Too many problems
I bought an esim for Europe and Orange gave me a French phone number. It worked well in Denmark and Iceland as the only the calls my wife and I made was to each other. It didn’t work at all in the Shetland and the Faroe Islands.
The problem started arising when we visited England and started phoning people other than each other. Either nothing would happen or it would ring and the person would answer and the call would be immediately dropped.
Unrelated to Orange specifically was that I would try to check my banking and the bank would send a temporary password to my Canadian phone number which I obviously could not access.
I think in future I will just pay my Canadian cell provider’s roaming fees rather than buy a foreign esim.

Regarding the calling issue in the UK, you always have to add the country code while calling, so we'd really like the opportunity to investigate what happened. Please reach out to us through our live chat or by email with your order details so we can review your case and determine why your calls were disconnecting.
As for receiving a French phone number, this is expected with our Europe plans, as they include a French mobile number for calls and SMS.
We also understand the inconvenience you experienced with your bank's verification messages. Unfortunately, SMS sent to your personal Canadian phone number can only be received on your Canadian SIM card.
We appreciate your feedback and hope you'll give us another opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.

Alice was great - very patient and helpful. However the I found the installation instruction very confusing. The instructions say, don't activate until you are ready to use. But when you go to install your esim and you hit "install" it takes you to a screen that says "activate". Alice convinced me to hit activate and it installed the esim. Hopefully it hasn't started the plan - guess I will see

Disastrous from start to finish
Disastrous from start to finish. First you need to somehow scan a QR code that they send to your phone with your phone. Then it wouldn't activate anyway. Lots of smart young people tried and tried again. Repeatedly, no customer service available by phone. Vacation nearly ruined by this company. DO NOT PAY FOR THEIR ESIM unless you want to be truly miserable.
