I got this collar almost 3 weeks ago…

I got this collar almost 3 weeks ago now. The entire time I have spent on calls, emails etc trying to get the collar to work. It doesn't track and in lost mode takes up to 5 minutes to connect. They keep telling me they will escalate it and will get back to me and never do. It says to return it online but then you have to talk to someone to do that. Here I am still waiting on instructions to return and I have to pay for a collar that doesn't work to return it. To correct they said I could go online and buy another one, return the bad one (at my cost) then once they process the broken one they would look at a refund. Every single time its we will escalate then NOTHING!!! ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!

Only good when it WORKS!

Only good when it WORKS!! Problem is when it doesn't there is pathetically poor customer service. If there was room I would send screenshots of the "location" information. It is laughable. At a home across the street and down the block for 12 hours but actually on a 1.5 hour walk. The people who answer the phone can do nothing but "escalate". Don't expect a call back any time soon. GPS location is not accurate often times. If your dog is lost the "lost activator" takes a long time to connect. I think eventually the app will get better but if customer service doesn't improve dramatically and urgently there is no use getting this expensive device. They farm out calls to distant parts of the world and you can hear roosters crowing in the background but help is definitely NOT on the way.

The community aspect is great

The community aspect is great. The step tracking can be misleading if your dog plays a lot because the pedometer mistakes head movement as steps. The GPS isn’t super accurate. Not sure yet if I’ll continue my subscription after the trial; we’re at almost 3 months of use.

Customer support is bad and Series 2 broke a lot

It's kind of nice when it works. Lost mode is slow to activate. But customer service is terrible and the time and money isn't worth it. I recently spent hours over the course of a month trying to get them to help me fix or replace the Fi Series 2 collar. They took my time and eventually said ok, it doesn't work (I KNEW THAT WHEN WE STARTED) and we don't have any more and you're out of warranty. So I can offer you a *discount* on a new collar. I have purchased 3 collars from them, but never again.

Risk free trial included tons of risk

Risk free trial included tons of risk, when attempting to return the collar they try to hit me with return shipping and that I was on the hook if usps lost it, saying I would take on the risk, refused to cancel my subscription otherwise, had to change my credit card number to prevent recharges and they still attempted, do not give this company any money, they use ai for customer service and you’ll get no where, the subscription is next to impossible to actually cancel. On on top of all that they use fake date to sell you supplements inside the app, told me based on my dogs data for 28 days, they recommended a whole range of their supplements, only issue is I only had the collar for a day. GPS kept recording while collar was off

Solid, but needs tweaking.

I have been using Fi for approximately 2 months. I appreciate the geotracking aspects as well as some of the health tracking, which is not as accurate, but it gives a good ballpark figure about what's going on. That being said, I would rate this as 5 stars however the ranking is wholly inaccurate and potentially prone to cheating, so don't take that seriously. As an example--there's no way a French Bulldog can walk over a 175k steps per day, every day, for 28 days consecutively. If they took away the ranking system and added some other function, I would give it 5 stars.

Fi Collar is great

The Fi collar is great. I have enjoyed the peace of mind to locate my pet when I want to check in. The step counter is great to track the amount of steps and encourages walks with my dog. Overall, the item is great.

Monitoring at it's finest

Fi is a great help for me. I only let my dog go out alone first thing in the morning and Fi allows me to monitor his movements. He rarely leaves his home area but it immediately alerts if he does and I can give a whistle for him to return. We enjoy the step counting and are on our third 200+ day streak. It's my favorite weight control method and my dog appreciates the outings. Fi gives me peace of mind.

Best tracking collar and so much more!

Love that we can track our pup's activity level, sleep, steps in addition to knowing when she travels out of her home zone. Gives us great peace of mind that should she get loose, we'll have a greater chance of tracking her successfully. We've had the collar for about 2 months and love it so far.

Tracking is not very good

Tracking is not very good. I ended up getting a “real” gps collar that I use in tandem with the Fi since I paid for a whole year. The “real” gps collar is one second behind my dog at all times (fi is five minutes behind my dog) the “real” gps collar follows him AND me, and works when there is no service and even on airplane mode (fi doesn’t work if you don’t have service and you will get lost, and It just shows where I went, not where my dog went). The “real” gps collar (the one that actually works and follows every step my dog takes) has NO MONTHLY FEE, so I will not be renewing my fi subscription. In fact, I kind of hate Fi because they are making a boatload of money for a product that doesn’t even work well compared to real gps collars that don’t even have a monthly fee. Some people call that a scam, just saying. And that dog Django? With 7million steps in 30 days? Is anyone calling animal cruelty on these people that are making their dog run 230,000+ steps per day every single day??? People don’t like that crap.

Mostly great but walking track info is inaccurate

The walking track information shown is very seldom accurate. Sometimes it is WILDLY INACCURATE! I've spent hours documenting the problems and sending screenshots, verbal descriptions, etc. in to Fi and they cannot get the issue fixed. To their credit, they seem to have tried. But they say the line drawing is a "Third Party App" and they cannot fix it. The "Lost Dog" mode seems to work (they say they do not use the Third Party App for that).
