Straightforward
Like the ease and simplicity of purchasing the insurance. The price seems reasonable and we have previously purchased. Hopefully we never have to use it, but honestly, last autumn is sure would have been nice to have it during a cruise from Boston to Quebec when I suffered retinal detachment in left eye and retinal tears in right eye. Rough lesson to learn.

She patiently LISTENED to my situation, then carefully and completely answered my questions, never made me feel rushed, gave me time to input changes on the online form and generally lowered my stress level to zero from previous 1000. By the way, after our conversation, I stayed on the line to enter the robot's two questions. When I entered a "5" it didn't move on to the second question, then responded that my input was invalid. Huh? It may be since this was a landline and robot only communicates w/digital realm2026.

Scammers
I submitted all the information for reimbursement and they claim they want more. The cruise ship could not stop at an island due to bad weather. Because of that I could not take the flight I booked to leave the island. I sent them the letter from the captain of the ship and the receipt for the airfare. Travelex claimed that was not good enough. What a scam!

I did not receive any email confirmation after my purchase. I had the confirmation number and the page, but no email was sent despite using two different email addresses. I had to make screenshots of the confirmation page to make sure I had the information.

Travelex has come through for me twice this year: once because I got pneumonia 6 weeks before a European ski trip and once because a flight home from western Canada was cancelled and I had to rebook on a different airline to get home. Very impressed with their service.
