The vinyl arrived promptly after dispatch notification. The plastic sleeve was split on 2 sides probably due to vinyl rattling around in box during transit but vinyl not damaged at all.

Royal Mail lost an expensive deluxe...

Royal Mail lost an expensive deluxe edition I'd ordered from Townsend Music. I will receive a refund from Townsend Music but I will never be able to lay my hands on the deluxe edition of the record I ordered. The share value of the record is worth way more to me than the refund I will be getting.

I do think it's strange that they offer limited editions of records without ensuring that the customers who ordered them actually receive the products before they run out of stock.

We understand how frustrating it can be to have items be lost in the post, which understandably is a rare occurrence and not something we can control. However, I can see that when you contacted our team, all replies were sent to you within our timescale of 1 working day.

As this was a limited item that was ordered, there was no more stock available to offer a replacement, but a full refund of all costs was sent to you and you confirmed you had received this.

We do take on board all feedback, and we are looking at ways we can mitigate others feeling this way when parcels are lost with the postal service.

BOUGHT A £200 VIP TICKET AND RECEIVED NOTHING

It's been over a month and I still haven't received any details of the gig on this coming Friday. I tried emailing them and contacting them via live chat, could not reach any real people, and kept being sent automated messages!! At this point it feels like this company is a scammer if I haven't ordered albums from them in the past.

Amazing customer service

Royal Mail lost an expensive deluxe edition I'd ordered from Townsend Music - Veronika worked tirelessly to investigate and organise a replacement which thankfully arrived without issue. Customer service, communication, organisational and efficiency skills were all top rate - she's a credit to an already excellent company, and a pleasure doing business with her :-) A+++++++

Not all of my order arrived, but when I let the team know Veronika sorted it out extremely quickly and I got the item within 2 days, in time for the event, which made my night :)

Well I have waited long enough with no…

Well I have waited long enough with no response. What people are saying about the bad or no response is true as I have suffered it.
Order 5108032 got a response but not the one that I wanted. The Alan Parsons Project - Tales Of Mystery And Imagination Edgar Allan Poe Print Free. Which I received being one of the first 500 to place an order on the box set. Was a bit disappointed that the limited addition album number was miles away from the poster number. Album 1912/2000 poster 377/500. I was informed in Townsends music response that they just picked albums randomly to be fair to all customers. Just does not make any sense to me.
Now I am waiting for another purchase order 5095187 that has been in limbo since the 5th of March. A label was created tracking number 1ZE7749D6803951731 then cancelled new label created tracking number 1ZE7749D6803758969. When you click on the view button on their web page it takes you to the UPS web site and you are informed that UPS doesn’t have your parcel yet. Estimated delivery date will be available as soon as we get the parcel. Which I have had to suffered since I started checking on the 5th. I have sent 2 emails asking why there is a delay with no response. You are left feeling like purchases from Townsend music are totally out of your control and down to their discretion on what you get and when you get it with no recourse or thought put into orderly distribution. Their response on here to negative feedback seems to equate to no order number no tracking number. I have submitted them and my review is in response to your lack of communication in regard to this delay.
Update today 30th March. Their website states that 5108032 is compleat and a return icon is available. How can i return the Roger waters redux signed limited addition when i have not received it and the UPS Courier web site is still stating that it has not received the parcel yet. Still no communication from them but i am still receiving subscription emails on new products. I don't want to cancel but if i did that option is no longer an option for that purchase. So i can only presume that Townsend music thinks i have the item even though the courier has not recieved the item to take it to me

Second update 31/03/25 I have received a response that said
I'm sorry to hear this, and I have arranged for another to be sent out from our offices as soon as possible, but please note that it can take our dispatch department 1-3 working days for this to be sent. You will receive an email to confirm once this has been dispatched for your records. No explication but sincere apology added. I don’t know how they are going to send another one as there are none available on the website as I have just checked. I assume that the original item has gone to someone else this just reinforces what other customers are saying about Townsend music's behaviour when they get it wrong. I have requested a more detailed explanation and information on what I will be receiving.

1st April 25 Third and final update received a message from Trust pilot informing me that Townsend music has requested more information so they can reply to my negative review. All the information is supplied in this review so I don’t know why they need me to supply it. Just waiting to see if they are going to put their hand's up and take responsibility for me not getting the original item that was earmarked for me. Received an email today 2nd April 25 confirming what I will be receiving the standard box set not the signed box set and not the original box set that was designated for me that is out there never to be in my home. Ahh well what can you do. I have unsubscribed from future emails and unfortunately this will be the last thing I buy from Townsend Music.

Great Service

Excellent service.

A long dated pre release. Shortly before it was due to be sent I realized I would not be here to receive it. I was delighted that so close to shipment I could still change the delivery address. The record came in an innovative single piece cardboard sleeve that gave good protection to the disc inside. Absolutely delighted with the service.

Exclusives are great,postage too expensive

TMR are excellent at providing items that I want and look forward to their exclusives.What dissuades me from buying more and experimenting is the cost of postage which by far is the most expensive from rival companies.Stasher accounts or loyalty discounts would be great.
