Had a lovely birthday meal here with my partner. Staff were great! Adam reseated us because of wind near the door! Great atmosphere, food amazing. Lovely location with amazing views from the garden
Fantastic traditional country pub in an amazing location, great rooms, good food, one of the best English full breakfasts and helpful staff, really enjoyed our stay.
Fish batter overcooked, dark brown and hard and chips obviously not fresh - luke warm and dried up. The staff were very polite and helpful but we got our food an hour after our booked arrival. I have eaten here a few times over the last few years and never had a bad meal before. The food was edible so I ate it as I didn’t want to spoil the lunch treat I was giving a friend. I did politely mention the problems to a member of staff but not sure the message would go any further. Do hope it improves as this is a lovely pub that I have enjoyed taking foreign guests to in order to show them how lovely our ‘locals’ are.
