Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the customer service, finding it unresponsive, difficult to reach a human, and often unhelpful with issues like account access or technical problems. Customers also frequently report problems with their subscriptions, including unexpected charges, issues with upgrades, and difficulty canceling. The user experience and website functionality were also major sources of frustration, with many encountering data lags, changes to features that negatively impact trading, and issues with chart settings not saving. Some people were dissatisfied with the platform's service, noting that features became paywalled over time and that the basic version lacked essential functions like real-time data. However, some customers also mentioned that the platform itself is good enough for charting and offers many charts and easy-to-use tools.

I have been trading for 20 years and…

I have been trading for 20 years and never seen worst platform and company like tradingview.
I trade think or swim or MT5. You can set as many as indicators you like without having to nickle and dime. You can st as many as alerts you like without Nickle or dime with think or swim.
Tradingview offer free service to most of the brokers for them to offer tradingview view for free, you can only add 1 and 1/2 indicators, if you want more, you have to pay for it and if you want to set alert, God bless you.
I don't trade with any broker, that have tradingview is only option.
MT5 is definitely by far is the best option.

Big Fraud

An account was created without my consent (fraudulently) by the TradingView team. I’ve reached out to all of their social medias and public contacts with no response. Support is via tickets only and behind a pay wall. I have tried to have my account deleted, but no one seems around to help. Big scam, no support, stay clear.

Absolutely dreadful company

What a shockingly bad application.
Other than the fact there are errors galore on the actual application (desktop or website), subscriptions are expensive (for what you get) along with the fact that their help centre is utterly non existent. You are left to speak to a chat assistant robot. The most basic subscription gives you hardly any indicators and pretty much nothing. Added to that their 'Mind' section is INCREDIBLY authoritarian with moderators telling you off for making an off topic remark about the financial industry or government.

I've asked countless times for a refund for this shocking service but they just ignore you. Once my subscription ends, soon, I'll be leaving this pile of rubbish where it belongs - in the bin!

NO support

NO support, even though I'm a subscriber. A problem which should be simple to solve, I can't find a solution to it. They tell you to go and chill out while they get an answer back. DREADFUL!

Trading View is a Money Grab

On June 3rd, 2025, I participated in a trial for Trading View. I chose the annual fee $178.32 as it was cheaper than the monthly fee. Big Mistake! They charged me on July 4th, and on July 17th, I tried to contact them the usual way, by telephone. They don't have a telephone number available for their customers. So I had to resort to the only possible way to contact them to request a refund, using their Bot. The Bot noted that I wanted a refund, then asked if I would keep the subscription at a reduced cost. I said "no". I again requested a refund, and to all intents and purposes, my request was noted, and should have been processed. Instead, the Bot cycles back later, after you have requested a refund and exited the website, and asks again if you want a refund? Of course, you don't know that this company intentionally cheats you by using this process, since how would you know you have to wait for them to again acknowledge you want a refund? Anyway, no refund. I contacted them again, same process, same result. Note, my initial request was within the 14 day time frame they require, and still no refund. I contacted my bank to file a dispute, and they told my bank they had sent a "return label" but that the merchandise had not been returned! My bank fell for this and denied my dispute. I am on a mission. I want my money back, and I won't stop until I get it. I don't like being scammed, and neither should you. I hope this company goes out of business. That is what they deserve. I tried once last time earlier today, and got this response "Also, users who filed a chargeback or dispute are not eligible for refunds."
See the Bot response below:

"Refunds for annual payments are processed only if requested within 14 calendar days after the payment was made. If you have requested a refund twice and have not received it yet, please ensure that your requests meet these conditions. Note that refunds are not available for upgrades to more expensive plans, monthly plans, or market data subscriptions, even if cancelled on the same day. Also, users who filed a chargeback or dispute are not eligible for refunds. For your convenience, you can check or request a refund by clicking the button below.

Refund request"

They never intend to return your money and make it as difficult as possible to even complete the process.

