Hi Lucius,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us.

We understand that it can be a bummer to have to pay service fees, and we would like to explain why we charge these service fees. To help keep buying and selling safe and fair on our platform, we charge a fee as compensation.

If you sell a ticket, we charge a 5% service fee. There's a minimum service fee of €1.50. And if you’re buying a ticket, there’s a 7% service fee. We also charge a 3% transaction fee for each payment any buyer makes. There's a minimum service fee of €1.50. This makes sure we can provide a safe and fair ticket marketplace and keep a great standard of support for all our fans.

We hope this answers your questions and clarifies why we charge these fees. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our support team is always ready to help you.

Kind regards,
TicketSwap.

Disgraceful experience with TicketSwap - absolute scandal

I sold genuine tickets through their platform, followed their process in good faith, and was still treated like I had done something wrong. The buyer himself said they were stopped before even reaching the scanners because of an ID check. In other words, there was no proof at all that the tickets were fake, invalid, duplicated, or technically unusable. Yet TicketSwap still reversed the sale and made me pay.

What is truly outrageous is the total lack of fairness and respect in the way they handled it. Zero consideration for the seller, zero balance, zero seriousness. They simply decided the seller must be guilty and pushed the cost onto me. That is not support. That is lazy, one-sided case handling.

Even worse, their final message referred to “evidence produced by XXX” when the buyer in this case was not even the good one. That kind of mistake is embarrassing and makes it look like they barely even reviewed the file properly before taking money from me.

My impression is that TicketSwap is perfectly happy to present itself as a trusted platform, but when there is a dispute, they can be careless, dismissive, and completely unfair. I found the handling of this case shameful.

Hi Thibaut,

Thank you for sharing this review with us.

After reviewing your sale, we can see that you have sold personnalised tickets. Here is an explanation on why we decided to refund your buyer.

Going through the listing and our policies, the key point here is how we define a “valid” ticket in practice. We treat a ticket as valid only if the buyer can use it directly at the gate after purchase, without needing any additional action.

In this case :

- There is no clear indication in the listing that the buyer would need to take extra steps.
- More importantly, the tickets require post-sale dependency, such as personalisation, name change, or contact with the seller

That means the buyer cannot reliably access the event at the moment of delivery.

Our T&Cs require that the buyer must be able to access the event. If that depends on actions after the sale, that access is not guaranteed, so we consider the ticket not valid for the buyer.

Even if a seller claims they were unaware, the responsibility remains with the seller to understand any restrictions and only list tickets that are directly usable by the buyer in the normal flow.

We hope this explains the situation a bit better and explain why we ask you to refund your buyer in this case.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at info@ticketswap.com.

Kind Regards,
TicketSwap.

The seller misrepresented the ticket…

The seller misrepresented the ticket type. She listed it as a middenplein ticket when in fact it turned out to be a first verdeiping ticket. Now the person that I am going to the concert with will be in an entirely different section than me.

Easy to navigate and understand…

Very easy to navigate and understand the functions of the app. Seems safe and trustworthy. However, charges a high transaction/extra fee when you sell your tickets, so that's too bad that you seem to need to choose a lower price than you actually purchased your tickets on.

Hi Lija,

Thank you for sharing this review with us.

We are sorry to read that you had frustration due to a purchase on our platform.

After reviewing the situation, we can see that you bought one ticket for the price of one. Your seller indeed was selling 4 tickets in total but the price you saw in your cart and on the listing in the price for 1 ticket. If you wanted to purchase 3 tickets, you had to click on the + button when in your cart, then the two other tickets would have added up in your cart and the price would have also triple.

In the future, if you have any question, please feel free to reach out to us, we'd be happy to help.

Kind Regards,
TicketSwap.
