I have a 10 year service and maintenance contract with TGE I have just one visit to my property in two years. I have contacted them early this year for a visit all I get is promise, promise but no visit. All they want is to sell storage batteries. My advice is to avoid them like the plague.
Wrong company being targeted with some reviews!
I have no experience of 'Think Green Energy', but from the reviews here, it does look like the 1 and 2 star review writers have selected the wrong company and should have selected 'Think Green Partners', who are on Trustpilot and do cold call you to try and get you to trade in your existing Solar Panel inverter.
I had a withheld number call from a lady last week who insisted it was not a sales call, but just wanted to ask me some questions about our solar system, so I played along and she hung up. I then received another withheld number call from a chap named Jay, who, armed with all the info about our system, gave me all the sales rubbish and told me someone would call round to do a free check on our PV system's inverter. I told him everything was working fine and there was no need for anyone to call round, but I will call him back if I get a problem. He got a little annoyed that I had refused a visit, but I managed to get his company name and telephone number from him.
The company name was 'THINK GREEN PARTNERS'. I telephoned their customer services number and spoke to a lady who also got agitated and very defensive when I explained that I had just had two cold calls from their company trying to get me to change our PV inverter. I explained that we were registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) and that any reputable company would first check with TPS before calling anybody to see if they were permitted to call them. She said that when I received the calls I should have told the callers that they were not allowed to call me as we were registered with TPS, inferring that it was my fault!!!
Anyway I requested that her company reprimand Jay and the previous lady who called me and send them for some re-education.
Had a call today from THINKGREENPARTNERS
Had a call today from THINK GREEN PARTNERS. I doubt very much that this is the same company as Think Green Energy but the search for the company that called me only brings up ThinkGreenEnergy. I suspect that it is related to the TGP as referred to in previous reviews. The telemarketer would not reveal how they got hold of my phone number (ex directory) or how they knew I had panels. They called from a withheld number. Proceeded to flatter me saying I sounded young and other baloney. Wanted to quickly end the call before I started asking questions, I did manage to get her to say they are not salespersons but 'qualified' technicians who come to 'check' the system over and do not try to sell anything. This is the 5th company to offer these free 'checks' of our system and all they do is stand watching the inverter panel and don't touch anything or test anything with any equipment. The company who installed our system wanted £150 call out fee (which did not include any repair or checking over time) to just change the fuse although they did give free advice over the phone. Several hours later have not heard from TGPartners about the technicians appointment. I think I frightened them off LOL. EDIT: I did get a call later from 'manager' Charlie he informed me that my original installers went out of business - not true I spoke to them about 2 weeks ago. He was trying to sell me, in a roundabout way, batteries to store unused energy. The free 'system check' is just a way to get an appointment with you then the hard sell for 'improvements' to your system starts. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE/COVID 19.

Avoid TGP like the plague
Avoid TGP like the plague, only after the money, quoted me £4,500 plus VAT for new inverter and 8 optimisers, as they said system was not working properly. Could not afford that so representative said optimiser would assist inverter. Agreed and paid £2,600 , fitted optimiser and then nothing worked, when I telephoned the Rep and informed him that it was not working, the response was "you need to get a loan and have new inverter fitted." Meanwhile I will speak to my boss and see if I can do you a deal. HAVE HEARD ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and feel that I have been mugged.
I called in another Solar Company they checked and informed me that the system had never been switched back on. My advice to anyone thinking of using TGP of Romford- DONT hang on to your money

I have been phoning think green energy since last year 14 times for someone to come and check our Solar panels and the Worchester Air-Air heat pump been going to voicemail. we do not want the Worchester Air-Air heat pump anymore but we want someone to check our solar panels because it is not making the money back as it should be doing as you told us.I have got 6 years left to pay on my Worchester Air-Air heat pump and the solar panels so what are you going to do about. The Solar Panels was not Earth right and plus It is going to cost us to get it right £1,7000

Stay away at all costs from yet another bandit solar company just interested in there next holiday paid for of the backs of the sick and the vulnerable.
Friends of mine were sold Bosch air-con units later to be told they where cheap Chinese copy’s installed so badly that they where condemned and had to be removed.
Just another bunch of dirty lying cheating toe rags leeching of the back of decent hardworking people.

