Do not buy - these vouchers have an expiry date and there is no grace period unlike that given by many other businesses at the moment. You might as well just burn cash instead... Also terrible custom... See more

Wish I could give zero stars

Wish I could give zero stars - I had a gift card which when I tried to use it was unable to - the garden centre advised me to contact them direct. They told me that the card was issued almost 3 years ago which is untrue - my friends purchased it in October 2019. The customer service is appalling they do not reply to emails and are basically rude on the phone.
Do not buy from this company - you have a high risk of losing your money.

Absolutely ridiculous and a complete…

Absolutely ridiculous and a complete waste of money! I was given an HTA Garden Gift card for my birthday back in April. I’m self isolating so am unable to spend it in store and all of the garden centres I’ve spoken to are unable to take them over the telephone for a home delivery order. In fact one garden centre has said they won’t be accepting them in the future because HTA deduct 17.5% commission which sounds outrageous!
Needless to say I’ve already asked HTA for a refund which they have refused to do. I’m very unhappy indeed!

Difficult to redeem

I went to my local garden centre, chose what I wanted then waited in the queue for 15 minutes. I was then told that they only accepted paper vouchers, so had to pay on my debit card. I then went to a different garden centre who did accept gift cards, but was told in no uncertain terms that it was my responsibility to check the balance on the card, as it was “like a credit card”???? Utter rubbish. Think carefully before buying these, it seems that garden centres don’t want them!

Don't buy them for anyone you like!

The card ones are very difficult to redeem. Only the most expensive garden centres accept them and not always then , claiming their machine is not connecting / working. I've tried to get them exchanged for paper ones but no response!

Be very careful

Be very careful. My parents bought me a £100 voucher. However my local garden centres (all listed on the garden voucher website ) refuse to take them because of concerns about Coronavirus. Ive phoned the voucher phone number they referred me to another number. No reply. I’ve emailed. No reply. Be very very careful before you buy a voucher.

Watch out the expiry date!

Like all gift vouchers they come with any expiry date, but unlike most vouchers which is 2 years from date of purchase. These vouchers have fixed printed dates on them. So beware & spend them quick, as they point blankly refuse to extend them!

Watch the delivery charges!

Used them a few times for gift vouchers, service is good, but £1.50 delivery charge not so welcome, as you can get free delivery elsewhere on the web, and just as good service.
