Didn't even call out the names, waiting for half hour with crying babies, no sense of urgency or customer care.

Nowt wrong with the company if they quit using Yodel for deliveries. See my review of that bunch of cowboys

I was in Smyths Carrickmines tonight, it was very busy in the run up to Christmas and there was a few things I couldn't find. A young man called David (from the lego section) was so helpful, despite being really busy himself took the time to show me where each individual item was. He was so knowledgeable and is an absolute credit to the store. He made, what should have been a stressful Christmas dash into a pleasant shopping trip, the only downside was I ended buying more than intended!! Thank you David from lego, keep up the great work. Happy Christmas 🎄

I rang 3 different stores in Tralee and Cork today just to see had they an item in stock and not a single time did they answer the phone, extremely disappointed by this customer service not acceptable service leading up to Christmas, thankfully a more local toy store were more than happy to accommodate my needs. Christmas is saved !

The courier that Smyths use are shocking. They are called Fastway Couriers. They were unable to deliver a Smyths delivery to an address with an eircode supplied. Ignorant driver rang me at 8.30pm at night to deliver the delivery. Asked him to leave it as the gate so he wouldn't disturb my elderly mother. He hung up on me and wouldn't answer the phone. Didn't deliver package.
On the tracker, it says that the house can't be found yet An Post and DHL can find the house no problem.

I bought an X shot gun for my grandson which did not work . I returned it to the Waterford store and got a refund with no problem

If I could give zero stars I would. This place NEVER answers the phone (Blanchardstown branch). I wanted to get a bike fixed twice under warranty- on both occasions they made me wait days for simple repairs. On the second occasion I went before 10am on Saturday and was told it would be Tuesday before they could look at it as their mechanic was off for the bank holiday weekend. At least they told me to have a nice day as I left visibly annoyed ( seems sarcasm doesn’t take the bank holiday off unlike their single mechanic). Just avoid them and go to somewhere where they might value your custom.

I am blown away by the great customer service I received. I am due my second baby, and after discovering I had lost the car insert from my first Childs newborn car seat I contacted customer service. I was only taking a chance if they had any spare inserts that I could get as the car seat was part of a travel system. They got back to me instantly and within 3/4 hours had located an insert and were sending it to me. It arrived on the Friday two days after I initially emailed. I am so glad I have purchased all my baby items, Birthday and Christmas items here over the last few years. I dealt with Maeve in Customer service and she was so efficient.

We bought a Xbox X from Smyths, the product developed a fault so we brought it back to the shop, they kept the item for two weeks and told us it was fixed. Five minutes after getting home it began to develop the same fault, we went back to the same shop in Athlone and they didn't want to know, we then brought it to their Galway shop and they were even less helpful, they even said "I will help you if I want or I won't if I don't want to". We contacted customer service who told us it was a Microsoft problem and I had to contact them.
I refused to contact Microsoft as I had bought the item from Smyths and not Microsoft. All of the Smyths employees insisted I contact Microsoft and when I mentioned this was a breach of consumer law they insisted that there internal terms and conditions superseded both Irish and European law, this is not the case, their terms and conditions mean nothing.
If you have an issue with Smyths do not believe what they tell you, check out your rights on ccpc.ie or if you email them at ask @ ccpc.ie they will come back to you very quickly with very good advise

I ordered several items on clearance and chose to collect them from Athlone. The order was ready for collection in a few hours after I placed it. Collecting the order was quick and I received everything I ordered.

Blanchardstown smyths. i bought and order playstation 5 to this store. Then i recived the sms about my colection "Your order Xxxxxxxxxx is ready for collection at Smyths Toys Dublin Blanchardstown. Order will be reserved for 2 days. Please bring photo ID." I was in that store today for my stuff unfortunately ny phone battery die when i arrived to the shop. I inform the staff about my problem and that was what i hear " it is not our folt" i had my photo id with me, playstation 5 was fully payd and i back without my playstation . Serious smyth store customer care under 1 point. return my 469,99€. i never back to smyths store.

I just want to say that as a cleaner of Smyths they really need to keep their disabled toilets in proper check, I was in yesterday morning to work my shift and with another two cleaners, the toilet was out of order and the other cleaner had the key to open the door to go in to see to the issue, and what I saw was absolutely vile disgusting, I had to walk away as my stomach was anything but good, I won't use language on here but it was everywhere z all over the top of the toilet all on the walls and on the pipes along side the toilet, yes really hygienic to leave like that one of the other cleaners couldn't go in either as he was weak stomached as well, so lucky one of the 3 of us was able to handle it, I think that's the worst I have seen any toilet that I have cleaned and in my 3 year's of been a cleaner, im sure that something could have been done instead of leaving it in that condition to us to deal with, as cleaner's they really do get taken for granted, and it's then an " ah sure leave it, the cleaners will sort it when they come in" this is no excuse to put us in that situation, just because we are there to do out job doesn't mean you can leave it there, I hope I never come across this again, I was almost sick when I seen it , sort your system out.

Joke of a company cancel orders 3 days before Christmas and still I haven’t received my refund.. Emailing and have been contacting the customer service and no replies.. Go into the shop and the staff are rude and don’t want to help think they can get away with taking peoples money and not refunding will be taking this further

Today December 27th when children who have received Smyths gift cards for Christmas, not one store can accept them, having traveled to two stores, ( the first, Tallaght, had a notice at the entrance) the second Fonthill had a member of staff engaging with customers to inform them. This young man was very polite and engaging, he had a difficult task as some customers frustration did boil over.

Smyth's not honouring their vouchers in Ireland, saying it's a computer glitch which is just bullshít.

It's Christmas eve I'm putting together my sons bike and the front wheel does not belong to the bike RoyalBaby is the make. My son is Autistic thanks for ruining Christmas day. I will be in Athlone on Wednesday and God help the Management team when I get there.

I ordered a bike for my daughter for her santa present on their click and collect got a message it was ready got to shop bike was not available told to come back when I receive contact from manager received a message come and collect bike was not ready I did not really mind the manager told me not to worry the messages were automated just to wait till I get a call before I left the store I asked him would it be cancelled as this is their policy I explained that i would not be able to get a bike if they cancelled it he assured me that the bike would be available in 2 days and it would not be cancelled then I left arrived 2 days later everything was fine had the bike at the door doing the final bike check they do just about to sign warrentee and leave all of a sudden the manager is asking me to pay acting like he had no idea wat was going on started talking like a machine it's store policy to cancel all uncollected items I got upset raised my voice I could not believe what I was hearing from this person like an episode of the twilight zone thanks smyths you have destroyed my child's Christmas.
