Thermos....aint what they used to be!
Wanting two simple one mug flasks the name which immediately sprung to mind was Thermos. Trusting their ad I purchased two King Travel Tumblers but the first time my wife used them was the last. Firstly the coffee lost temperature and secondly, cleaning it requires total stripping of the many plastic and rubber knobs and washers and drying and reassembling them - an impossible task for one with arthritic fingers, I contacted Thermos and their attitude was Tough Luck!! a decent firm would have offered to exchange them for an alternative. So £45 of my old age pension now languishes in the cupboard; waiting gifts for someone I dislike while I find an alternatives that work.

You know that feeling of trepidation when you ask a companies customer care department to help, expecting 101 questions only to recieve the computer says no response.
Well that wasn't the case with Thermos UK.
I had a small but critical issue with a Stainless King Travel Mug I bought 12 months ago, just past the point where the vendor does anything so you're relying on the manufacturer warranty. Well for this item the claim is a 5 year warranty, but you always have the feeling that there's a catch somewhere.
I messaged them got through to Lauren who asked for some easy to get details and she almost instantly sent out a replacement part.
Every communication was a pleasure, every response was positive.
If you buy quality you get quality and that appears to extend all the way through Thermos UK.

Unfortunately I have to join the huge number of people who are complaining about the very bad experience they’ve had where Thermos UK is concerned.
I note that not once do they reply to any reviews of complaint and in so doing, protect the highly held name of Thermos as I knew it decades ago….it was a real household and reliable name.
They have not responded to my simple email query (sent twice), with reference to a basic replacement lid.
Regrettably I would join those who suggest ‘don’t bother with this company……it is a disgrace to ignore customers reaching out for help.

Thermos Stainless King Flask
I purchased a Thermos Stainless King 1.2L Multi-Purpose Thermos Flask. However after 2 months of using there seems to be some coating/lining which is peeling. I have been in contact with thermos and they were not very helpful. I have since sent in the flask so they could inspect and after a month heard back nothing.
Impossibilism between US and UK teams
We purchased a funtainer bottle in the US. It started leaking and is covered by their 5 year warranty. Problem is we are now a few months in the UK and my daughter would really like to have a functioning bottle. I spent nearly 2 months corresponding with UK and US teams and there seems to be a systemic impossibilism. The message I receive seems to be saying that the replacement bottle can only be sent to the US. This is quite shocking. My previous experience with global brands is that they try to adjust to dynamic life of their customers. I hope some customer teams at HQs read this and help me resolve this matter. Otherwise why to buy from brands?

I got a flask for my husband had it a couple of months and it leaked everywhere the washer had come off easily during hand washing and we couldn’t find where it went - we have now found the place for the washer - so will have to go forward with this cautiously- my point is tho I contacted them by email twice for help and they haven’t answered either very poor customer service

Excellent customer service and we loved our Funtainer water bottles for both of my children. I accidentally ordered the wrong bottle for my little girl and when I contacted customer service via telephone they rectified my mistake promptly and sent me the right one. Excellent quality and customer service!
pump pot inside fell apart
pump pot inside fell apart, the plastic top went brittle and fell in when pumped. No spares available on line. The plastic does not seem fit for purpose and the material is very thin. No response from thermos in more than a week.
Poor Finished Items
WoW, wish I looked at this review beforee making my purchase! Just purchassed 5 x Stainless King™ Tumbler 470ml as though Thermos was a goon name to buy, first outing and black cup has scratch marks on from being in a rucksack. I apreciate that if it rubbed hard against somthing the paint would scratch off but not that eaisely. Very pooly finished.

I've spent a fortune over the years on thermos products,one cup I had twenty years. I was gutted when it broke,only to fo find it's discontinued. I only ever buy the the steel flasks and mugs as they are much better quality. My wife bought me a new thermos flask cup for Christmas and it's outstanding. I put coffee in it at 6 a.m. and forgot about it at 4pm,I remembered I had it with me. I thought I'll give it a go see how hot it is,was seriously surprised how the coffee was still as hot as it was when I initially made it. This time I learned my lesson and bought two more for back up. As for the food flask, that's a different matter not worth it at all. The food flask barely lasted two hours,I preheated it and still no good. Please bring out a 12v flask,flask cup and food flask or better still rechargeable flask,flask cup and food flask,absolute game changer.
I was given this as a gift
I was given this as a gift. I find it easy to use, I've not had the issue another review mentioned with the sliding lid. I've had it a week, already used it several times. I chose it for the flip off lid as I've had trouble with screw on lids being difficult to loosen. It seems secure, although there is some leakage while closed. I gave 3 stars because: after a couple of washes I noticed water in the vacuum chamber, so the seel can't be any good; and while it was warm when I went to drink from it after 30 mins it certainly wasn't as hot as ot was after I made the drink.
Do NOT waste money
I got my 2nd Thermocafé mug as a Christmas gift. I blamed myself for the interior blackening, the water between layers and total inabilty to keep my drink hot, for the 1st purchase. Unfortunately I had not read the reviews. Am disappointed and disgusted. The trade name Thermos was so revered. "What are ye smokin?!! " Boiling hot is not even lukewarm after 2 hours.
