Have been using Thonk for years. Needless to say they are the lifeblood of the SDIY scene not only in the UK but for a large part of the world. I think the disruption caused by the pandemic has really brought home just how much hobbyists and businesses alike rely on the outstanding and responsible work that Steve and the rest of the Thonk crew do.

Thonk went far out of their way twice to help me get the parts I needed in special scenarios which is stellar and gracious. Despite covid issues putting a lot of pressure on their business I was getting very quick email responses - much appreciated and will be back for more soon

I got the DFAM-Knob-Upgrade from Thonk the other day. When I opened the package, I noticed that one of the larger knobs was missing its typical round silver plate, must have fallen off before shipping. I informed Thonk Support about the faulty knob, and within just a few days, a replacement knob was on its way – completely free of any charge, of course!

When you buy from Thonk, it doesn't feel like a purchase from corporation, it's more like meeting up with a fellow enthusiast who has something new and cool to share. They are a foundation pillar of the DIY community, not just in the UK, but around the world.

Prices are incredibly reasonable, and they even include free express delivery on orders above a certain value, even to me here in Los Angeles.

Customer service is ace - they will bend over backwards to do what it takes to make things right.

Have been using Thonk for years now - the whole team are great. Friendly, knowledgeable and flexible. I’ve got a tendency to ask annoying questions/special orders, and they always sort me out brilliantly. Fantastic company, highly recommended for any synth DIY needs.

I had a very uncanny feeling reading the previous reviewer's comment, as it so closely mirrors my own experience of this unethical company that i could have written it nearly word for word. I'm glad to say that i wasn't subjected to uncalled-for penalising behaviour from them for anything like the length of time nor degree that the other chap was, and am very sorry to hear he had to endure that, but it was not pleasant to face nevertheless, and certainly stressful to deal with. My case was resolved by a third party at my behest after i made numerous attempts to avoid having to take that course of action, and i have little doubt that had it not been possible to use impartial arbitration may well be ongoing.

Buyer beware - this company thinks it has the right to lay down the law, and they don't like being told otherwise.
