Brilliant service, quick response. Would recommend.

I sent in my Apple iPad Mini (2021) based on an initial quote of £152. After they received it, they revalued it down to £115, claiming minor issues.123

When I declined their revised offer and asked for my device to be returned, I was suddenly hit with a £10 administration fee to get my own property back—a fee that was not made clear or transparent beforehand. Holding a customer's device hostage with unexpected return fees is poor practice. I would advise others to look elsewhere when recycling their electronics.

Was given a quoted amount of £129 for my iPhone 13 even though I told them it was broken so I was a bit sceptical. Didn’t hear back for 2 weeks and then when I did they told me that my battery was bad and my screen had scratches. Even though id told them it was broken and so I got a revised price of £45.

Valued my phone at 60 pounds iPhone 11 after waiting nearly two weeks they came back with a revised amount of ten pounds phone was fine maybe a new battery which for a recycled phone is expected cost 5 pounds to return it they don’t list that on there site so basically I’ve been ripped off and many others like me avoid this rip off merchants am sure you can sell your phone elsewhere don’t get mugged off like me you’ve been warned

Excellent service. Was quick to answer all my question and helpful.

Offered £88, received £35. Reasons given:

1. Battery health 69%. Whilst I can't argue with this, it would be a lot more helpful to request customers check battery health in settings and tell TYP as part of the process, so TYP can offer a more accurate estimate immediately rather than massively disappoint customers.

2. Screen scratches (practically non-existent, took pictures before I sent phone, I still can't see them and never noticed when I had it).

I don't have the time or patience to mess around with rejecting the offer, receiving it back and doing the whole process with someone else, so accepted the revised offer. It's just left a bitter taste in my mouth, won't use them again.

To provide a balanced review though, returns package arrived within a few days, helpful reminders were sent, instructions were clear.

Quoted for my iPhone 12 Pro, which I sent in based on that valuation. They then reassessed it and refused to honour the quoted price.
I rejected the revised offer and asked for my phone back, but they are refusing to return it unless I pay an administration fee.
I have tried to resolve this directly but have got nowhere. I am now taking the matter further legally.
Very disappointing experience. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company.

Please don't give these cowboys your phone.
They will initially offer a decent price, but when they receive your phone you will get a revised offer stating there is damage to your phone.
My phone was in perfect condition with no marks at all on it as it had been in a case and had screen protection on it from the moment i bought it but they are claiming it's got scuffs on it and reducing the price offered dramatically!
i refused the new offer and now they are ignoring me. Can't help feeling aggrieved/scammed and don't know if I'm even going to get my phone back!

This is a con! Under no circumstances should you use these criminals! They quote a price then try to rip you off!! Don’t trust them!

Can't help but feel I've been scammed here. Initially offered a decent price, postage package received promptly but then price offered reduced by nearly 50% due to 'weak battery' - something their 'technicians' noticed. Reduced sum received promptly but can't help feeling aggrieved.

Easy to get a quotation and they are quick to send out postage packs. That was all very straightforward. Original quotation £123 but got revalued at £83 as reported battery life was weak, even though the phone would comfortably last 2 days. The phone was in excellent condition been in a case from day one and perfect screen. Going for £150- £180 on ebay. I refused the revaluation and it was very slightly increased. I decided to go ahead only to avoid hassle of receiving it back and getting it sold on eBay. I might consider using them another time but not sure.

I have sold few iphones to different companies some transaction was positive, some wasn't, when it wasnot sold the company return the phone free of charge. TYP charging £5.00 calling administration fee. I found out later by reading their policy, still think it is day time rubbery.

⚠️ Very disappointing experience with Trade Your Phone

I sent my Pixel 6 to Trade Your Phone after receiving an initial valuation of £68.

After receiving my phone, they reduced the valuation to £4, which I rejected. They then offered £6, which I also rejected. Despite me rejecting both revised offers, they still transferred £6 to me.

I never agreed to sell my phone for £4 or £6. I am now trying to get my phone returned.

Very disappointing experience and, in my opinion, extremely poor communication throughout the process. I would recommend anyone using Trade Your Phone to keep screenshots of the original valuation, revised offers and all correspondence.

I hope they resolve this by returning my phone.
