Wonderful fresh goods, biltong is out of this world and the staff are very friendly and polite. As a South African away from home- they certainly make it feel more homey up here in the UK.

Products are good and the shipments are on time

What a shame, when I lived in Wimbledon I would go here a lot, today I went, biltong has no flavour, lacking the chilli that I asked for, the droewors not great, no garlic and not great, can’t fault the staff, so helpful, need to speak to who ever is doing the biltong. Really disappointing. Good luck.

Great selection of products. Shame I was only told about lack of availability of one product, the day my delivery arrived!

The only supplier i trust to get my goods.

I visited Savanna expecting a warm, welcoming experience, especially given the strong South African theme. Unfortunately, the service was really disappointing. No one was friendly or approachable, and I didn’t feel welcomed at all while browsing the shop.

I specifically went to the fridge section where there were several South African drinks. I picked up a Fanta Orange, assuming it was the South African version, which was the whole reason I wanted it. Only after purchasing it, opening it, and tasting it did I realise it was the UK version instead.

This was frustrating, as the drink was displayed among South African products and there was no clear indication that it wasn’t imported. At that point, it was obviously too late to do anything about it.

Overall, between the poor service and the misleading product placement, the experience was disappointing and not something I’d be eager to repeat.

Fast and easy

Another disappointing service from the Savanna. This is a follow up to my complaint on 5 December 2025 to which Savannah acknowledged the mistake on their part and distributor in an email on 8 December to me. According to the email, The Savannah undertook to resend the defective and non delivered products to me. To date I have not received any of the things promised nor a refund for my purchases. I wrote a follow up email on 16 December but no response was received from The Savannah. To say I am disappointed with how this was handled is an understatement. This is no way to deal with a client who has paid for goods which they never received from this establishment and those delivered were somewhat not safe to use as packages were either open or way passed their BB date. The Savannah is aware of this and promised to resend the goods yet I am having to chase them for it. Today it’s the 19 December and nothing has happened from The Savannah side not even a response to my follow up emails. This was their chance to redeem themselves but I guess they just don’t care.

Fast delivery. Excellent customer services. A little bit of home for Christmas.
