Thonk is a great shop and their support is amazing. I had a package stuck in customs with FedEx, and I emailed them (after hours) and got a reply and resolution within 30 minutes. They rule.

Excellent customer support experience from Thonk today! I decided to cancel an order after having second thoughts about having enough time to appreciate it. Owen got back to me next working day and refunded the full amount, despite taking a hit on charges. I've bought kits in the past with Thonk & have always had a great experience, thank you!

I've been using Thonk for many years now and they are my go-to vendor for complete synth DIY kits and components alike. The website is great, the staff/support are friendly and helpful and the service is excellent too. On my most recent order, I accidently ordered the wrong potentiometers, but after reaching out to their support, they were able to correct the error before packing and shipping the order. No hassle or nonsense, just quality service.

We're really lucky to have Thonk, they stock a great selection of DIY products and an excellent service. Recently went out of their way to help when a kit I ordered via them was missing a couple of components.

Absolutely great…immediately replied and gave great advice about getting tech support from a third party manufacturer..so not something they had to deal with, could very easily have just passed it on as not their problem but instead they took the time to write a few emails and really helped…great service

I have never had a bad experience with Thonk. Today I noticed that a kit I had just ordered had a few components missing. Even though Thonk does not pack the kits themselves they contacted me very quickly to let me know that they would send me this missing parts anyway.

I've been buying from Thonk for a number of years and always found them super-reliable. Fast delivery and great communications. In the past couple of months I have had a couple of requests that I think highlight what a great company they are.
I messed up a DIY build and they were kind enough to pull together a partial kit for me so I didn't have to buy the whole thing twice, and then today they have come back in just a few minutes with a response from the manufacturer to another modification question i have.
Would 100% recommend them on price, quality of service and hekpfulness

I ordered a synthesiser kit, but didn't get the other components it needed. So contacted support and they sorted me out with the other bits and combined them with the synth kit in one postal package. Have ordered parts from them in the past, and have always been very satisfied with the service I received.

Ordered some extra knobs for my DFAM and then my Subharmonicon. Great stuff, and great communication and service.
I ended up messing up my second order from. They caught it preemptively and immediately, reached out and asked if I really meant to order what I did, which, of course, I didn’t. Within an hour, the order was updated, the differing money refunded to me, and the order on its merry way through their system.
Oh, and their processing of their orders is superfast too.

Preferred dealer. Yeah. I might buy more stuff from them just in order to support them and because I thoroughly enjoyed dealing with them. :-D

Will at THONK is a consummate businessman running a terrific business. I’ll be buying again, without a doubt.

First, we exchanged numerous emails as I tried to settle on just what I needed to purchase. Will was gracious, informative, and offered useful guidance to this American based on his own experience. No matter how many follow-up questions I asked.

Second, Thonk shipped out quickly and, even crossing the Atlantic and traveling by the lowest cost means, my package arrived in 9 days (from order to arrival) with email notices at each step. I have received more expensive packages from US-based companies with much less certainty about their arrival.

Third: sturdy packaging (a small box, not just a flimsy envelope) and perfect product. Will’s recommended knobs for my mini-synths fit perfectly! They look like they shipped with the original synthesizers themselves.

In all I bought a batch of knobs for 7 synths and I am thoroughly satisfied. As I said, I’m confident there will be more purchases from Thonk in my future.

Thonk has been my go-to Eurorack DIY shop since 2018. With a few orders per year (including kits and parts), I only recently encountered my first issue (receiving one wrong knob color among several ordered). The support team was very helpful, and we quickly resolved it. Kudos to them!

A great essential resource for synth DIY. Service is always fast, with good order progress reports. Very helpful with details, like helping correct an order when I made a mistake with some parts.
All goods are well packed, with recyclable materials. The packing boxes are great for work in progress.
They do very good kits too, 'Plinky' is a standout.
I have been dealing with them for a few years now, and wholeheartedly recommend them as a supplier.
