A special mention to Licille, who was so prompt and efficient!
Basically, Royal Mail had made an error with my delivery, and before Savanna even had their goods back from Royal Mail, Savanna had despatched them again, so that I would receive them before my Birthday braai this weekend.

Incredible customer service. Royal mail messed up a Friday delivery meaning my parcel was sat in the depot over the weekend in the hottest days of the year. I contacted Savanna asking if in future I could choose a different carrier. On hearing what happened they offered to replace my order Free of charge . Not their fault which makes it an even more thoughtful gesture. I will be back to Savanna, top customer service!

I have been ordering from the Savanna for about 2 years now. However I have had the worst customer service experience with them recently.

I placed an order with them on Monday and noticed the address was incorrect and sent them the right address. The order arrived late and royal mail reported that the incorrect address was used and returned the parcel.

I got told that they would ship it out for me on Monday so it can reach my customer however today they let me know the following:

"As the original order was successfully delivered by our courier and subsequently refused despite having no defects, we are unable to absorb the shipping costs for a replacement parcel. Had the request for a spesific delivery time been communicated earlier in the process, we may have been able to accommodate this; however, at this stage, the shipping fees for a new delivery would need to be covered."

Royal mail literally reported that the address was incorrect on the tracking and at this point I was just laughing so much.

Anyway if you are having issues with your order rest assured the Savanna will give you some good ol' home affairs style of customer service.

Really easy website to order from. Food was brilliant. Will definitely be ordering more for the next Braai 🇿🇦

Fast delivery, delicious biltong

I purchased some bottles of Savanna cider as I gift for my dad from The Savanna; he was so pleased having not been able to purchase this in the UK for many years. The bottles were well packaged, and postage was super quick - arrived in two days (two days earlier than expected)! Very pleased, thank you.

The South African shop The Savanna is great. Quick service and everything is packed extremely well. The meat comes in chilled bags so it stays fresh. The glass items are securely packed so there is no breakage. When you fancy something South African this company fits the bill. Thanks

What I like is the biltong and droe wors is priced competitively and tastes great. They also have a range of food products from South Africa, but are often sold out of the more popular ones. Prices for the imported products are as high as you would expect so I shop here as an occasional treat. It's great being able to order online and there is a store near London Bridge station that I pop in to if I'm in the area and have a biltong craving.

Had a care package delivered to me that had all my favourite goodies from SA, rusks, boerwors, chicken and mealie.
Made me feel homesick for somewhere that isn't even my home (though I wish it were)! Thankyou for the taste of SA, the brilliant packaging and an all round joyful experience.

Biltong is the best, a real treat for hubby and our kitties 😻😻😻 😜

The product is great. Chilli bites biltong.
My grandson is in the middle of GCSEs and loves to eat this while revising. He lives in England, and with me in Scotland, being able to have this delicious biltong delivered to him is a godsend.
We are a South African family, although he was born in Australia and me in Scotland, and we love biltong.

It’s been over a week! Still no product. Terrible service.

Great quality, taste amazing and delivery very fast. The postage is a bit expensive but it is worth it when you eat it.

I ordered biltong and droewors over a month ago and 2 weeks later it hadn't arrived so contacted them and was told they would send it out again after waiting a week i asked were my order was and was told it hadn't even been dispatched this is bad service considering how much my order was so I just asked for my money back
Very disappointed there service seems too have gone downhill

I informed Lisa & the savanna team of my home address change for an impending delivery, they were fantastic and my South African wife is happy once again.
