Used these all the time but since…
Used these all the time but since Halfords took over it’s gone down hill. Ordered tyres to be fitted a week ago and hours before fitting they called to say they didn’t have the tyres leaving me trying to source them elsewhere. Another local company who’s a lot smaller than Halfords had them delivered within 2 hours of ordering so why couldn’t Halfords get them?
I won’t use these again.

My tyres were fitted on Monday by the end of the day one tyre was flat also the fitter could not balance the wheels as balancer was not working so they guessed it took until Thursday to get tyre replaced but again no working wheel balancer it was Friday before wheels were balanced properly 5 days without a car as a pensioner was wrong 5 emails to customer service no real response apart from we have referred it back to the hub almost 3 weeks still nothing

Had a car battery fitted 12 months ago had nothing but problems with it, went out on Friday car broke down had to call the AA out Everything was tested and the battery had completely failed, AA put in a new battery that I had to pay for, got home rang tyres on the drive and they said I should of rang them to make an appointment, I asked if they came out to breakdows answer was no, so how was I meant to ring them, case has now been escalated I was meant to receive a call within 48hrs 4 days later still no call
UPDATE.. I rang them no escalation was put in, emergencies aren't covered apparently, they take £221 and say they AA have to take the new battery out, and they will supply a new one, seems they are now going to collect the battery tomorrow and test it themselves they don't believe the AA report, so they can sell faulty goods and keep your money AVOID AT ALL COSTS .
Update .. waited in appointment between 10 and 12 gets a phone call sorry was meant to pick your battery up but its not on my sheet, sorry wait in again tomorrow ABSOLUTE JOKE OF A COMPANY ..
UPDATE.. tomorrow comes and goes no show again another half hour phone call now have to stay in for the 3rd day and see if someone turns up at the time slot to collect the battery that was sold and faulty that took 3 attempted fitting slots to put in AVOID THIS COMPANY..
Update battery was collected yesterday now they have my money and the battery they still need to test it because my AA report is not enough ...
UPDATE.. Came to fetch battery on Friday got a phone call on Sunday they had the battery on charge overnight and guess what it failed the battery test and they are refunding my money will see how long that takes, so it's took since July the 5th and alot of phone calls and arguing for me to get my money back for faulty goods ..
UPDATE.. 8 days later no refund another phone call now have to wait another 3 to 5 days for it to appear they have my battery and my money still.

I have used tyres on the drive for years...but sadly since they have moved to Halfords...what a mess. They jacked my car up in the wrong spot, nearly tipping the car over and have cracked underneath. I called customer services 4 days ago, sent the photos of the damage and am still yet to receive a phone call. Avoid

No show
We paid for a two hour time slot, which came and passed. I then got a message from the fitter saying I'm running late be with you at 18.05. I'm still waiting a day later the car needed new tyres for it's MOT which has had to be cancelled I am now left with no car for work next week. Phoned to complain no answer just cuts you off, sent a message still no answer. Dreadful experience will never use again.

Cracks not covered under Tyre lifetime warranty
had 4 Goodyear vector all season tyres installed on my vehicle, the services states to include change of standard tyre valves for free.
Having used this a few times from Halfords, i expected a similar service.
Upon seeing a low pressure gauge on my car i checked one of the front tyres which had a 2 inch split around the inner sidewall 1cm away from the allow rim. I looked to inflate the tyres and also found both front tyre valve were completely threaded making it very difficult to get a tyre pump attached.
After querying the crack with the ;customer service' teams on the phone whose phone calls seemed to be set to mute, they stated cracks are not covered under their lifetime warranty.
Not the service I'd expect from Halfords, ill be using a more trusted brand in future

I would give them 5 stars but they never called to say that the fitter was on his way so I nipped to the shop. Lucky it's only down the road and he waited. Very friendly and quick.

I cannot Warn you enough - Avoid at all costs - ordered two tyres run flats after putting my car details in - turns out the run flat tyres didn't fit although an option to select - The tyre fitter who attended was very agitated and told me id need to sign a waiver - even though the tyres could be selected from Halfords site - he then tried to force the tyres on the wheel rim and he damaged the wheel rim all the way around - he informed me he was ripping the new tyres trying to get them on - he then refitted the old tyres - I pointed out the damage to him on the wheel rim and he denied causing it when it was so obvious - I didn't wish to argue with him on the driveway he was very cocky and flippant actually very rude and a bit aggressive so I just said Ill need to report it - I've reported the damage and rearranged to fit non run flat tyres - however I'm now being charged £44 extra - even £10:50 for attended to refit - I've raised a complaint via Zayaan today and will see if this company has any integrity or values - somehow I dont think so - I WILL NEVER GO NEAR ANY HALFORDS PRODUCTS EVER AGAIN - I can only warn you to stay clear of Tyres on the drive if you think anything of you car. This was a very very uncomfortable experience. Ill update you on how this progresses.
Update - my complaint ignored hence cancelled the order guess what it takes 8 days to come back to your bank - ill continue to progress my claim for the damage. Please avoid and go to a creditable tyre company its worth every penny.

