They use contracted surveyors who are one man bands that are on cheap. They redused claims to keep the company happy and get more contracts. Very smart business technique however they leave us in the dark when we need our insurance.
I had storm damage that was on the national warning. They still said the storm was not valid dur to it being 5 mph less then their requirment. Yes your heard me right 5mph less so refused to pay for my damage.
Stay away from this company. When you buy insurance from any company ask them who handles their claims. If they say trinity then dont take it.

I was nervous at first as all online unless a problem occurred ( which it didnt ) I uploaded my ‘proofs of purchase) for the 2 stolen items plus pictures of the damage that was caused plus 1 visit from their windows assessor. I chose to use my own window repairer and Trinity obtained the quote from them and a settlement was agreed in less than 3 weeks from the burglary. I had forgotten to add 1 invoice that I then uploaded and it was added to the settlement immediately Everything was much simpler than I was expecting. Thank you Melinda

The company its self was great but surveyor was trying to not let me get paid out saying he couldn’t see water damage when it was clearly there. But the company sorted this out when I sent my own proof

Very slow to respond, chased for documents that they only had. After making an offer they pursued me for an immediate answer despite having their own response time of 5 working days. Finally the settlement offer was very poor.
Wish I'd used a different insurer and won't be renewing

Initially after a slow start we were impressed with Trinity but after the first phase of work we have been waiting nearly 7 weeks for the second phase to be approved meaning upheaval on our drive and in the garden which is very stressful. Unable to enjoy the garden and staring at oil tanks destroying our lawn, skips, portaloo, holding tanks, a dug up drive and fencing is very depressing for everyone having to see it ( right in view of the village) Messages on the portal are not even being read and I’m regretting signing up with them for another year in light of all this. Awful customer service!
