100% scammers use this site pushed and pushed for VI paper to buy my car ...dont use ppsr is the same thing
asked by a prospective buyer from gumtree to get a report from this site, quite insistent.
i reluctantly tried to oblige but thankfully westpac declined my card 3 times. I sent him a message to tell him and got ghosted.
Scam
Trusted esier and secure site for inspection of vehicles bikes carvans etc
How is this site still running its a scam? Someone messages you and sees if your happy to get a report and if you tell them no to it they start getting pushy and rude.
Mode of operation is that a buyer will tell you they will buy your car for the amount wanted, as long as you get a Vehicle check from truegearaus - which costs more than the equivalent from VicRoads. As stated elsewhere, the buyer will disappear, having increased their sales, and provided nothing of extra value, I expect.
Website looks very legit even shows up as secure. Unfortunately opted for the $45 report only to realise the whole set up is a scam. Got a report but someone got my card details and address. Buyer instantly gone quiet and I have now reported to ACCC Scam Watch. I have now cancelled the credit card associated with transaction.
Had two people from this company text me at the same time told me they would only by my car if I purchased their vin check very fraudulent. Do not use.
Tried to get me to buy a report - claimed his mechanic wanted this site. Lucky I saw the other reviews - Will report the fraud - hopefully the site is shut down in next week or so. Poor & innocent people will fall for this scam.
Same as other reviews this is a complete scam I got done by another potential buyer with the website vehicleregohistory dot com...and a person saying I had to get the VIN from this site top gear Aus.
My spidey senses didn't kick in and I found it weird but I stupidly bought the $90 report from other site. Have messaged both buyers at 2am as it's taken me about 3 hours after finishing work late, to get to the bottom of this. have also filed a scam watch report with ACCC. Man where is safe these days. A@$#holes. Stay away Stay away -
Scam, they pretent as a buyer and want you to do a report. Don’t do it.
Scam - you get a text from someone keen on buying your advertised vehicle requesitng a vehicle history check report then they suggest this web address, you order the report which is no better than the $2 legitimate version from the PPRS website in australia. Once you've paid you dont hear anything more from your prospective buyer. Based in UK