8/7/24 11:00 I now have Graham Stapletons e mail address and Exec team which I've mailed - hopefully they will respond - I will keep you informed to see if Halfords take these matters seriously and if they have any care or value to their customers.
8/7/24- Latest update -Tyre fitting Centre manager contacted me and states this is curb damage -it is 100% not curb damage - Appears their Managers and executives and CEO have as little regard to customers cars as their lying tyre fitters.
10/07/24 update - Halfords have undertaken an investigation which took 2 days - what a joke did they speak to tyre fitter how did he manage to rip a brand new reinforced tyre wall trying to fit it to my wheel - - they state curb damage - their depot manager and the regional manger have decided it was curd damage - this is 100% not curb damage - DO NOT USE HALFORDS - !!!

Didn't turn up on the day
Book the service by calling them up, the lady confirmed to me that it was booked for the following day. I received the email confirmation and text. On the morning when they were meant to arrive it said that they were coming between 12-4pm instead of the morning slot at 8am. Then at 4pm they still didn't arrive and I called them up and they said it was a system issue and apologised. Unfortunately they weren't able to book for the following day as the were fully booked and now I have to wait an extra day without a car! It was really frustrating as I took time off work for this.

Would give it zero stars if I could. Ordered two tyres, fitter turns up to tell me he can't fit them because the machine wouldn't fit 20" rims. He said he didn't want to risk damaging my rims. He then returned two days later, fitted the tyres and damaged the rims, scouring the laquer off the wheels with the machine and putting gouges in the rim edges with tyre leavers. He also tells me he can't balance the wheels because there are no weights in the van!, apparently I wouldn't notice!!.
Phone up to complain, tell me to send pictures and a copy of the receipt to get the wheels balanced by an independent, which I did immediately. Not heard anything since (4 weeks) Bunch of bullshi**ng amateurs stay well clear!
Absolute s#£te service. Over and above the +£550 for a couple of tyres, this experience has cost me another £230 to put all the damage right.
My advice would be pay a little more for a professional service and stay well clear of these cowboys!

Charged for a failed order
Booked and paid for my tyres. Fitting some time between 8am and 8pm.
8pm rolls around and no sign of the technician. Ring them up, and despite the money being charged and taken, it was classed as a failed order, no technician was assigned. Was then told it can take a further 48 hours to look into why it failed. Tracking number is usless and just gave a spinning timer tryoing to load.

Judged by how they deal with problems.
I've used this company a number of times over the years and have never had a problem. However, the quality of a company/service can always be judged by the way the deal with issues.
After having to rearrange dates at the last minute due to the fitter breaking his tyre tool, two front tyres were fitted but when leaving the fitter stated that a "previous tyre fitter" must have broken the pressure sensor and so I would have to get it fixed myself.
However, one new tyre was flat the next morning.
Tried all week via the call centre to get someone to come and sort the tyre. Kept getting told a technician would call back but they never have.
Ended up taking the wheel to the local Halfords tyre place (who were brilliant) who took the tyre off to reseat it and...the broken sensor was sat in the new tyre which was why the tyre was losing pressure. I now need them to come and take the tyre off again, fit a new sensor and inevitably go to my dealer to get it reprogrammed all of which ruins any of the 'convenience' gained by getting the tyres fitted at home.
The email address available on the website/emails goes to an unmonitored inbox. The call centre (03330166550) people either put you on infinite hold or cut you off plus there is no option for issues so there appears to be no way of getting this sorted
Disappointed.

STILL waiting for refund a week later. No contact and no help from customer service other than "escalating" the issue and telling me "this happens a lot with online orders '.
Ordered tyres to be fitted Saturday afternoon. Received two confirmation emails and a text on Saturday morning confirming they would be with me between 12 and 2. Called several times and was eventually told there is no order ( despite the emails, text and the fact they had taken payment ) "It happens a lot sorry we'll refund". No interest in rearranging the booking or giving any help whatsoever. Never again ! Only leaving this as their email address is no longer monitored so can't complain directly

Fitter failed to turn up despite being told they were on their way!
Booked a timed slot (12-4pm) and when the fitter had not arrived by 4.15pm I phoned and was assured they were on their way and would be with me in 45 minutes. After 1.5 hours still no sign of the fitter and so phoned again to be told that they could not get through to the depot and that the cut-off time was 6.30pm. All in all a waste of my time (over 6 hours) and massive inconvenience as needed the car for a family occasion the next day. Made worse as could have gone to a local fitters for cheaper. Had used this service before but won't be using again.

Cancelled 1h before appointment, re arrange work round this, so had to re book for a mid week slot, again had to juggle work commitments around for the car to be at home, I've expressed my distafaction on this, and was told I would have a urgent call back regarding this, guess what I haven't had one now, chased with email and phone call, no reply
