Fraudulant company
I ordered and paid for an item that stated on their website was available and in stock. Shortly I received an email advising that delivery would be 2 months away. Then I received another email that it was delayed even further. It has now been 5 months, I am still waiting for my item to arrive and I cannot get a response to my emails from them. Do NOT deal with them. They deserve to go under.
Do not ever buy from the Telecom shop
I ordered a High Sierra Backpack and waited 3 weeks and received nothing. Sent an email and recieved nothing, when I called them they said the item was out of stock (Discontinued) and they would refund my money in 3-5 business days. Now a full 2 months since I placed the order I still dont have the backpack and no refund either. Looks like I will need to contact them again. Do yourself a favor and don't ever use the Telecom shop
Terrible experience overall
Terrible experience overall. Placed an order online, the following day they called and told the item I wanted wasnt available. Asked for a refund and suddenly it was available. The product that arrived wasn't what I ordered. Despite emails with clear instructions for collecting the item so I could get a refund the reference number (needed as the item was being collected from a business to ID the right package) was never passed on to the courier and the address/company name the courier was asking for was not telecom shop.
Unit was collected 19th Jan and i got my refund today 15/2 only after multiple emails, initiating a chargeback with paypal and brining up my rights and the ACC.
DISHONEST, UNETHICAL BUSINESS - AVOID AT ALL COSTS
They deploy a business strategy of advertising products as "in stock", that they either don't have, or can't afford sell at the advertised price, accepting payment for the items that the unsuspecting customer has "ordered".
In most cases, one would assume that they hope the customer will simply forget their order and they get to pocket the money. However, in those cases wherein the customer has the persistence to call them (several times before getting anything even approximating a straight answer...replete with all manner of BS about, "speaking with the warehouse team", when in fact there is no such thing, this is a small, inadequate , fly-by-night operation, that they are simply using 3rd party logistics and drop-ship fulfilment to avoid stocking anything...can't blame them for that.. stocking product is insane these days...) then they eventually must delegate the unpleasant task to some poorly-compensated underling to tell the customer, "sorry that item ran put of stock BEFORE you placed the order", and then promising to issue a refund.
After wasting several weeks of the unsuspecting customer's time, wherein the business NEVER had the intention of fulfilling the order in the first place, but merely hoped to at best pocket the capital or at least have the opportunity to employ the classic, "BAIT AND SWITCH" technique of offering an alternate product which will have far greater gross margin and which they can acquire at short notice (because after all they are "the experts" and know their products better than the user so their expert recommendation has value!...NONSENSE!) and at worst, at the very least have had use of the customer's funds as working capital for a few weeks
Businesses like this should be eradicated, they are an absolute disgrace, but sadly this thoroughly dishonest, sinister and predatory business model is all too common.
I will report back in terms of how long it takes me to actually receive my refund or if I need to resort to other tactics to get it out of them.

DON'T GO NEAR The Telecom Shop PTY LTD
I purchased a DELL19" monitor off this shonky outfit for a specific job and I only had X amount of space to work with.
When I went to return it for a refund saying it was unsuitable and too big, I was told they couldn't give me a refund because the box it came in had been opened, of course it was opened otherwise how would you ascertain if it would fit or not !!
So no refund so I tried with the "We Buy Back" so I sent them a photo and a copy of the invoice, I get my email back with NO reply message or anything.
So I sent another email asking what price would they pay for it.
Then they replied saying they wouldn't be interested in the model I had.
I sold it easily on Facebook Market Place for $50.00 less than I paid, went to DELL Online and bought 2 17" Monitors direct from them and they fit perfectly.
Poor aftersales support
While the products were delivered, no support is offered, only fobs you off to the supplier even though we purchased the phones from them,
Been using them every year for the last 5 years, however will be shopping elsewhere for people who can provide support
2 exmaples
1 - Headset stopped working within 123 months, would offer a replacement, had to deal with the manufacturer direct. Then had to get a tech to resolder the battery
2 - Phones failover settings do not work, wouldnt help at all,
If you MAY need support or would like a decent waranty shop elsewhere
A factual account of our poor experience
A factual account of our poor experience with The Telecom Shop. We ordered a product from Telecom Shop on 30 July. Day 6: After hearing nothing, we chased them up. They advised they didn't actually have any stock and delivery would be delayed, offering no ETA. Day 22: We chased them yet again asking when the item would be delivered. Oddly, they responded almost immediately with tracking details. "Great!" we thought. Not so fast. Day 25: When the item arrived, it bore no resemblance to what we purchased, so we took photos and submitted a complaint. They responded saying they would investigate. Day 29: Again we hear nothing and we chase them up. They claim we purchased the wrong item. We respond with website screenshots showing that we indeed purchased the correct item. It is now day 32 of this saga. We have repeatedly asked for a refund, and at this point, this still has not been processed.
This was a very positive experience
This was a very positive experience. I ordered after their courier had left for an item that i desperatly needed next day. Very kindly they went to the post office and express shipped for me. Thanks guys!

