Plans had unexpectedly changed.
Plans had unexpectedly changed and I needed a place to stay while traveling. From a rest area stop, I was able to book a room through Trivago about an hour out from where I was. Easily able to find and make a reservation online for someplace I had never been. Room ready when I arrived with no problems and worked out well, Thanks for helping me with reservations!

We ended up saving about $70
We ended up saving about $70 on a booking future Vigo compared to Expedia or booking through the hotel itself. We hope to be able to get a king bed, but we were satisfied to have two queens with a possibility of talking to the hotel when we get there.

Double charged
Double charged. Booked a reservation and must have mistyped the email address. Called several times and could not connect without having a booking ID -which I never received. When I did get a representative after several days only by selecting the sales channel, I was then transferred to customer support and they told me there was nothing I could do but dispute it with my bank and rebook. I also chatted with a representative via text who said the same thing.
I gave in called the bank and rebooked, but while I was booking I was redirected to call a sales person who wanted me to verify the property was actually available since she did not see vacancy as I was booking it online.
When I was successful in booking it, she transferred me to a real customer support person to double check the validity.
They did, and the new charge appeared on my credit card. I told the representative what happened and she was - surprise, able to check and found my original booking by searching my name and my current reservation at the very same hotel. Except now I could not cancel or change eithe of the reservations. 2 reservations for the same hotel charged 2x. 3k. They said there was "nothing they could do" . Horrible customer service and the navigation to get help is deliberately complex.