Obtained an appointment with me by deception
This company pretended that they would visit to assess whether my existing installation was working correctly. I assumed they were from SolarTherm who installed a new invertor last year. When they visited they were not interested in my system, only in selling a further product I didn't want. After they left I realised to my horror that they were from Think Green energy who installed a Solar Plus box 2 years ago which didn't work. I had to go the small claims court to get a partial repayment of the money I had paid them

Avoid like the plague
My vulnerable elder sister was taken by this firm a couple of months ago for £2,500 for a voltage optimiser. She doesn’t remember how they got in touch, and just understands that without this white box the size of a fuse box the voltage in her house “might be dangerously high”. Utter nonsense and a total rip-off. How do these people sleep at night? My next step is to contact Trading Standards....

Voltage optimizer installation
They said a voltage optimizer would reduce energy consumption by 20% so we had one fitted and after two years has not made the slightest difference. They do keep phoning us even though we told them not to

Something smells fishy!
A “gentleman” from Think Green rang the home where I work. He wanted to speak to the owner. She was unavailable and I told him that I am the Carer and he could speak to me. He said that he needed to talk to the owner, as the solar panels were fitted in 2011 and needed to be checked. I told him that they were fine and he rudely asked what my qualifications were for saying that. I informed him that they were working and that if they did break down, my Client’s son would ring someone to have them fixed. I said goodbye and rang off.
His number was ‘witheld’ and when I looked for contact details of the Company, I got a number that was ‘not recognised’ and I sent an email to the Company to ask them to stop calling as it distressed my Client who has just lost her husband.
The email was undeliverable and bounced back.
I wonder how sound this Company is?

They constant bombard me with phone calls, although I have told them that I am not interested and cannot afford anything. They also call with a withheld number, so not the best way to start a sales conversation. They also say that a person with just do a survey and not sell you anything. This I believe not to be true. Be aware this company should be kept well away frompeople.

Terrible Company
Think Green salesman called at my elderly father's house saying the company who installed his solar panels were no longer trading and the existing equipment needed work carried out which would provide a 5 year guarantee. The salesman took a cheque there and then for £200 and the work to be done was quoted as £2,000. My father could not afford this and cancelled the work within a few days of the quote. This was in January and the company has not returned my fathers money and they will not respond to my telephone calls or emails. I have called a number of times and I am told someone will call me back the same day. The advisers answering the calls are not able to tell me who I am to speak to and they don't know the complaints process. They have my fathers money, he is on a small pension as my mother passed away and the salesman clearly was quite charming and managed to get my father to part with his money there and then.

I had an advisor come round from TGP…
I had an advisor come round from TGP and he told me that the company that had fitted the solar system had ceased trading were rubbish. After that he checked the 3 years old system and told me that it was second hand and on it's way out. I rang the inverter company who told me that it was new when it was fitted. I am told that this is the way some of these companies work. Not to be trusted . If it's not broke don't fix it.

this is one company to stay well clear of.the salesman is all over you at the start, promising that by upgrading your solar panels to solar edge you will instantly benefit both financially and economically, well he certainly convinced us with his sales pitch most of which was a load of rubbish, once the have your money they don't want to know you.i was given a total price by the salesman of which he told me that it included 5% VAT.3 weeks later i received my invoice/receipt this had VAT at 20% i have tried to contact the company numerous times but nobody is ever available for discussion.i feel totally cheated by this company hence just one star

We had Joe Petrie come round on August 22nd 2017 to sell us a VC unit to go with our solar plus, my partner paid £1,050 deposit, when the engineer came round to fit on Aug 31st, he couldn't as it would be in wrong place. My partner, Mervyn then rang Joe who said he was 100% to blame and would refund the deposit, well despite numerous phone calls and being fobbed off with different stories about people being out of office etc.... he still hasn't got his money back. It's now getting on for 3 months and now court proceedings are now going to be put into place. Never ever deal with this company 😡😡