I bought a HP switch from telecom shop, but it was not delivered, because someone somehow get to know my name and address and tracking number and use a fake photo of driver license to collect it from post office. For over two weeks, after many calls, I still dont have a solution.
In the third week, they started to asking for photo copy of my driver license and credit card(I paid with paypal not credit card) via email without any privacy policy attached or reason. I refused to provide credit card but did send photo copy of my driver license with DOB and number covered.
I want my money back or the product. But the seller is not giving any solution.
Their manager didnt call me back or answer my call. so I have lodge complaint case with NSW Fair Trading and ACCC. Hope third party stepin can help.
Watch out for this company!
Watch out for the staff at this company. Extremely unhelpful. Will sell you equipment, but when you want the software to program it. He asks for expensive support agreements. DO NOT TRUST THEM.
I do not recommend dealing with this supplier.
I would never recommend or buy from the Telecom Shop again! The product I bought was advertised as a "smart" tv, but when it was delivered, it was actually a commercial monitor. I spent many, many calls and emails trying to resolve this problem, but the staff were very unhelpful and I now have a brand new product that I cannot use.
Received faulty product - a nightmare trying to resolve
I received a faulty headset from The Telecom Shop. They have not been willing to assist me - simply referring me to Plantronics. Plantronics informed me that place of purchase would usually assist their customers especially if it’s within 30 days of purchase. I purchased less than 7 days ago. Thankfully Plantronics are helping me knowing that The Telecom Shop are unwilling. After sales support - very poor! I’m attempting to get my 14-day money back guarantee - but am still advised I need to replace product direct with Plantronics. They will not accept the return of the faulty product. What store does that!
Deceptive seller. Promote as in stock when it isn't.
Like many other buyers I chose to purchase from The Telecom Shop because they had stock. After a week of no movement I called to get tracking and they told be they'd email me back the next day with the tracking details. Of course they DIDN'T have stock, and so after not receiving an email from them I had to demand immediate shipping or a refund. 48 hours later I finally have a refund. Deceptive seller with extremely poor communication.

I made an order for an item 2 weeks ago and I still haven't received it, yet the amount has been fully deducted from my credit card.
The company doesn't appear to have any good tracking system so you can view order status.

"In Stock" Not all it Seems...
"In Stock" Not all it Seems... I found the product at the right price and it was "In Stock". My delivery address is 90 minutes from their office. I ordered and paid. When the product didn't arrive after a few days I made enquiries. I'm told it's 4-8 weeks away before delivery. Even that might be ambitious. Does 'in stock' actually mean 'in another warehouse in another country'? Can't blame the Covid-19 for everything. They offered me an alternative brand however it's not what I'm looking for. That's a disappointing start to our trading relationship and I'm feeling very let down. The product is showing 'in stock' on the website 24 days after the order. I hope this gets resolved pronto.
Had some COVID-19 issues but they resolved it.
There were a number of issues with the order but these were probably due to COVID-19 craziness. My case was reviewed at a higher level in their company and ultimately I’m very satisfied with the outcome. Once they realised their mistakes, they made every effort to sort it all out.

I ordered a tip for a charger for my laptop in late December after several prompting emails by me I eventually received the wrong item just over a month later. After further communication I gave up on them and took the wrong sized item directly to the supplier and swapped it for the correct one. I wouldn't deal with them again.
