A leap of faith that paid off
It was a bit of a leap of faith placing such a large order from a company out of the country--especially if you believe "if something seems to good to be true, it probably is." However, thanks to the great communications from Irene--from the day I placed a sample order to the day I received my entire order--my mind was put at ease. The process was very smooth and easy, and I'm thrilled with the gorgeous tile I received--from Italy to Ohio--at a great price.

I very recommend this company
I very recommend this company, we ordered the tiles from Italian producers to Poland. It was very positive experience: very constructive, timely and friendly support from a local assistant Victoria. I was very glad to find out such a good trader with possibility to order some probes of the tiles at first. The trader provides variety of products from enormous list of producers while limited types of tiles are presented on the local market with very restricted colour plaiter. So it was exceptional lucky to find Tile Expert company which organises delivery from different suppliers (we ordered tiles from 3 different producers). At the same time the price for tiles is compatible with local offerings. So I am absolutely satisfied with this trader, its services and with the products.

Working with Tile.Expert made importing beautiful tile such an easy process. The communication I received was great, they took care of all the work with customs, and my tile arrived earlier than expected from Italy.

After making the order I was contacted…
After making the order I was contacted buy a guy responsible for delveries in my country. I needed to adjust the delivery time (to set it one week later than DHL wanted initially) and after an exchange of emails with the guy the delivery time was changed as I needed. Great to have more interesting tiles available in my remote Belgian town.

Well I ordered some times . Thought the price was good since reeds has closed down which had the best price. Anyhow I ordered the tiles and paid a lot of money and two weeks later sent the custom and fedex bill of 400 pounds ridiculous . It wasn’t mentioned on the website that I would have to pay customs . I was going to purchase more tiles from

But after this experience I so reluctant and so annoyed.

Due to Brexit, VAT is not included in the price for orders delivered to the UK. This tax, 20% of the total order value including shipping, is payable to the carrier when the goods arrive in the UK. This information is shown in the shopping cart in red just below the total amount, included in our email confirmations, and also explained on our website: Customs Clearance in the UK of the Tiles Purchased from Tile.Expert.
During our call and email correspondence you mentioned that the tax charged was around £75, which corresponds approximately to the standard 20% UK VAT on your order value. We asked if you could share the invoice from FedEx so we could double check the charges for you, however we have not yet received it.
We would be very happy to review the invoice and clarify everything if you are able to send it to us. Our team is always here to help and ensure everything is clear.
