UPDATE:THRIVE TRAVEL read my review and I finally got a respond? BUT?? They just made incorrect claims….they clearly spent no time looking into the actual dialog (wall in the string of emails!!)I reached out daily because I was trying to salvage return flight and didn’t want to purchase and have double tickets.
THRIVE TRAVEL last message was they were looking into it with the airlines and didn’t answer my daily requests for the next 4-5 days.
I have changed dates with airlines in the past and NEVER been canceled to doing so…they move the dates.
Errors happen! It is so unfortunate when a business’s customer service then tries to cover them up. From the get go I clearly my error on my end and understood it would cost me 50% (the flight I missed). In the end 100%. They canceled my return and opened the seat up for another customer (getting paid twice if they sold it) On the other hand Thrive’s customer service makes an error and still made 100% while still misinforming folks on my review.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:I made an error on my departure date while trying to schedule a last minute time to visit my 86 year dying mother in law (stage 4 cancer in 4 places). Instead of leaving in a week I pressed the following day. They don’t immediately approve reservations. MIne was approved at 330am and the plane was leaving at 8 am. NO text, no boarding tickets, no seating given. Just the 330am notice followed by a email stating I missed my flight.(when I discovered my error)
Customer service was emailed and I heard nothing for hours. Hunted down a phone number and they understood, said they would do what they could (very kind) Day 2 I received a email and they said I lost the first half because we where a no show. They said the carrier was reviewing the case?? I contacted them daily for 6 days following our discussions and NO ONE responded. $800 lost!! They knew my circumstances and held out responding. (We had no idea if they would move out date or if we were about to buy another ticket)…terrible stress during a very stressful time.
I’ve never used them before and will never use them again. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever received from any one in the travel business. They may be great if nothing goes wrong but if a human error happens they don’t care ….one and done!

I received very communicative emails and follow-ups to my booking. There was a slight issue with my credit card that was quickly resolved. Great service.

Very bad. Cannot be reached by phone, chat or email when you actually need the help!!

Very non-transparent practices. Booked from Spain to US, they added a random trip to Norway? Not able to reach anyone. Perhaps they will get you a discount but you will pay in stress and time.

They deliberately advertise low business class fares on platforms like Kayak, etc. I booked through their website - they charged the fare immediately but even after the entire day no updates from them and no ticket was issued. Then after waiting a while, I call them and they tell me the fare is not available and the next available fare is 5x the initial fare quoted. Let's just say for the sake of argument that the fare was real and expired, then why did you charge the credit card? Card is not supposed to be charged until ticketing. Also they never even bothered to inform me until I called. Now I need to wait 5-10 business days for the "refund" to be posted on my credit card. This website is a scam - don't fall for the great reviews here - they're all fabricated. If they can advertise low fares on Kayak, then for sure they can make up false reviews. STAY AWAY!

They have been a huge waste of my time.
I have gotten none of the tickets I have attempted to buy. It takes hours to find out you did not get the ticket. The status comes back as an "availability issue" meaning they could not get the ticket they are advertising.
When I can get an agent (but only via chat) they explain that they could not verify my card and that they can not give me any insight into what the problem might be. I check with the credit card company and no inquiries, no transactions or attempted transactions. They verify that there is no fraud alerts and the card is not locked.
What is the problem? I think that the cheap tickets are not actually available. It's a scam to get you to visit the site. They are just blowing smoke.
Don't waste your time pay a little more and actually get a ticket anywhere else.

I booked a trip from Chicago to Paris for a great fare however, Thrive added 2 more flights to my account without my permission. I dealt with Kaylene, she was great, but I was not comfortable with this company adding flights in our names. Kaylene kept saying they add these flights to keep costs down.
We still within the 24 hours so I cancelled and got a full refund. When I called American Express to dispute these charges, the agent said they get a lot of complaints about this company.
Do yourself a favor and book flights directly through the airlines!

I had a family emergency and needed to get my child home from London. I accidentally booked her two flights on different dates. The support lady at Thrive was so patient and helpful in getting the situation resolved. A world of difference from other third party booking companies! I will definately look to Thrive for booking flights in the future.
