with easy ordering.

I have been feeding this brand for 7 years and ever since it was sold to Dibo, the quality has gone downhill.
for about a year now the minces are full of fat and gristle. The price is so high for the quality. I found loads of chunky pieced of bone in every other mince and could see it reflected in the dogs stool. both my dogs have actually had several incidents of upset stomach since August and so I will never use Tdb again. id rather feed my dogs wet food and kibble than this brand ever again.

I have been buying boneless turkey chunks for about 3 years. On their website the photo is of pink, oval looking pieces and that’s what they have always been like, good quality. I opened a packet from my recent delivery and the meat was brown/grey in colour and smelled different, it was also very large pieces. I took photos and emailed the Dog’s Butcher and received a reply with an apology and offering a refund. I confirmed I wanted a refund and asked them to collect the meat, I had 38 kg and no method to dispose of it. I then received an email stating the meat was turkey and just starting to oxidise but again confirming a refund. I asked for a refund asap and stated the meat must have been left out for some time ie days for the oxidation to be such a dark colour and so deep into the meat. I have not received a refund and my subsequent emails have been ignored.

Great company that supplies excellent quality products & has good variety especially of single novel proteins. The meat is ethically sourced & is a decent price.
Ordering is easy & delivery was quick.

Been using this company for ages , never had any issues with anything, delivered by dpd, always well packed and frozen , and no complaints from my dog either