They stopped respecting their users

I have used TradingView for many years, but now it’s an absolute disgrace.
I paid for a yearly subscription and market data but wanted to change it to one month. I tried to contact support — impossible. No real people, only soulless automated replies. And on top of that, their so-called “support” is paid! This is total inhumanity: they take the money but refuse to help. After such treatment, it’s clear they don’t care about their users at all.

I truly hope people will be inspired by honest negative reviews and create a new, genuinely good product — one where everything is done in a human way.

Terrible service, funnel to pay models

TradingView makes you pay for a plan if you want to access tech support. They allow 1 or 2 indicators max, it is nothing but a funnel to their pay model. Your drawings will be deleted, your watchlists will be fudged, nothing will work right and when you need help you find out -- time to pay for tech support! They do not stand behind their product and neither should you.

I tried to cancelled my subscription on three consecutive years and was still billed on an expired card . Despite emails saying that I'm on a basic plan . Then to contact anyone from trading view directly relating to the refund is nearly impossible

They only want money

I've been using tradingview for a while now but have just now realized all they are after is money. A lot of what the community does is free for them but yet they still have to charge you to use other people features that they made for free so others can use. I have also noticed easy things that are available for most other brokers but tradingview requires an upgraded subscription. I also recently canceled my subscription and am on the free plan now and still they make it so the data is delayed by 5 seconds, why you may ask but its because they want at least some money over just people using them to chart stocks for free. My data subscriptions doesnt end till aug 16th and somehow the data is delayed by 5 seconds which is not right. I wish all these companies couldn't only be after money

When TV first came on the scene it was a nice UI improvement over other competitors, mainly Metatrader which doesn't seem to have a single UI/UX employee.

But execution speeds, as well as the data is bad. And without a premium subscription you only get price updates every 5 seconds. Why? Who knows, seems to be just another basic function of a trading platform that they decided to paywall.

Just use CTrader instead.

Disgusting company Avoid At All Costs

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
Disgusting company, I spent 1 hour explaining to them about 4 tickers that had lost years worth of "data", they eventually turned around and told me it was "Intentional changes" and they could do nothing about it. When I asked for these tickers to be reinstated or do something whereby I could still have use if them with more data like before, they've stopped responding!

This is an ALL PROFIT company with "No Care" for their customers needs! They do not care how it affects your User Experience or satisfaction, they will do what they want when they want, including making drastic/huge changes whether you like it or not.

From personal experience, as a paying customer, I highly suggest you go elsewhere!!! I would not even give a 1* if i could help it.

I have pictured the responses and will be getting in touch with my credit card company seeking a full refund! 😡

Hi TradingView Team,

Hi TradingView Team,

I truly appreciate the incredible platform you’ve built—it’s a great resource for both new and experienced traders. I’d like to suggest increasing the indicator limit on the Free plan from 2 to 3 indicators per chart.

Many beginners are just starting to learn technical analysis and often need to compare multiple indicators to understand how they work together. Having only 2 indicators can be quite limiting, especially when studying essential combinations like RSI + MACD + EMA or similar setups. Even just 1 more slot would make a huge difference for learning and experimentation.

This small change could greatly support the educational journey of new users, reduce friction in their learning process, and encourage deeper engagement with your platform.

Thank you for your consideration!

Best regards,
[Beginner]

The customer service is outright…

The customer service is outright appalling. They've charged my account over $500 for annual membership, then mistakenly cancelled my membership. I cannot get in contact with them as they only offer contact to paid subscribers. The email contact they offer is not used any more, yet they have it listed as it is.

TradingView Refuses Refund Despite Cancellation Within Trial Period

I’m very disappointed with TradingView.

I signed up for their platform on July 27, 2024, and entered my credit card details to activate their 30-day free trial. Despite this, I was charged USD 119.88 for an annual subscription.

I canceled my subscription well within the 14-day period as stated in TradingView’s Terms of Use, which promise a full refund if canceled in time. However, over 30 days have passed, and I still haven’t received my refund.

I have contacted their support multiple times, but I keep getting vague answers and no resolution.

This is completely unacceptable and goes against consumer protection laws. I am now considering taking legal action and filing complaints with consumer protection agencies.

I strongly advise others to be very careful before subscribing to TradingView.
