We now distil single malt English Whisky in our state-of-the art 500 litre pot still. Our gin is recognised as one of the worlds finest spirits having won an unprecedented two separate double-gold medals at the San Francisco Spirit Awards. It was a fascinating and memorable Whisky Distillery tour and tasting. This local whisky is very good. Now my husband and I are thinking of coming back for the Gin and Rum tours. So pleased to see how talented and hardworking people have organised this local business.
Our tour was guided and organised by Sophia. She was very knowledgeable and made our tour very interesting. We tried different products and learned a lot. Also it was fun. Sophia made us feel relaxed and our group was very friendly and chatty.
My husband and I used a post code to find this place, it was not a good idea. Better to just follow the main road. The Distillery situated in a very picturesque place with fantastic views. It is Britain’s highest altitude Distillery. Definitely worth visiting.
Did the gin tour on Sat 22 Feb, hosted by Sophia, and it was outstanding. Very informative, great fun, and the gin was delicious! Forest Distillery is a remarkable story - the passion and perfectionism of all involved in the business is evident. Highly recommended! (And make sure you have a designated driver, or get the bus that stops outside! You don't want to miss out.)
Very enjoyable and informative gin tour Chris was a very entertaining host.
Amazing gin tour experience. Chris was an excellent host. Generous samples, really enjoyable afternoon.
Visited the Cat & Fiddle distillery and gave my details to the bar man as the machine was not working on that day. Brought £120 worth of gin and then a parking notice arrived on 6th November.
Seeing as I gave the barman the details as their machine was not working why did this happen? Have appealed but have yet to hear anything. Spoke to the distillery manager who said they would cancel it and yet nothing has happened.
Would avoid all of their car parks and the Cat and Fiddle in future

Forest Distillery is an absolute gem of a place. We've had a couple of distillery tours now, the latest one was last Sunday as we had a visitor over from the States. Rick was brilliant, born for the role of host/tour guide! We've done many, many distillery tours all over Scotland through the years and this is quite possibly the best one. Thanks for being so welcoming.

A fantastic and engaging two hour guided Whisky tour (not Whiskey) a little something I learned on the tour! What a brilliant place, staff are so knowledgeable and great to learn about the roots of the business too!

A very eco conscious company with a very tasty Gin and quality gifts.
I saw one of their lovely bottles of Gin on holiday and made a note of the name, once home I ordered from their website and couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend this little company.

The assistant was very chatty and helpful. Found the item we had purchased and ended up buying some chocolates as well. Good sales.

Attended the Whisky tour with my son - we both had a great afternoon. We found the stories behind Whisky distilling in general and of the company really interesting, and Ross was an excellent presenter and tour guide. Samples were provided to demonstrate the excellence of the product. Then of course there is the story of the Cat and Fiddle pub, and its rescue and re-purposing. Finally a tour of the distillery and vaults. Learned a lot and enjoyed some excellent whisky. Highly recommended.
Quick friendly service. love the whisky tumblers. They have a good weight perhaps a little wide for a smaller hand. Will make a great gift .
Popped into the distillery shop whilst on holiday, I was interested in the recycled wool blankets and cushions whilst there , so I asked that if I purchased in the shop were they able to post them to me, as I'd seen them on their website and as they had a good selection there I was able to choose the ones I preferred, but I was told I had to order them online if I wanted them posted to me as those were shipped from their warehouse for postage, now to be fair the person did check with their manager to be certain.
Other than this it was nice to have a look around the shop and the views of the countryside where the distillery is situated are wonderful
We required a gift set for some friends passing through from London on a Tuesday. One of whom had expressed interest in the Whisky made by the Forest distillery. With the help of Beth we were able to surprise our friends, particularly as the shop is closed on Tuesdays. Thank you so much.
